Stopped by for a smog check, and while the waiting room was a bit packed, I had plenty of time to walk around while they worked on my car. Mike was awesome--gave me a flat fee with no upselling, just straightforward and honest service. The process was quick and easy, and he reassured me that everything passed, so I can get my registration renewed within 24 hours. Arrived a little after it opened on a Weekday. I checked in with my DMV paperwork stating the auto required a smog check. I was given an automatic $20 discount. No coupon needed for that. That's great customer service right away. Smog test took 15 minutes max, while I waited I'm the waiting area. Highly recommend Smog Master Clovis when DMV requires a Smog test on your vehicle. read more

Was recommended by a mate to pay this establishment a visit. Waiting time was a bit long, due to it being Saturday morning and no fault of the business itself. If anything, the large clientele spoke well of it. Once they took my vehicle into the station to run the test it was fully serviced within ten minutes. Found this place on Yelp, reached out for a quote, and in return I got a fast response that was super customer friendly! Took my car in for a smog and the Owner was very professional, kind, and had super fast service! We made small talk, as soon as I gave him my keys he immediately got my car and did what he needed to do. Only cost $48 and ensured me that everything was sent to the DMV so I was all good to go! I explained what the issue was and scheduled an appointment for drop off the following week. Yes, the following week! This place is busy and now I understand why. I dropped my car off on a Tuesday at 8 AM and by the early afternoon they called me and had identified the problem(s). Luckily for me, I just needed a few spark plugs and other items replaced, topped off, and cleaned. I was told my car would be done by EOD the following day Wednesday or possibly Thursday. To my delight a customer had canceled their appointment and I took their place. My car was done and ready to go by 10 am Wednesday! My car is running so much smoother and has way more get up and go. They also suggested a few other items for me to keep an eye on which I thought was helpful. I'll be back for future tune-ups and auto needs!

Advertise Pricing that company show $26750 , tax and fee show $2945.97. Sum up the 2 numbers will come out to $29695.97. He wanted to play words with me like $29695.97 is the net pricing with tax and fee , and wanted to add $2945.97 one more time. I was tired with this guy, no respond and decided to leave. For the whole story, i did not low ball their pricing. Whatever their mother company want to sell , i agree to pay for, but when i come to the dealer. All dramas and traps. Even when the sale team member agree with the OTD pricing. You still have to deal with their sale manager with all bs reasons. ONE MORE THING: THE CAR IN REAL IS NOT SIMILAR TO THE ONE THEY ADVERTISE. THE WHEEL LOOKS DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE ON THE WEBSITE EVEN THOUGH STOCK # IS SIMILAR. I GUESS THEY SWAP FROM OTHER MODEL FOR OTHER CUSTOMER. SO WHOEVER BUY THAT CAR AND DO NOT PAY ATTENTION OR CHECK CAREFULLY, WILL END UP BEING A LOSER. I ASK AND THEY BLAME TO THE THIRD PARTY THAT TOOK PHOTOS OF THE PICTURES.

Five stars for a smog DMV service station... what the helli?…read more My car didn't pass smog initially. Turns out I had tear in my air-intake hose. They showed me the broken part and even did a quick demo, pointing out how to remove the part for fast replacement. They also mentioned this was pretty common in older model Hondas. Since I had already paid; they said get the part replaced, come back, and I could basically skip the line to get the test done. I replaced the part myself, which I'm pretty proud of, came back the next day and then my battery died... what the f@%k?! - NOTE: If your battery dies, the car computer has to reset. Which means you need to drive around for at least 50-miles. I did this, came back, they slide me in, and finally passed smog! The staff here was super patient, helpful, and very understanding to my situation. Beyond registration they also replace key fobs for cars and can cut new car keys as well.

What was thought to be a simple tune up costs me $863 and never addressed the real issue of needing new head gaskets a belt and an alternator that needed to be replaced because of the oil that was pouring out all over it as I drove off the lot and turned right around and came back as my battery light was on and not charging. I had to leave the car in the shop an additional day and pay an additional $1,590.79 and that was with a 10% discount as compensation for having to pay the initial cost of $863 when that wasn't the issue! That's right I payed $2,453.79 for a $1,750 repair that wasn't diagnosed correctly in the first place and the manager didn't even step up and compensate me correctly for THEIR mistake! Shout out to Richard, the cashier, for giving me his employee discount of 10%! As the Manager should be forced to review the reiteration of diagnosing a car first to make sure that the first/major issue is made aware to the customer and how the customer wishes to proceed! If diagnosed correctly in the first place I would have held off on the $863 tune up in order to afford the head gaskets, the belt and a new alternator plus labor costs! I will never give props to Pep Boys again as I have for the better part of 30 years! In case everyone on the planet is unaware, money doesn't grow on trees!

I had no issue with paying a fee for Eric to look at my son's car.. that is customary and expected. What is not acceptable is that he showed up, completely misdiagnosed the issue after a few minutes, collected his fee and left. He said it would take a few days but took no effort to follow up, whatsoever. He blamed my son for not continuing to call him... we fixed the issue ourselves. Meanwhile, this person took umbrage with the negative review and became aggressive with his responses and texts to my son. I'm shocked that yelp allows legitimate negative reviews to be removed... this should be a "mobile battery charger" service and not a mechanic.

Very professional, courteous and above all else friendly group of gentlemen, whom each provided excellent customer service. I believe I was the first customer for this morning. Another car approached and the First technician went to assist that guest. The initial contact he provided was excellent, very thorough and polite. I spent most of my time looking for a coupon on my email that they sent out from oil changers. But the 3 technicians each struck up a friendly customer service oriented conversation. They each started and ended my service very positive and professional. I've been a customer of oil changers for years, and this location which is closer is the reason why I keep coming back. Quick, efficient, and the customer service is excellent. Thank you guys! And keep on. :))

Still the same friendly and fast service!…read more Surprisingly, the price is basically the same since the last time I was here. About $92.00 for the change and fluids topped off. I'm sure prices can vary based on your car. This time around they were way less pushy about upselling me on air filters and fluid flushes. I drive a Subaru, so a lot of the suggestions they offer I can't do at drive through oil change place anyway. I have to do it at the dealership, which is a pain. They come pretty close to the 15-minute oil change guarantee, so even if there's a line it moves fast. Don't forget to clip the 20% coupon on their Yelp page. Save that money!

I went with my mechanic today to interpret a problem between smog master owner and my mechanic. The owner got violent and swung a 3ft screw driver and then threw it at my mechanic. He said , " We don't need your kind here. Go back to where you came from!" My mechanic fled Iraq when Sadam was in power fleeing persecution. The owner is a RACIST against the middle eastern people. Not to mention he attacked my mechanic. Clovis Police came and my mechanic was the better man. He did not press charges. EVERYONE should know the Smog Master people are Racists!
