The Cummins diesel oil filter can be tricky, you can only access the filter through the passenger-side fender well. On these trucks, you really have to know what you're doing, right front tire has to be removed to properly access the fender-well opening and extract the oil filter. They handled the entire diesel oil change perfectly. Not a single drop of oil was left on my vehicle, and they also completed the safety checks, including my brakes and other important service items. Thankfully, I brought it in when I did, because I learned my wheel could have come off if I hit another bump. I initially brought my car to get the brakes checked out, they were squeaking and also the check-engine light was on. We paid for the diagnostics check and their initial diagnosis showed a small leak involving the purge valve and the motor mounts were bad. I agreed to have the brakes and motor mounts replaced the same day, which I still believe the motor mounts were still ok. The very next day, the brake warning light came on so I immediately contacted the shop and brought the car back. They then discovered that they had ordered the wrong brakes. During the second visit working on the brakes, we had them do a smoke test also to look for the small leak, which we paid for, they told me there was no leak anywhere to be found and everything was fine. I don't know why but they took it upon themselves to start looking for other problems they could find with the vehicle. With no authorization from us. Apparently, they were testing modules under the drivers' seat and not telling what else because they told me the seat had to be removed to test them properly. They also blew a fuse. I had to get back to work after 3 hours of waiting. As I was about to drive away, I had trouble. The car would not go in reverse or forward, finally it jumped into reverse which worried me and then I switched it to forward and it did the same thing just jerking back and forth and all the warning lights came on the dashboard. I immediately called the shop and returned the vehicle to get looked at, I was then told that I had a bad alternator and that the vehicle cannot be driven, that I would have to have it towed home or leave it overnight. Now I am really doubting this business, because I had just gotten back from the bay area and I had no problems whatsoever. Only now after they messed up the control modules and they didn't even bolt the module box back on. Third visit. I got the alternator replaced, and later that day the engine light came on warning about worn brake pads, Unbelievable. So, I made another appointment to look at the brake problem. Fourth visit. I was told there was a bad sensor either pinched or rubbing against something. So, as they were fixing the brakes they did another smoke test to find the engine light problem. This time it is a charcoal canister leak. At this point, I decided I was done bringing my vehicle back. I have spent nearly $4,000 at this shop, and I originally went in for a squeezing brake and a check-engine light that initially showed a small purge-valve leak. After all the repairs and charges, the fourth diagnosis was still essentially the same as the first diagnosis I received when I initially brought my vehicle in. Despite paying for multiple diagnostics and repairs, my vehicle still has the check engine light on. This is especially concerning because I was charged for repairs based on the diagnoses provided, yet the original problem has not been resolved. I do not recommend this shop based on my experience.
