Wonderful service! I was having an engine misfire on my mustang for a year and a half. I had taken it in three different occasions to two different shops within this time frame to have the issue repaired. This first shop claimed it was my fuel injector so I had it replaced. This mis-firing continued so I took back to the same shop. They told me they didnt know what was wrong with it and that I would have to just keep driving it until it go worse. So thats what I did. After the issue became worse, I decided to not waste my time and go straight to the Ford dealer for repair knowing it would be expensive but I thought "well its Ford so they should know how to fix it the problem". I had the worst experience with Ford. They kept my car for 2 and a half months, never returned my calls when I called them and rarely would they call me to update me. They ended up replacing some spark plugs and wires and while they were diagnosing it, my thermostat housing blew out on them so I had to have the thermostat, thermostat housing, and hoses replaced as well. Since I was frustrated at this time with Ford for charging me so much, keeping my car so long, and not communicating with me, I decided to just get my car back from them. My car engine was still misfiring after all these repairs and costs so I had to find someone who knew engines well. A google search led me to the Clovis garage which claimed they specialized in engine repair so I gave them a call. Paul was very friendly, pleasant to talk to and was willing to take on the job so I brought my mustang in and explained my situation. He detailed very clearly how they would proceed to diagnose the problem. I was already pleased. I knew it would take some time since the issue was clearly not easy to resolve but after awhile, they were able to finally figure out the problem. It was my power control module. hallelujah! I finally found my replacement mechanic!! My old mechanic retired and I've been trying other mechanics and auto shops for a couple years but not at all happy until now. Paul was FANTASTIC! Called to make appointment which was fine. Man said he would call me to give me an estimate, never called so I called him back twice and still never let me know what it would cost. I took vehicle in on appointment day and he gave me a $810.00 estimate for 1 belt replacement and upper and lower radiator hoses. I have a newer Toyota should not be that much and never responding to estimate on phone was poor customer service. read more

Clovis Garage is the absolute best! I have a Volvo and this is the ONLY PLACE IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY that I would take my car for maintenance or service. I can't say enough good things about Paul, the owner. The engine needed to be replaced in my car and he was great, working with my extended warranty company (several weeks of emails and waiting on hold, but that's another story), keeping me informed, and being a very responsible service provider. I have had two cars repaired and worked on here. My 1998 Suburban and my 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid. This place does excellent work, but they seem a little pricey. But the work is done well and they seem eager to please. The guys I dealt with here are very pleasant. If you want to be overcharged without getting your problem fixed then take you auto here. My truck was over heating idling with the AC on. Brought it to Clovis garage and they said it was a simple T-Stat. Authorized the repair got a call a week later saying there was a hole in the radiator. Authorized that repair. Paid 2k. A month later the hoses attached to the base of the radiator detached and started leaking. I then took the truck to the dealer and they replaced the same hoses replaced with the radiator. Two weeks later, the truck still over heats so the repair done was unnecessary and never fixed. This place is a joke. Back to the dealer I go. read more

We took our 2009 Tahoe here to have the brakes looked at, as we were told that it appeared they may need replacing. Found out that what we needed was to have the disks turned. We have also taken our other car here for service and have always been very satisfied. They don't suggest work that doesn't need to be done and are very thorough. I had already done some research and had my list of the top 3 autoshops I was considering. You see, I had an overheating issue on my 1994 Honda Civic and needed a good mechanic quick! I called all 3 autoshops. Shops X and Y gave me a quick quote and seemed eager to hangup. Clovis Garage was different. They seemed genuinely concerned about my problem. Both a cousin and an uncle recommended this place, so I tried it, and MAN I'm glad I did! I don't know a thing about cars, but Paul was patient, attentive, and thorough with me. I took my 07 corvette to them for a check engine light, and a whine noise in the engine compartment. clovis garage said it was a dirty throttle body and intake, they said the noise came from the power steering fluid being low however they said there was no leak in the system. They charged me over three hundred dollars to clean and inspect the fuel system. I picked up the vehicle about four days later, paid the bill, I started the vehicle and the noise was even louder, and now it had an additional problem because it wouldent idle correctly. they took the car back in and kept it for two more weeks, then I was told that the throttle body had to be replaced. They advised me that the throttle body from chevy coast 899.00, and the entire job would be around 1100.00 dollars. it was one charge after another with these people, I was afraid to use the bath room for fear of additional charge.i contacted chevy and found that through them I could buy the throttle body for 503.00 dollars. they are charging you over a 50% increase in oem parts. they dident no what they were doing as they had to take it to another garage to check the fuel system. By the time you leave there, it would be cheaper to take it to the dealer. this garage caused the problem with the fuel system by their incompetence, as it ran fine with no idle problems when it was brought in. they just wont own up to it. take your car any where but to clovis garage. read more
