Three dollar cafe seems to be a staple in Henry County, for some reason. The food is pretty good, but they keep jacking up their prices. The atmosphere is just that of a sports bar, they do have a lot of televisions so catching your favorite team is never an issue there. The biggest problem I have there is the wait times and the service. I've had to wait for a table for a very long time on many occasions just to have to wait even longer (45+ mins) for my food to come out to me. Drinks also take a very long time to come out to you. The wait staff don't seem interested in doing a good job because they seem run down by having to cover such a large area with not a lot of help. read more

My husband and I come to the three dollar cafe every other Tuesday for karaoke night. Great food and I like the friendly staff. I only give the establishment three stars because I am big believer in customer service and right now, I am a bit disappointed in the managers decision on June 16th. Instead of karaoke, the karaoke people had to wait for a basketball game to pretty much end. Hopefully, karaoke will not be interrupted again. If so, I guess we will have to find another location. read more

Great service here. The servers are the best I've had in this area! The food is varied and the prices are very reasonable! You really have to try the "summer menu." I found an excellent Baja Shrimp Coctail. The ingredients are really fresh and tasty! Occasionally they have "Jalapeño Soup," this is a very tasty soup with a mild pepper flavor. I will definitely recommend it! I found out that they have karaoke every Tuesday. I was there for a few of these, and everyone was having a good time. I'm definitely returning for this! We come down to McDonough several times a year to play baseball and we've always made it a point to eat here. The food is always good. The service has always been good. I will say you may have to wait so I'd do call ahead. This last time (5/19/18) we had 25-30 in our group and our waiter Michael was so patient and understanding with all 11 boys plus parents and siblings. Orders were all correct and drinks were never empty. Michael and his support waiters and waitresses did a phenomenal job. Can't wait to come back again. read more

We recently went to this restaurant with a 7 year old travel team so there were about 40 of us. The hostess was not very friendly but once we were seated Mitchell took excellent care of us. He never acted frustrated or overwhelmed by 11 7 year old boys moving around and just being boys. He took a negative experience from the hostess and made it very positive. read more

Honestly the only thing that keeps this place in business is the food and beer selection. If you are looking for superior service you won't find it here. Lemon Pepper wings are the best around. Good fries, great menu. The wait staff has recently been OK. The hostesses need WAY more training on how to treat customers. We came in as a group and chose the dining room to sit and eat. The young girl who took us to our table never said a word. As we were walking into the dining area, someone in our party slipped on the slick floor. The hostess stood there looking at her like she was an idiot. Never asked if she was OK. Never apologized. Nothing! Craziest thing ever! When we got to our table (still the hostess saying nothing), the table was very wobbly and we asked to use the next table away. The hostess literally rolled her eyes as though it was a huge inconvenience. I doubt this girl is still there. Luckily I was with very nice people who didn't complain, but I'm sure someone has since. This little gal needs a serious attitude adjustment. Fortunately, the server was great that night and kind of redeemed the place. Still, I won't be back for a WHILE. While growing up always heard good things about this place, I recently had the opportunity and was quite pleased. The food you can tell is fresh and wholesome. I got the buffalo sliders (sauce is amazing, never had anything like it) with a classic TDC burger. If I want to see how good a place really is, I go simple where the bare minimal is.....and everything about the food rocks! Been a regular here for awhile and love the connections we've made with the serving staff. Apparently there's been a change of management and some of the rules are ruining our experience. Recently there's been a change where people under 21 are no longer allowed to enjoy Karaoke night where they can visibly watch the performers. We were in the middle of a meal, food already on the table, and the hostess tried to have my friend kicked out because she was under 21. Thankfully, our server was awesome and stood up for us. There were no alcoholic beverages on our table, we arrived before eight o clock, and our server would have had to change our table and lose our tip if we had to move. Also, football experience in starting to be ruined by events planned during big games. We go to this location because of the wonderful service provided by Sarah, Darla and Jasmine and even eat at this location 4-5 times a week. But every time we walk in, the hostesses are rude and management doesn't even recognize us! We would like to keep coming back but I'm honestly starting to feel like we aren't welcome there anymore. If this continues, we would feel obligated to take our service elsewhere. I'll say it again, Sarah, Darla and Jasmine are amazing. They remember our orders every time and even though some of them are a little complicated, they never complain or make us feel like we're putting them out. Went here last night. Had some of the best wings I have ever had in my life. They had great flavor, they were large and they were cooked to perfection. The place was packed which is usually a sign of a great restaurant but not always. I had fries with the wings. They are the large steak fries and I loved them. However, another person in our party did not like them. The only thing I had that was bad was the sweet tea (or iced tea for you yankees). It was the worst tea I have ever had. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said "yes, our tea is terrible. We do not brew it here and it is the worst I have ever had too. However, we are about to start brewing our own tea here". I replied "now that is an awesome managerial decision!". She was a great sport about it and she gave us great service. Overall it was a great experience. The service was great! My wings not so much. I ordered 30 wings and planned to eat 15 for lunch and another 15 for dinner. The wings were dry and the sauce was hardly on the wings. I didn't even finish the 15 for lunch and threw them into my togo container. I travel for a living and live out of hotels Monday - Friday. I requested for some sauce to go so that I can liven up my wings after I microwave them (further drying them out). I was informed I can't have extra sauce togo. I didn't ask for a reasoning but one was provided that I might try to copy their recipe. Listen, I make better sauce for wings in my own kitchen and would have done that but again I live in a hotel all week. I've been to TacoMac 3x this week. Their wings are amazing. Saucey, moist, and delicious. I believe the sauce at TDC starts as a solid and melts onto the wings which IMO is the worst type of sauce. Once the sauce melts it doesn't stick to the wings that well. I am a bartender here. I have been working here for 11 years and I still eat our food at least 3 times a week. Our food is so good. The wings are the best but my favorite thing on our menu is the steak and cheese sandwich. I'm still not sure what they marinate the steak in but it has so much flavor. Mmmmmm making my mouth water thinking about it lol. I just downloaded the yelp app and I hate to see that a few people had a bad experience at our establishment. Myself and my cousin whom has eaten at this establishment for over 10yrs since we lived in Mcdonough Georgia and on January 17th it definitely was a bad experience. I ordered a 16oz Margarita and the Waitress brought it back in a small glass. I asked her was that the standard glass she says I told her I didn't want the drink and mind you I had never touched it because the glass was small for the price. She said she couldn't take it away and the manager named Brenden came over saying what's wrong Ladies I explained that I thought their Margaritas come in a bigger glass and if not I would rather not drink it. He proceeds to call me Hun and say well the rule is if I bring Alcohol to the table you have to keep it . I said sir but it's not what I want or expected and I have not touched it he says well you have to pay for it. Real rude . As a manager he didn't say is there anything else I can get you or sorry I will do it this time remove the drink but next time just know our drinks come in small glasses. No he says you have to pay for it and walked off. Not accommodating at all very short in his words not welcoming or warming at all. I never touched the drink paid for it but i will never go back me nor my family and I am and have told all my friends. It was not a good experience at all. So $10 I lost but mind you I won't be back simply because if his approach was better explaining the rules I would have paid with understanding but his short nasty disposition is what made me feel the way I feel and that experience alone made me say I will not go somewhere that you get treated that way ! read more

Really good sports bar food and the menu is varied. If you come on Monday-friday for happy hour which ends at 6pm (not sure when it begins) all appetizers are half off! Wings, fried mushrooms, and cheese sticks are my favorite. Plus they make Thier own hot wing sauce and dressings so worth a try! So I am from Indiana and have read all the previous reviews. I have had my fare share of wings by the way. I eat more food in general than most of the people you know. I drive my family crazy searching for buffets or all-u-can-eats. I can say that the atmosphere at $3 is great! TVs everywhere, and the staff is on point making sure that the game you want to watch is on and visible in your area. Next, I ordered the blue chips and fried pickles to get started. Both were hot, fresh, and above my expectations considering the reviews I read! Next I ordered the wings. I got 10 of the spicy BBQ, and they were hot and saucy. I ordered extra sauce on them because that's the way I like them! They were amazing. Normal size, nothing to crazy, but really good and super tasty! Finally our waitress was friendly and honest about the entire menu. She was on "pint" with the drink menu and all other questions we had. Let me just say that I have worked in the sales / service management role for 15+ years, and I am very critical of everything from decor to personality of the wait staff. I've been too Three Dollar Cafe several times. I travel to Henry County on a weekly basis. Usually the service and food is good. I normally open a tab at the bar. I came in today and the bar was full. I wanted to watch my Redskins beat the Eagles!! I'm a smoker and went to the patio. There wasn't many people out there and Noone was watching several TVs. When the waitress came over I ordered food and a drink and said "what I want more then anything is for the Redskins Game to be on this TV. She acted like it was a big inconvenience and said the manager Sherri gets quite Bitchy about it and won't do it. Instead I'm sitting in the middle of the dining room at a 6 top table by myself.
