Arrived a little after it opened on a Weekday. I checked in with my DMV paperwork stating the auto required a smog check. I was given an automatic $20 discount. No coupon needed for that. That's great customer service right away. Smog test took 15 minutes max, while I waited I'm the waiting area. Was recommended by a mate to pay this establishment a visit. Waiting time was a bit long, due to it being Saturday morning and no fault of the business itself. If anything, the large clientele spoke well of it. Once they took my vehicle into the station to run the test it was fully serviced within ten minutes. It was decorated like a 1950s diner, resplendent with a self-serve coffee bar, filtered water fountain for hot and cold water and plenty of refreshments. The room was air-conditioned with a cute little table in the middle and plenty of seating despite the small space. It's perfect if you're planning to stay and wait. It was early in the day, so I took a walk around since it's in the heart of Old Town, near all sorts of wonderful little businesses. As such, they gave me a call upon service completion.

Five stars for a smog DMV service station... what the helli?…read more My car didn't pass smog initially. Turns out I had tear in my air-intake hose. They showed me the broken part and even did a quick demo, pointing out how to remove the part for fast replacement. They also mentioned this was pretty common in older model Hondas. Since I had already paid; they said get the part replaced, come back, and I could basically skip the line to get the test done. I replaced the part myself, which I'm pretty proud of, came back the next day and then my battery died... what the f@%k?! - NOTE: If your battery dies, the car computer has to reset. Which means you need to drive around for at least 50-miles. I did this, came back, they slide me in, and finally passed smog! The staff here was super patient, helpful, and very understanding to my situation. Beyond registration they also replace key fobs for cars and can cut new car keys as well.

I spent most of my time looking for a coupon on my email that they sent out from oil changers. But the 3 technicians each struck up a friendly customer service oriented conversation. I went with my mechanic today to interpret a problem between smog master owner and my mechanic. The owner got violent and swung a 3ft screw driver and then threw it at my mechanic. He said , " We don't need your kind here. Go back to where you came from!" My mechanic fled Iraq when Sadam was in power fleeing persecution. The owner is a RACIST against the middle eastern people. Not to mention he attacked my mechanic. Clovis Police came and my mechanic was the better man. He did not press charges. EVERYONE should know the Smog Master people are Racists! They showed me the broken part and even did a quick demo, pointing out how to remove the part for fast replacement. They also mentioned this was pretty common in older model Hondas. Since I had already paid; they said get the part replaced, come back, and I could basically skip the line to get the test done. I replaced the part myself, which I'm pretty proud of, came back the next day and then my battery died... what the f@%k?! - NOTE: If your battery dies, the car computer has to reset. Which means you need to drive around for at least 50-miles. I did this, came back, they slide me in, and finally passed smog! The staff here was super patient, helpful, and very understanding to my situation. Beyond registration they also replace key fobs for cars and can cut new car keys as well.
