I took my car in due to a grinding noise coming from my rear wheel. I had previously taken it to a nationwide chain auto shop (that I will not name lol) and they told me brakes were fine but wanted $1600 to do my shocks which I didn't think was right and the grinding continued. I can't speak highly enough about Chris. He replaced the brakes on my Volvo a few months ago and I called Friday in a panic because they seemed to go bad overnight and we had a trip this weekend. When I called he told me he was booked out a week and still managed to squeeze me in. He then looked at the time and miles since my brakes were replaced and instantly thought something was amiss. However when I explained why I thought I knew what was wrong, without any argument, Chris suggested a way to test my theory without actually installing the part. He was right. No Limit Auto repair is the only place in town to take your auto or truck for repair, My wife has a 2016 Jeep Grand cherokee and it went absolutely nuts wipers turned on back door opening would not start and would not come out of Park...Crazy....Called around to several places and no one wanted to take it on and I heard about No Limit, So I called them and they were not able to get to it for a couple days but didn't tell me they did not want to take it on. Finally got it to them after the weekend and they said they would call me with an estimate... The next day I was called and said it was fixed and could come and pick it up...I asked how much and I was told no charge...I'm like "what" and he said no charge...It seemed that the battery came loose from the Hold down and it tipped and arced and caused the Computer to go crazy and they cleared all the codes and it was running fine now. Said he couldn't see charging for something like that. WOW I was Totally shocked because in all my Years no one I did not know did anything without charging something!..Kuddos to you guys and you have my Lifetime Business and anyone else that I can steer your way. read more

Recently moving to the Fresno/Clovis area, I was looking for a dealer alternative for repairs/maintenance on my Land Rover. After doing a search on Yelp and found No Limit Auto Services. After reaching out to Chris via the Request a Quote function, I was quote a price that was cheaper than the dealership. Great service & very honest. I had forgotten I'd been there before until I drove up. We had an old jeep that gave me issues every time I took it in to a very fancy place in clovis. Polished floors!, but I had to go back several times - leaking oil & warning messages were left on...ugh; a mistake. Chris @ No Limit worked on that jeep later, as I remember, and it drove great until age took its toll & we traded it in for a used Mazda SUV. I never wrote a review, but I remember that now & he even asked me about that car today! I started filing my auto repair receipts & it looks like I tried the clovis place for the 30,000 mile oil change for the current car. It looks like they added on an air filter & a cabin filter. I got my car fixed here recently. On the positive side, they were very nice people and even waited for me when I was running late after work (while very thoughtful, I'm not encouraging anyone else to inconvenience them!). On the negative side, they didn't actually fix the problem I took it in for. I'm assuming that might be because they don't know Hondas too well. I took it to them for a very specific problem. They did some routine maintenance, which I assumed encompassed the specific problem I was facing. Then two days later I ended up broken down on the side of the highway while en route to a graduation several hours from home. I was fuming, so I called them to ask what else was wrong that they didn't fix, because this was a much worse version of the problem for which I had taken it to them in the first place (at least beforehand, it would start up again after a few minutes...now it wasn't). They seemed baffled and said all they did was routine maintenance (change the oil, replace some spark plugs). I had no idea that they didn't really understand what was causing the issue. While waiting for a tow truck, I called a nearby repair shop in Bakersfield (where I was stranded). They admitted that they weren't very familiar with Hondas and would recommend a place that deals specifically with Hondas. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that honesty. I took it to a repair shop that only does Hondas and after describing the problem and them reading the codes on my car, they knew the problem in about 5 min. No Limit had my car for a day and a half before they were willing to guess at what might be the issue (but didn't tell me at the time how unconfident they were). I appreciate the maintenance No Limit did do, as I'm sure my car needed those things. But...I was livid that they didn't fix the problem I took to them and they didn't tell me at the time that they didn't really understand the root of the issue. I ended up broken down on the side of the highway and missing a graduation as a result. Not a positive experience and I won't be taking my car here again. However, if you drive an American car or something they are a little more familiar with, then I'm sure this is a great shop full of nice people. read more

I was recently passing through Fresno on a cross country move, when my car started overheating just after 5pm on a Friday. I immediately started calling mechanics hoping to get anyone to take a look at it before everything closed up for the weekend. After hearing "sorry, we just closed" from numerous shops, I gave No Limit Auto Services a call. Lenny told me that they were closed, but if I could get there quickly he would take a look at it for me. When I got there Lenny and his two guys immediately got to work diagnosing the problem. His wife kindly went to the store to purchase the necessary part to fix the issue right then. All told, Lenny and his team stuck around almost an hour and a half after close to get me back on the road. I was also taken aback at the beyond reasonable price he charged for his effort. The customer service at No Limit Auto Services is the best I have ever encountered. Lenny unnecessarily went out of his way to get me out of a tough situation.
