My vehicle was hit on the passenger side door and damaged the entire passenger side of the car. Brought it for insurance repairs and after over 3 weeks of my car being there I was informed it would be done at the end of the day right before they close... The "replaced doors" have major imperfections and the paint work is extremely poor. On top of it all, I received the car back in the dirtiest, dustiest possible conditions to the point where I needed to have it professionally detailed. We had vandalism to our 1999 Chevy Silverado from an attempted theft that left it non-operational. I called around to at least 10 places (including those recommended by our insurance) and no one would take it or even try to look for parts because they said they wouldn't be able to get the parts (since it was so old apparently). They wouldn't even try as soon as the heard the age of the truck. One other place looked for parts but said they couldn't find any. Enter Clovis Collision/Clovis Auto Body! They looked for parts and FOUND them and agreed to do the repairs. They did the repairs quickly and kept us updated via text and phone. There was one hiccup where we had to bring it back for a fix but they took care of it the same day. They also worked well with our insurance. Vince, referred to me by a third party body shop, offered a reliable fix to my rig. I needed just a small bit of a replaced part of my truck repainted and he came through with the job. Vince asked me for cash only for the job , which I was skeptical of out of fear of being swindled, but ended up being true to his word and caused no hassle when I picked up the vehicle. He had the opportunity to screw me over and ask for more money and decided not to do so, and that's as much of a characteristic test as I can ask for. Had to leave a review for this place for sure. In fact this is my 1st review ever and it needed to be done for this great local shop in Clovis. Brought in my Saab here after having it sit at a shop for 3 MONTHS without any repairs done at a different previous shop in west Fresno, for a rear-end collision I was in. My rear left quarter panel was bent and also needed new trunk. Vehicle was already taken apart from a previous shop and the good people here at Clovis Body & Paint had no problem putting it back together and restoring my vehicle. They worked with my budget and were reasonable with the total for repairs. Definitely gives these guys a call if your vehicle needs repairing! If I had to do lower than 1 I would. Normally I do not do bad reviews. In fact this is my first bad review ever. I try to give the business a second chance. But this time is different. I got an estimate of $2,000 from a short Mexican guy on Wednesday the 21st who told me at the time he was given by owners 40% of profits by running the shop. Then he said but if you bring me cash I will leave it for $1600.00. It was repeated several times. I agreed and requested the estimate in writing for the $1600.00 the guy said, we don't do that! I will just write your deposit right on estimate, minus $500.00. Kind of saying I will remember, which I did not understand how he would balance the books like that. He calls me on Tuesday the 27th and says your car is ready. I say how much do I owe you. He says $1900.00. I say how so, if the total is $1600.00 and I gave you $500.00 cash as you requested. Now he says the total was $2500.00 and you gave me $500.00 down. I of course told him that was incorrect he explicitly asked for "CASH". If it was $2500.00 then why do I have an estimate of $2,000 with a deposit of $500.00. Then I would owe $1500.00 and not $1900.00 which makes no senses and why would I need to pay in cash? He says "you and I are not going to end up well" and hangs up on me. I texted the receipt to him I had for $2,069.60 And reminded him he said $1600.00 CASH. How do you go from $1600.00 to $2500.00 they don't even sound alike. Now I'm in a bad situation, he has my car, and I have an estimate for $2,000.00 and not $1600.00 I realized what he had set up from the beginning. It's a tactic to make you think you misunderstood. I went there right away to his shop and while there he had the audacity to threaten me with going to court! I told him not only court but everyone will hear about his tactics. I went to look at the car. The car needed an engine cradle and a new bumper. The fee for the new bumper was a little bit over $500.00. The Fender look puffy as coming out and looks and feels crooked on the sides. I asked the guy if it was a new bumper. He first said yes, then he change to we'll its a third party after market. I said you did not mention that to me. He then said what do you think AM means on the estimate? I said I don't know what it means if you don't tell me. I paid him only what I owed $1100.00 CASH. I asked for a receipt he again wrote on estimate paid $1100.00. I never got an actual receipt from the guy and wanted me to sign a form where you state you understood all the abbreviations, I walked out with my copy and his and did not sign it not to give him an opportunity to make any changes. Since when I asked for the owners name he told me this time "he was the owner" (changed the story again) I told him when the owner calls me for an appointment I will go back in and we can discuss what happened and the estimate. I hate to think this happened just because I'm a woman and I'm alone. I noticed there were cameras and told him to review the cameras to see he told me $1600.00 over and over and it's when he agreed to accept that. However, during the entire ordeal he was arrogant and snappy. I also asked to provide me with copy of receipt where it states he paid the $500.00 for the bumper. He wouldn't. If you are a woman do not go alone to this place. And if you are a man, be aware. read more

My car broke down when I was traveling through Fresno from San Jose, CA. I was referred to them by a family member and they did a quick and amazing job. They replaced my clutch and transmission fluid with 1 day of me dropping it off. I had to rent a car in order to go back home, and they referred me to a close Enterprise shop near their auto shop. They also drove me to the rental car location free of charge! They called me the day after i dropped it off to let me know that something else had to be done and the price it would cost and asked for my approval (huge win!!!).
