We arrived after dark, and the restaurant's floor-to-ceiling windows, dramatic lighting, and massive LED displays create an incredible first impression. As you look further into the dining room, you're greeted by beautiful cherry blossom trees that make the entire space feel elegant, warm, and inviting. And I have to mention the chairs. They are unbelievably comfortable. This is the kind of place where you can settle in and enjoy the evening. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Every interaction, from the hostesses to the food runners to our server, was exceptional. I wish I could remember our waiter's name because his recommendations were absolutely spot on. He even suggested a special way to prepare my espresso martini, and whatever magic he worked, it was fantastic. For drinks, we started with the house margarita, which had a unique flavor profile with a slight tangy kick that reminded me of tamarind. My girlfriend ordered a lychee cocktail that was incredibly refreshing, and both my espresso martini and lemon drop martini were excellent. Now for the food. We started with the Wagyu tartare, pork belly, and roasted bone marrow with toast. The pork belly was one of the best things I ate all night. It practically melted in my mouth and was topped with pickled onions over a silky green sauce that I still can't stop thinking about. Absolutely phenomenal. The Wagyu tartare was equally impressive and easily one of the standout dishes of the evening. The bone marrow was good, but after experiencing the pork belly and tartare, my expectations were sky-high. It wasn't bad by any means. It just didn't quite reach the same level as the other appetizers. For dinner, we shared the Wagyu ribeye along with filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Everything was cooked beautifully, but the Wagyu ribeye completely stole the show. Rich, tender, and packed with flavor, it was one of those dishes that makes you pause after the first bite. We also tried the short rib, which was excellent, but if you're asking me what absolutely cannot be missed, it's the Wagyu tartare, the pork belly, and the Wagyu ribeye. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the music volume. The playlist was fantastic. I genuinely loved the music selection, but it was simply too loud. It made conversation difficult and required us to lean in throughout dinner. Turn the volume down just a little, and this place would be nearly perfect. There's the main things this restaurant does alright: drinks, food, and atmosphere. But something it notably falls in is service and value. The waitstaff is often inaccessible, forgetting things, bringing things to the wrong table, or gives a bad attitude. It's not the worst service in the world. However, they are getting tipped a percentage of the bill that is well overpriced and doing it bad enough to be distracting from the overall experience. When you are talking $100+ tipped on a check you shouldn't have to be constantly trying to get your servers attention, waiting 1hr+ to get your food order in after your drink order, turning away not once but three times food brought to the wrong table, having to cancel drink orders because they don't show up after 20-30mins, and even getting attitude from the other server you had to flag down to cancel that drink order because your server was nowhere to be found the service is bad at this price level. Period. When it comes to value the place is very overpriced for what it is and for the tons of better experiences you can get in the Mecca of dining that is Scottsdale next door. It is clear you are paying a good amount for the atmosphere and decor that is not going into the preparation of the food or the portion sizes. There is a non-zero chance you will come hungry and leave hungry with them taking a larger bite out of your wallet than you got of food. Even with all of that, it's a relatively new restaurant that has a chance to right the ship and make it a better experience. However, at the time of this review it is sitting at 3.8 out of 5 stars with 130 reviews. On top of that, a quick skim of the reviews shows a pattern of complaints with the owner responses being heavily weighted towards positive reviews and not negative ones on Google Reviews. On Yelp they are almost entirely absent of replies. What that tells me is whoever is keeping track of reviews and should be learning from them is quite possibly arrogant and only cares to hear things that inflate their ego rather than learn to make it a better business by reading customer complaints. In summary, I would avoid until the restaurant starts being receptive to feedback and provides a better experience at this price point. read more

Disappointing Experience - Poor Service & Execution I had high hopes for Three Thirty Three, but our experience was nothing short of horrible. From the moment we arrived, the service was disorganized and inattentive. Despite having a reservation, we were seated 25 minutes late. Once at our table, it took an hour and a half from our reservation time to receive our first appetizer. Our server was inattentive and unhelpful, failing to clear plates, refill waters, or even offer drinks in a timely manner. The accuracy of our order was also an issue--our New York strip, ordered medium, arrived raw in the middle. Instead of addressing the issue properly, our server took it back without asking how we wanted it handled and returned it still undercooked. The original cut steak was never rectified, and there was no real attempt to make it right. To top it off, it was a birthday celebration, and despite our $550 bill, the restaurant charged $10 for a birthday dessert--a small gesture that most quality establishments would comp as a courtesy. Our final bill also contained inaccuracies, including drinks we never ordered. While they did remove the dessert charge after we pointed it out, the apology felt hollow with no further attempt to make up for the multiple service failures. Overall, our meal lasted three hours, mostly spent waiting.
