Overall, this place is decent. Friendly environment, clean, adequate parking & decent food. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner the entire day. I ordered biscuits with gravy ($3.99) and a side of sausage links which tasted pretty good, however, the biscuits had too much gravy, but it the excess was easily pushed aside & im sure requesting light gravy (or on the side) wouldn't be an issue. My only complaint which may be a non issue for you guys was that the freaking (little bitty) sausage links costs $2.99 for two!! Like, really?!? Wish we had found this place earlier in trip! Great little diner with best country fried steak we've ever had! I had the liver and onions and our daughter had the cheeseburger, which was juicy and yummy she said. Best of all, no sticker shock when check arrived! We've been surprised by how expensive restaurants are here and have been trying to save money by going to diners. We didn't like Dot's or American Pie, but liked this place very much. Best of all, our server, Kim, was wonderful! She recommended the must sees for New Orleans that weren't too expensive. She also offered to take a picture of us next to the fun Salvador Dali inspired mural outside. She joined us in the last shot! She was fantastic! Go there and tell her Hi! Found this cozy little breakfast spot while staying at a hotel nearby and was not disappointed. It is small, no frills, nothing fancy - but the food was good and cheap. Typical diner with a little bit of everything on the menu. I had eggs, hash browns and sausage - my boyfriend had pancakes and bacon. Everything was VERY good. The pancakes were huge, fluffy and fantastic. The sausage was exceptionally good, as well. The staff was all friendly, quick and helpful. No complaints! read more

Excellent diner / cafe food. Classic hamburger always perfect but if you can get the lunch special never pass up the green beans. They must toss on the grill because there's a taste that I can't capture at home. The French toast breakfast is really good. They even have a special of liver & onions that's hard to find now-a-days. I've been here twice and the 2nd time around I was a bit disappointed. When entering we were sat right away by our waitress and she gave us the right amount of time to look over their menu. We ordered our food before the table next to us was sat. A coincidence that they had order the EXACT same two entrees as we did. We only knew this because one of the server was wondering why there were two tickets with the exact entrees and had thought maybe a mistake was made and double checked with both tables. Well their food came out to them first which was odd considering we sat down first and ordered before they did. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it then and there but it did bothered me a bit. All the workers in there were pretty friendly and the customers seem like they were mostly regulars. It is a small diner and seem like it'sa local's favorite. I order the country fried steak with hashbrown, scramble eggs, and toast. it was all delicious. The hashbrown was cook to the right amount of crispiness. The gravy on the steak wasn't too salty either. My boyfriend order the cheeseburger and it was made perfect. The meat wasn't not under or overcooked. We both were satisfied with our meals. read more

This place was packed! I love trying a place out and people are steady coming in. It tells me the food is good and I'm in the right place. The employees were very friendly, professional and down to earth. They were attentive to our needs although there were so many people dinning in. The food is good and you get a nice amount for low prices. They have regulars who can be VERY helpful when ordering. Be sure when you go in to say hi to Keisha! Although she was in "the back" cooking and plating she spoke to us and made sure we werw helped and received any and everything we needed. This is a 24/7 diner style dive. They have lots of breakfast items along with a few sandwiches, hamburgers, po boys, steaks, country fried steak and chicken. I'm not a big breakfast person but they have decent sandwiches and burgers with the roast beef po boy being respectable. Okay, so I broke down here not too long ago and discovered I felt bad about my existing review. The staff here is AMAZING! Not only did they give me a free meal when my car was stuck outside, but one of the employees went to great lengths to help me with my car troubles. After about an hour of working on the car we decided the starter was broken, and one of the regulars *gave me a ride to my house*. Forget about what I said about this place serving frozen dinners, the people here are amazingly nice. I've lived around the corner from Tic-Toc for two years and only visited once until recently. My first visit then was in the evening and left me un-impressed. But that was almost two years ago and the recent reviews were 4 and 5 stars so I decided to give it another shot. I'm very glad I did. Looks like it's best to go in the morning/early afternoon. Maybe it's because it's a busier time or perhaps a better cook, but the dishes then are much better than later in the day. So far my favorite has been corned beef hash with two eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. It's a big plate of food for under $6. read more

I give it a solid three stars largely because of the service. My husband and I each got a standard breakfast meal on a Saturday evening. We were the only people in there for a while, so we got to observe the fry cook and the server for quite a while. The food was was ok with an alright price attached., and we were served with decent speed. The elderly woman who served us had an "I don't take shit" attitude combined with a friendliness which made her quite a character, and the fry cook was really outgoing and friendly. They made quite a match. If for nothing else than to people watch, Tic Toc Cafe is worth a stop. read more

Hit up this place before crossing the Causeway, because I definitely needed a cup of coffee before meeting the boyfriend's family. The coffee was strong, the servers were funny and chatty and the regulars seemed like a good crew. We shared a plate of Kitchen Sink Hashbrowns (as in everything but the...) and thoroughly enjoyed it. As I live in Austin, I can't be a regular to this place, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone in its general vicinity. Not impressed. Have a seat where every you like. Ok. I picked a table. Oh nooo not there it is reserved for a meeting. Ok that is embarrassing. Coffee pancakes and bacon. Coffee was ok. Pancakes had an odd taste and were rubbery in texture, the bacon was cooked to crumbly consistency. No chewing necessary. The atmosphere looked dirty. Not quite clean. But not quite sanitary either. The notice to pay at counter posted on table is humorous since you can't get anywhere close to the counter with the L portion sticking out. I was actually looking forward to eating here but from the moment I was told not there loudly in front of strangers the experience became lacking. Wasn't the easiest of places to get to. Food is average. I got the GOOD START with sausage patties with a 12 oz orange juice. My waitress didn't check on me much. I had my food but no silverware or condiments. She herself was very polite & well spoken, just forgot about me. I got my food quickly. The total was $10.18. I had to switch out my Diet Coke Bc it tasted like it was sweetened with sweet'n low.
