Family run business. Fast but thorough check-up. My wait was about 15 minutes as promised. Walk-in appointments welcomed. Friendly service. Easy-to-find location, east of Clovis Avenue, off of Barstow Avenue. I was charged $49 for my smog check, which is less than many of its competitors. (Trust me, I did my research.) I was pleased with the first-come-first-served policy here. The price was fair and the process was quick. I would definitely come here again but here's the catch... I'm a very mechanically inclined and when he explained that a light was out in my dash and the car wouldn't pass without the light; I asked what he would like to do about it. He said he could diagnose the problem for $145! Well as I stated, I'm the type that works on he's own stuff so I went down the street the Auto Zone, took the cluster apart in just a few minutes and replaced the light bulb for a total of $3.56! Like I said, I'd come back here for smog but I would never have him diagnose a problem. read more

Wow!! I called ahead and the gentleman told me to come on down. I showed up and they took my car in immediately. I literally only had time to find change, buy a Pepsi from the old school machine, read 1 page of the book I brought and they were done!! I'm still in shock. Very pleased with the service there. Stopped in today to get a smog check done prior to registering my truck. Was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The service tech handed me my paperwork, explained the report should be uploaded to dmv in an hour and I would be good to go to register my truck. read more

I should have believed the reviews. Service was terrible, and rude. The owner kept interrupting me while i answer his questions. Paper work to be done was just handed over without proper courtesy. I beg you who wanted to go for a smog check not to go there. There are lots for other reputable shops out there. read more

I have a Rolls Royce, that needed to go to STAR station, not only did the gentleman working not know how to smog it, claiming it as an exotic vehicle, but wouldn't tell me where I may find another STAR station. I explained that it's just another vehicle, similar to a BMW As they share all the same smog equipment etc. He was rude, short and disrespectful. Look I get it if you don't know how to do something, but would it hurt you to put a customer who came to you first for a service in the right direction, if it is yourself that cannot perform what your Job description and business title dictates? I'm certain his attitude is the reason he has zero cars in his shop or parking lot. I would not recommend this business to someone I did not like. read more

It was decorated like a 1950s diner, resplendent with a self-serve coffee bar, filtered water fountain for hot and cold water and plenty of refreshments. The room was air-conditioned with a cute little table in the middle and plenty of seating despite the small space. It's perfect if you're planning to stay and wait. Five stars for a smog DMV service station... what the helli?…read more My car didn't pass smog initially. Turns out I had tear in my air-intake hose. They showed me the broken part and even did a quick demo, pointing out how to remove the part for fast replacement. They also mentioned this was pretty common in older model Hondas. Since I had already paid; they said get the part replaced, come back, and I could basically skip the line to get the test done. I replaced the part myself, which I'm pretty proud of, came back the next day and then my battery died... what the f@%k?! - NOTE: If your battery dies, the car computer has to reset. Which means you need to drive around for at least 50-miles. I did this, came back, they slide me in, and finally passed smog! The staff here was super patient, helpful, and very understanding to my situation. Beyond registration they also replace key fobs for cars and can cut new car keys as well.

Went to this place based on reviews and I definitely did not have the same experience everybody else had. When I pulled up an older gentleman walked out and didn't even greet me. All he said was pull up, so I did into the garage. He started working immediately without saying a word so I asked him how much it would cost for all the services. He quoted $57.00 which was okay with me. After he finished he told me my catalytic converter wasn't set and to drive around as much as possible and to come back to finish up the smog check. Five stars for a smog DMV service station... what the helli?…read more My car didn't pass smog initially. Turns out I had tear in my air-intake hose. They showed me the broken part and even did a quick demo, pointing out how to remove the part for fast replacement. They also mentioned this was pretty common in older model Hondas. Since I had already paid; they said get the part replaced, come back, and I could basically skip the line to get the test done. I replaced the part myself, which I'm pretty proud of, came back the next day and then my battery died... what the f@%k?! - NOTE: If your battery dies, the car computer has to reset. Which means you need to drive around for at least 50-miles. I did this, came back, they slide me in, and finally passed smog! The staff here was super patient, helpful, and very understanding to my situation. Beyond registration they also replace key fobs for cars and can cut new car keys as well.
