I had my smog checked 10 months ago. Very quick service and nice mechanic and office staff.

Needed a smog check asap and my usual go to didn't take that state voucher thing anymore where they do it for free. So I asked around and my niece sent me a coupon to this place. Smog check was $39.75 and if it passes they add $8.25 so that would be $48 total. That's the cheapest I could find in the small amount of time I had. Place looked sketchy and next to a gas station that I couldn't even tell if it was open or not lol. It's only one man working there. He takes the calls, handles the payments and what's under the hood. Kudos to him! There was only one person in front of me but he was just finishing up with them. Then it was my turn, I showed him the coupon and honestly he didn't care for it lol. Dude was in motion, barely any small talk. Fine for me cus I wanted to be in and out! He didn't take long at all. Just told me $48 and since I paid with card they charge an extra dollar or in my case, 99 cents lol. Not bad! He literally only took 10 mins or less. There's a beat up couch I sat on but he does have a little heater in the small wait room for us to keep warm. Got my certificate and receipt and went on with my day. He was disrespectful and arrogant. After years of going to this location I decided to visit a location very near me ( shields and palm) and so happy I did. I had my smog test done on a Saturday. There was no other customers so the technician got to my car right away. It honestly was the fastest service for a smog I have had. It took about 15 min. Knocking down a star due to not being able to use the Yelp offer. The Yelp check-in coupon does not state it is mon-Fri only but he informed me that is not valid on Saturdays and only applies to cars not trucks or SUVs. They could have just made a $5-10 off coupon for the Yelp check-in versus all these stipulations. If it wasn't for Yelp, I never would have even known about this place or gave them my business. My 2001 SUV was $68 and It did pass. I'll probably look elsewhere next smog test. read more

I parked my car far from the entrance, I went up to officer to ask how much a re check smog was. There was no one in there. There were no prices on the wall. I went outside, saw a Mexican man working in front of a car. I was just about to ask him how much a re check was when an angry looking man said "can't you wait 20 min. I said what, you didn't tell me I would wait 20 min. That's not my question He started yelling at me so I said "what the fuck is wrong with you?" He was still yelling, sounded like Arab accent. Then when I asked about a re test, he turned around and ignored me. The Mexican man looked at me. And I said, "does he always act like an asshole". So I figured the other man was the boss cause he said nothing I saw that I was getting upset and about the cry so I left. Next day I called to make appt for re check. It was the Arab man again, he said he remembered me and said for me not to come back? I said but "your staff told me to fix the issue and come back for a re check." He hung up the phone. I wouldn't give this idiot 1star. I called this guy and asked if could do. RV smog. He said no problem I can do your RV. So I drove about 30 miles one way. The started asking questions that did not pertain the smog. Then he asked me to start my engine. The only light that was on my dash was (service soon ) you don't have to h be a rocket secensit to know all that light means you need to change your oil. Well he told me that light was check engine that is when you have a code that needs to be fixed. He would not even talk to me and I asked him to see that light comes on for a second when you start your engine. I wouldn't let that guy screw on a light bulb. WOMEN BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!! I went to get my vehicle smogged at this business and 2 people were in front of me when I got there. I am a white older woman. The other two vehicles in front of me were talking to the guy in the garage bay and chatting up like best friends. When it came time for my vehicle, he told me to wait in the waiting room while he did the smog. 5 minutes later he tells me to come look at why it wasn't passing smog and pointed to a slice in the air intake hose. My mechanic later told me it was a deliberate slice and that he would not have known why it didn't pass . Then he told me I needed to pay full price to have it retested after the hose was replaced.. Of course I left never to return! They rip off women!! Jerks .. Karma hopefully will play out! read more

Small shop that can be missed if you don't know what to look for. When I arrived I was the second car in line and was told it should be about 15 minutes. They finished up with the first customer and had me out the door just under 15 minutes. Staff was very informative and helpful on what I can do to ensure passing my next smog test. read more

Be aware that this is not a Pass or Don't Pay station. My battery wasn't charged enough to pass but I still had to pay, despite leaving with no certificate. I give 2 stars only because I was in and out in 30 minutes. I was overcharged and paid what they asked because I was in a hurry. The coupon on Yelp says $31.75 for a smog check on "2000 and newer cars" but he said he could not give me that price because mine wasn't a "car" but an SUV. So don't choose this place because you think the coupon is great- more exclusions apply than are stated on the coupon. There's a different smog place on Blackstone (I should have gone back there!) just north of Gettysburg that honors their discount coupon even if you have an SUV. Go there instead. Another thing that might interest you is their waiting area. No air conditioning and it could use a good cleaning. I wouldn't even sit down.
