Still one of my favorite local spots!! Everytime I'm back in Mount Pleasant for work I make a point to come in. The owner is one of the kindest people and makes it easy to support such an awesome cafe!

BEST MATCHA EVER! I get mine with almond milk and they have all of the alternate milk options you could want. The staff is the best part of this place. They are the sweetest most engaging people you'll ever meet. This place has such a community rallying behind it and it is clear why they have been so successful! They have such quality coffee and people working here. I hope people always support this local business!

Tidal Grounds continues to be fabulous coffee stuff right here in our local community. The staff go way beyond to make the customer experience enriched. I'm so happy to see it. Bustling with customers because it truly is well deserved. Cool vibes make a great ambience. The coffee, exceptional and now they do breakfast burritos which is an awesome boost.

Very cute coffee shop! The decor was very homey and eclectic, you don't feel like you're in the middle of a plaza. The baristas were very welcoming. I had an excellent single origin pour over. The pastries were very good, I would definitely recommend the almond danish!

A good local coffee shop. I got the tidal wave after seeing pics of it online. I tried asking the barista what's in it but he told me it's kind of a secret, but that it's sweet and salty. I thought this was cool so I ordered it. I'm not sure the flavor but it had a milky taste. Wasn't the best drink I ever had but I liked the element of surprise. My friend got a galaxy drink that is a black color due to the ingredients in it. It's cool looking. The decor in here is also fabulous. Good place to read or do work if you're local.

Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. This is a great place to read a book or get some work done. Cute coffee shop with various seating options. And of course the drinks were good!

Let me do you a favor and tell you exactly what to order. Try their honey lavender coffee. It's delicious. You'll thank me for the greatest recommendation. Try their pastries. My son loved their ghost cookie ( honey theme). My daughter ordered their blueberry scones. My daughter loved it. I tried their scones but I think my husband makes the best scones. Their scones were okay. It's not sweet and goes well with lavender coffee. Cute little coffee shop and lots of sitting inside.

    Ham and Swiss "croissant".

Service was good, coffee was good, but can't recommend the ham and cheese croissant. Looked and tasted like it could have come from a gas station.

Broccoli and cheese quiche. Fluffy but with a satisfying bite. Nice flaky crust. So good!

Nice little coffee house hidden away in plain sight! Very comfy vibe but not packed in too tight. The quiche I had was great! Fluffy but substantial with just the right amount of seasoning. Good solid cup of cold brew. Very friendly staff. I'll stop in here again when I'm back in town!

This was the only coffee shop that was open around. I got an iced Matcha latte with oat milk. It was good. I also tried a strawberry danish and it was also good. Everything was good it just wasnt anything to wow me. Service was fine albeit a little awkward. The place is cute!

I didn't spend much time here, but the time I did spend was awesome! And I could instantly tell that I would love to spend more time here if I was in the area. My friend and I were in Charleston, SC and love to try different coffee shops and came across this one that was open "late". Most of the coffee shops were closing at 5pm and this one was open later! We were able to order ahead on an app and they even put it outside for us. We still stopped by inside to check it out for a second, but we were able to sit outside and relax. We tried their cold brew as well as this drink they have called the "Galaxy Latte" which had charcoal in it! I don't know if I was able to taste the charcoal, but it looked awesome and it wasn't too sweet and I enjoyed it. Everyone was really nice when we walked inside and it wasn't too crowded. It wasn't on the island where downtown Charleston was, so it has more chill vibes, than crazy busy beach city vibes.

While the café isn't officially pet friendly indoors, we've brought Luna inside with us just to place our order, and no one has ever said anything. If you're looking to sit and eat, there's a very cute (though small) porch area out front. Despite the limited seating, we've always managed to find an open spot during our visits. What I didn't realize until more recently is that they actually have a huge patio in the back as well. It's such a great space and gives you a lot more room to sit and relax. They even have a lift in the back area for disabled accessibility, which I thought was really great to see and not something you find everywhere. Always love the coffee here -- great flavor, consistent quality, and a spot we'll definitely keep coming back to.

The desserts really should have been discarded and not served. Very disappointed. Service could have been better. No way the staff didn't know how old the desserts were in the case. Cookie was okay, better than the desserts in the case. Overall a waste of money and would recommend going somewhere else for dessert.

I wasn't aware they were James Beard nominated, but it makes sense because the line grew quickly! Despite the line, there were staff passing out samples and menus to help us decide. All staff were extremely kind and helpful! There were plenty of small tables outside to enjoy your order if it's not busy. We ordered the strawberry almond croissant, a strawberry cake that I'm still thinking about, pain au chocolat, and the mushroom focaccia. My husband said they won the best cup of coffee on the trip as well!

Staff had nice attitude, but food and service were mediocre, if not poor. The biggest problem was that at noon they were running out of lots of items on the menu: I first ordered focaccia, sold out. Then breakfast sandwich, sold out. Then Mulffaletta, sold out. Then breakfast plate; the sourdough in it was sold out. I ended up sharing the Mulffaletta with another customer (who offered to share it with me, thanks a lot!!). For Pastel de Nata, I ask them to heat it but they forgot to do so. Moreover, this $3.5 pastry was really really tiny, despite that it was delicious. I also ordered the butter bean salad, but it tasted cheap. In short, I do not recommend it if you want to get some interesting or good cafe food.
