This is an order at the counter, get a table marker (which is a fun super hero figurine), and they bring over the food. I ate my whole breakfast and had gotten a coffee which they had 3 choices of coffee to choose from (dark roast, decaf, light roast). Fun place and friendly staff!

The Huevos Rancheros is delicious, I got it 3 days in a row! They made it with a base of black beans and hash browns on a tortilla and then once the eggs and cheese are on it they broil it to toast the cheese and edges of the tortilla. The eggs were always a perfect over-easy and the chipotle mayo from the "loaded" has browns goes well with the dish. The staff is all super friendly and recognized me as a return customer by my second day there. They have toys they hand out to kids when families come in and the place seems very family friendly. In addition to the inside seating, there's a great patio that has a wonderful view from it. If you're here during the summer, I would definitely recommend sitting outside and enjoying the view and great food!

Terrific service, super happy we made it in for happy hour too! A FABulous maple old fashioned, and everything we ate was so delicious. The food could have been a little warmer but just information, not necessarily a critique. Indoor and outdoor seating. Menus and tables could have been cleaner but this place has a bar vibe so....let it go.

It's worth noting that this is a double smash burger. The poutine side with the burger was well put together, the fries were crispy and well salted. The fried brussel sprouts on the other hand were a little bit of a confusing dish. This dish is surprisingly quite light on brussel sprouts and seems almost more like it's meant to be a salad. In addition, while the sprouts are fried and crispy, the same cannot be said for the bacon. Overall, I'd like to see more Brussels, crispy bacon to better crumble around the sprouts and less arugula. The burnt ends were a pretty good dish but were little tougher than I would normally expect from a pice of meat like that and had a texture more similar to rib caps instead of brisket. They also didn't seem to have been smoked on a smoker and just had a smokey glaze instead. I really liked the vibe of this place, it's a very relaxed environment to come and unwind at after a long day out in the parks. There's a semi-private outdoor patio with plenty of seating and good spacing between the tables. I also really thought that the service here was great, the staff were all amazing and super friendly. Everything I ordered was brought out quickly and my glasses were always refilled without me even having to ask.

I am not sure why this place gets 3.5 stars. It is definitely 4+ all the way!!…read more We called to get reservations for a party of 8 and they were able to get us in. Upon arrival the parking is good. Restaurant is very upscale looking. Has a neat history of the Iron Goat (I will let you read that for yourself). The server came and told us he would be right with us (which means slot to me...vs being ignored). He (can't remember his name..so sorry) was very friendly, very attentive, and helped us with our questions about the menu and also questions we had about visiting Banff in the morning. His recommendations were spot on. We had the cornbread as an appetizer and chicken gyro, game burger, dragon bowl, fish and chips, and French dip. The cornbread was a delicious start. The molasses butter was very mild and added the right touch to the bread. The chicken gyro was made in house and all the flavors married very well together. The French dip was so good, the best I have ever had. Steak was very tender and flavorful and crispy onions were made in house adding a nice touch. Must give Iron Goat a try!

By 7:15 PM, we had to flag someone down to find out who would be serving us. The server that ended up helping us apologized and explained there was confusion among the staff. The manager personally came over, apologized, acknowledged our frustration, and said they would expedite our food. The food itself was good with no complaints. The beef dishes were cooked to our requested temperatures, and the ribs, cheesy noodles, ravioli, tuna steak, and sweet potato salad were all enjoyable. The initial service was frustrating, but we appreciated the manager taking ownership and making a meaningful gesture to make things right. Overall, the food was good and the recovery was acknowledged and appreciated.

We ordered to share: Bison carpaccio: 8/10, the large pieces of black salt(?) was overwhelming the bison, but otherwise very unique and worth trying Burrata salad: 100/10, super refreshing and unique palate of thinly ribboned squash covered with tarragon vinaigrette and burrata. Smoked trout doughnut: 8/10, interesting combination of sweet (donut, lemon glaze) and savory (smoked trout, herbed Crème Fraîche, everything bagel seasoning, pickled shallot) Individually: Strip sirloin: I didn't have this one but 10/10 for work of art presentation. Huge piece of steak though. Roasted chicken: 9/10 myself and one other got the chicken. Tender and well seasoned with sweet and spicy harissa honey glaze and chili crisps. It looked like they gave half a whole chicken to her and the other half to me, huge portions. Probably could've been 3 meals. Peyto's ribs: 9/10 had to get it for the touch of maple paprika. Seared ling cod: 9/10 it's the only portion that remotely made sense for a single person and didn't end with leftovers. The dimly lit atmosphere at Brazen is perfect to unwind in after a long day of hiking and exploring. The portions are generous and flavor profile recommendations between appetizers, mains, and drinks well explored. Highly recommend making an advance reservation to try!
