We took 2 days and visited 5 various dealers. Car brands are uniquely different and so are the dealerships. Luckily we met Jackie Galvan at Toyota Our #2 stop. She was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. We test drove a car and a truck. in the end she presented us with both the buying and leasing options. It is always a lack of courtesy and bad business to overpromise but underperform or not follow through. The lack of accountability in this service department and some systemic issues I have noticed can be a bit frustrating after having my vehicle serviced here a good handful of times. There are just too many examples I can cite. Failure to call back when the parts that need to be ordered (e.g., tires) arrive as they promised (so I can bring my car in to get them replaced) is always a big one. This has happened at least a couple of times at this particular dealership and service center. Where is the courtesy call so I can schedule an appointment or do a drop-off? Accidentally charging me for a replacement part covered under a warranty is another. Suggesting servicing for maintenance (e.g., oil and filter change, belt replacement, tire rotation) when it was done at a prior service appointment only months before. What happened to doing a thorough diagnostic inspection and reviewing their database and checklist of services done on each vehicle that has been serviced there previously like mine? I will just leave it there. What makes it all worse is that there is never an apology, just an explanation of what happened. I call those excuses and a lack of professional courtesy. It might also be worth noting that, at the sake of sounding self-effacing, I believe I am more patient and understanding than many. However, a consistent lack of good communication and poor attention to detail across the board from the service crew to its advisors warrants some blame and responsibility. Not being up to par with the standards of other Toyota dealership service departments in other cities throughout the state is very alarming at this Clovis location. read more

I recently purchased a brand-new 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid XLE from Toyota of Clovis. I was excited about the purchase, but unfortunately I've already encountered a significant quality issue, and the experience with service has been disappointing so far. Within a short time of owning the vehicle, the leather-type dashboard material began peeling in multiple locations, and white powder started coming out from the seams. Since the car is brand new, I immediately brought it to Toyota of Clovis service. They checked the vehicle and told me the issue had to be reviewed by a Toyota field specialist who only comes every 2 weeks. I waited the full 2 weeks, called today for an update, and was told I need to wait another 2 weeks because of the upcoming holidays. This means I will be waiting close to a month (or more) just for someone to look at the problem, while the peeling continues to spread and get worse. For a new 2025 vehicle, this has been extremely frustrating. What I hoped for was better communication, follow-through, and a quicker review for a clear manufacturing defect. At this point, the delay has gone far beyond what I expected when buying a new Toyota from this dealership. I still hope Toyota of Clovis and Toyota Corporate can resolve this issue with the dashboard under warranty and restore my confidence. Once the repair or replacement is completed, I will be happy to update this review. But right now, I feel stuck waiting with a new car that is already deteriorating, and the process has been much slower and less supportive than it should be. read more

The wife brought her car in at her appointment time for a tire rotation and fluid check, to be told it would take three hours. So what's the point of making an appointment? Three and a half hours later, it was "done." On the way home, the exhaust started smoking, so she brought it back. We were told the manager would be with us in five minutes. No one ever came to talk to her. One hour later, my wife approached the service desk, to be told that the problem was that she brought the car in there for an oil change two days ago and the oil was overfilled. Except that she didn't. The whole time, they kept asking her what she had done to cause the issue. Never saw a manager. Never got an apology. All told, she spent over six hours of her day getting a tire rotation. Wow. And no, "Customer Relations," I will not be reaching out to you so you can contact me about my experience. We were very impressed with Gloria after contacting a dozen dealerships for a very specific car, trim and color scheme. Although we did not purchase the vehicle with this dealership due to very limited available throughout the entire state of California, we could not move on without recognizing Gloria. 01-10-2025 Do your research before you get here, be preapproved by a lender at a rate you are comfortable with. We went knowing which vehicle we wanted. We found it on their website, and it was a gold certified preowned vehicle. We drove over a 100 miles one way to check it out and we liked it. Our sales guy tried to up sell us on an expensive alarm system and vehicle maintenance. Then he quoted us a higher interest rate even though we told him we are preapproved at a lower rate. He even ran our credit history and saw it's very good. We walked away from the deal. Few days later I get an email from the GM thanking us for stopping by and if we had any questions or concerns to give him a call. I called Chris and told him why we walked away from purchasing a vehicle from them. Chris checked his computer and verified we had a much lower interest rate than quoted by one of his salesmen. Chris said he would straighten this out with his sales manager and asked if we would come back. We drove back 100 miles again and with just a couple of more hiccups we bought the vehicle. I was a little disappointed that the cabin air filter was not changed for a gold certified preowned vehicle. I was happy they gave us a full tank of gas. I do have to mention the interior including the restrooms where very clean. Kudos to the maintenance crew. read more

Scheduled an appt for a recall. Was told that they had to order my parts and they scheduled my appt more than a week later. I understood and took the appt. They followed up to confirm appt and I thought great I'll get it fixed. Took time off work and paid for an uber home only to find out that they never got my part and they had no idea when they were going to get the parts. So they had my car for no reason. Mind you, with this recall I can't get my tags until it gets fixed. It's been over 2 weeks now and I still have not heard back. Crazy that Toyota can't even fix their own cars. Toyota of Clovis showed me a fair deal on their website when I used their Smartpath pricing on a car that would take a bit over a month to arrive. After paying a deposit and waiting for the car to be delivered to the dealership, I took a bus to Clovis. I am happy that the deal went through smoothly. I have two suggestions. The first is that the dealership should make sure that the customer knows an official transcript is required in order to get Toyota's college rebate. That is stated on Toyota's website, but the text is easy to miss. The second is for Toyota; their wheel locks need to have a better design in order to effectively deter wheel thieves. I am thankful that the dealership sold me the car, and I look forward to driving it every day. read more

So my husband and I have been thinking about getting a truck and we were back and forth between the different brand trucks. We finally decided on a Toyota. My sister, her husband and father-in-law are well known customers here for many years. They basically treat them like family. My sister referred us to Roger and her father-in-law gave management a heads up about us coming in what we were looking for. So when my husband and I went to check out their inventory we were treated like family. We made an appointment back in May. Due to the shortage in inventory we had to reserve the truck. Roger was able to tell us when the next truck was being built and an estimate time as to when it was being delivered. There is a required refundable deposit to hold the car once the car arrives you have 3days to pick it up. We waited almost 2 months for our truck to be built and delivered. Within that 2 months we kept in touch with Roger he answered our questions and kept us up to date. The day our truck arrived he contacted us and made a same day appointment to look and test drive. We were able to look, test drive and sign all the required documents in 3.5 hours. I also did a trade in with my vehicle at that time. They initially quoted less for the trade in but decided to make our lives easier so we wouldn't have to drive back and forth by matching the quote we were happy with. Roger took his time to explain everything, he helped set up/ register for the audio/Apple app car play. Roger also gave us a tour of the building and showed us where we would leave the car and the process when we get it serviced. He also explained all the warranties and gave us coupons for oil changes and set up our first appointment. When we did our signing Marc explained everything we were signing. Only complaint was they supposedly "detailed" the car before presenting it to us. The interior had white spots on the door that need to be wiped. The car was washed but it was visible that it was rushed. The truck bed was still wet but the workers did come back to wipe it down and apologized. Overall, we really appreciated the friendly staff that treated us like family. From our sales rep Roger, Marc to management Kk and Rudy, thank you Toyota of Clovis. My husband and I are happy with our brand new 2022 Tundra 4x4 CrewMax . You can never go wrong with a Toyota! I have always used Clovis Toyota to buy new cars and service purchased vehicles, long before they became Clovis Toyota and am very disappointed in their service department. Took our low mileage Camry in for an oil change 2 months ago about 190 miles since the oil change and I noticed we had drips on our garage floor. Very rare but I called Clovis Toyota to discuss but after 2 days of taking to their new AI answering recording named Willow and getting hung up on for days, I finally got a hold of a real person, very rude lady who said they would need or car all day and there would be no ride home available to us. I asked to speak with a manager since keeping my car all day for something that they probably caused is wrong. Three days later we got a call back and he set up an early morning appointment on Wednesday 10-8-25, I show up at scheduled appointment, only to find out he is off today so I have to go over the whole problem with them again. After an hour they came to me and said their technician had forgotten to tighten the drain plug but it was tight now and they cleaned up the mess it created as well as checked the oil level. They acted like they were doing me a favor for fixing their created mess that I paid for to be done correctly. No mention about compensating me for lost time, mileage to and from dealership or the frustration of dealing with Willow their AI receptionist, oh he did state they were working very fast to clear up the problem with their system. Poor workmanship if you can't even do a simple oil change without having a comeback and very poor customer service for a very long-time customer. I guess I am in the market for a new dealership and I recommend you all do the same if you can trust them to do a simple oil change correctly you would be a fool to have them do major repairs. read more

I'm beyond disappointed. The last 3 cars I have purchased have been purchased here. I have a TOYOTA battery with a date sticker of 6/2022 with 84 months warranty. Nelson over at Toyota of Clovis told me on Monday that my battery I got from them was no longer under warranty. I take my car into an auto store to get a new battery and they flat tell me this car is under warranty and that Toyota lied to me. I call again this morning. Just to talk to the same person. They then say my battery is understands warranty and then turns around and says it's not. Meanwhile. I'm looking at a sticker that says 84-month warranty. I always spoke highly about this location. Yeah. Not anymore. I will not be taking my car back to Toyota if Clovis nor will I ever be referring this location again. read more

We had bought 7 previous cars from another local dealer, but this time, the other dealer treated us with disrespect, lack of communication, and very pushy sales reps. But at Toyota of Clovis, Mr. Tommy Logn and his boss KK treated us with respect. They went out of their way to find us our desired car (while the other dealer did not try to find "our model" and tried to upsell us. The model we wanted was in short supply but Tommy found what we wanted. He quoted us a fair price and then we received another discount from Costco Auto Buying Service. I initially was helped by Luis Chavez, who gave me a test drive, showed me some more models on the lot and was patient. I came back with more questions, Luis was gone for the day. So Thai Vang graciously helped me answered all my concerns and was at ease informing me about what each Toyota models had to offer and was so pleasant. Absolutely terrible service department. To begin, I had called to make an appointment for a broken door handle, made the appointment and asked for a service advisor to call with an estimate of the repair. Never received a call. Arrived for my appointment, was 1st in line and had to wait 20 minutes for service advisor, and the woman behind me was waited on before me. Once I did have and advisor talk to me he told me the handle would need to be replaced, however the new handle would not match the paint of the truck. I told him that was unacceptable. He told me the handles do not come from the factory the color of the truck. I said you won't paint the part? I was told it could be done, but we don't normally paint these parts. With that, I informed him I would take the truck to another dealership or body shop to get it fixed. Twenty minutes later, Blackstone Toyota told me they would take the door apart, assess the repair, send me an estimate and if the entire handle needed replacing, would paint it to match. All done within the time I waited for an advisor at Toyota of Clovis. I don't see how Toyota of Clovis stays in business. read more

My car has been there 1.5 weeks, since Wednesday, 8/23/23. First they could not figure out why my Prius ran out of coolant(for the 4th time). On Friday, 08/25/23, they said they found the issue and it would only take 1 or 2 days to get parts. Monday, 8/28, Toyota said parts will be in on Thursday or Friday morning. My salesperson Leny and the other sales people we encountered were helpful and respectful, but the financial manager Marc Giusti was extremely condescending and rude. Bought a used car (non Toyota) here yesterday (10/25). I had a great experience. Contacted the dealership Tuesday with an offer via AutoTrader. Within minutes they reached out to me and I was able to schedule a visit. Being out of town they said they would hold the car Wednesday so it would still be there when I got there. Felt that was a nice courtesy. Arrived Wednesday at 11am. Sam was my salesperson. He was great!! Extremely polite, funny, knowledgeable. I enjoyed having him ride shotgun on our test drives. Had a concern about the car, he admittedly did not know the answer but was able to get his manager, Eric (also great!), to come out and explain/diffuse my concern. Additionally, the sales manager put the car up on the rack in the service dept and allowed me to inspect myself. That felt pretty above and beyond. Also gave me a list of all the services performed on the car while they had it. Additional reassurance and a head start on maintenance! I decided to purchase and was probably a little obnoxious on the detailing requests but they did everything I asked. Was out of there before 3pm! this place takes care of my ex's car, and because of the ex relationship I sometimes need to be involved with the decisions and payments. let me just say i am relieved that Keith and Jason in service can handle many personality types and moods! when a wiper issue was overlooked they were clear about visually missing it on the multipoint inspection and glad they were able to make another service visit a success. a tire that was purchased through last years good year tire sale was worn down enough to be covered under warranty from a thin nail puncture so only needing to purchase one tire and keep watch on the other tires is a nice feeling - also makes me relieved one shop has all the car's history... since time flies. i would recommend this shop, Toyotas are fun cars, if work takes longer than expected sometimes they offer a loaner! more than a small shop would be able to offer, will return for next oil change & tire rotation.
