2nd time having our cars repaired at this shop. Les Schwab informed me out CV axle was leaking and needed repairs. $700 worth for 1 side. This did not include the $700 I spent on my front brakes and oil change. Doug took a look at my car and said they were both fine. My wife's car had an issue with her clutch pedal staying on the floor. I thought I could fix it by chsnging the clutch master cylinder but I lost a small clip in in the process and couldnt bleed it. Doug and Triple A Automotive are awesome! As my wife and I were driving home to Los Angeles from Yosemite with our trailer in tow, my truck had a major breakdown. We were in Coarsegold on a Friday afternoon, and most auto shops couldn't even look at the car for at least a week. As we were waiting for a tow truck, one of my wife's friends recommended that we try Doug and Triple A Automotive. I called Doug, told him the situation, and he said that he couldn't look at it until Monday morning but that I should bring it in. On Monday morning, I had the truck towed to his shop and left it there for Doug to work his magic. It wasn't an easy fix, but the entire time Doug was always communicating with me and letting me know what they were going to do to get my truck back on the road. It took a few weeks, but that was mainly due to issues with parts. I finally got my truck back, drove it back to L.A., and even took another long road-trip with it this past weekend and it is as good as it ever was. I have a local mechanic that I trust and have been going to for years in Los Angeles. Now I have another mechanic that I trust in Clovis! If I lived closer, Doug and Triple A Automotive would be my go-to. Auto service that's friendly, helpful and most importantly delivered with integrity and professionalism. I liive in the Bay Area and was making my annual trek to Fresno for the holidays, when my 1998 Lexus shutdown east of Los Banos on 152. After having it towed to Fresno, I started calling repair shops at 8am on Xmas eve and found the standard reply from most shops they could not do the work, or those that could wanted to charge a arm and leg to replace my alternator. Well Doug at Triple A Automotive told me he could do this last minute repair before he closed at noon, provided I could be there by 10am. The wrecker arrived shortly before 11am with my car and the job was completed before noon !! Oh, did i mention the cost? He price unbeatable ! I can't say enough about Doug and his assistant. Great service and affordability! I am not from the area and had several other places quote me $200-$300 more than their price for a product of lesser quality than what I received here.
