Hunter was turning the big 5 and sadly the dog bakery we used to use closed so I took to the Internets to find out the latest and greatest in dog cake cuisine. Enter Three Dog Bakery. I walked in and immediately knew this was the place. It is a smidge on the pricy side, so if you don't value your dog as a legit member of the family this may not be the place for you. I ordered a cake and they even put his name on it! I picked up two extra treats for his fursibling's and a birthday hat to boot! Hunter LOVED his cake and was one happy boy! Any place where I can spend tons of money spoiling my dogs is my kind of place. We stopped in here a few weeks ago to buy our boy, Ramsey, a birthday treat. We left with a slice of birthday cake and a party hat but will be back for so much more! The owners are clearly dog lovers and I love that a lot of the products are healthier choices than you'd find at the local pet store. It's my dog Chip's birthday so I wanted to do something extra special. I found this bakery which is near me and called ahead to check their hours and what was in stock. When I arrived was greeted right away and advised of all the items in the cold case. The attendant told me about the ingredients and how to store my goodies. She even took a picture of my dog and wrapped everything up for us. Good service and very cute items. read more

First time in yesterday and I had a really good experience! I went there for doggie treats and was really surprised of the amount of selection of freshly made as well as raw hides and various other chews. They do sell some boutique things also like collars and leashes which were all very unique and a wall of plush toys. They had some decorating pieces / wall hangings that had sayings on them about dogs and I saw a small isle with some cat stuff. The place was very clean and they also had some really cool pet harnesses on a center display in a variety of colours! They had various higher end kibble to choose from and I was very impressed that they carried Stella and Chewys freeze dried kibble. (Please note that this is the dry kibble that is freeze dried, NOT FROZEN; I didn't see a fridge that the frozen would be stored in however I didn't ask either so maybe they sell it there and I just didn't see it) On to the main course, there are two cases of doggie treats, refrigerated and non refrigerated. The pricing on both are very reasonable and they have much selection. I bought a little bit of everything to include some cookies and cheese cake type treat with strawberries. The treats ramged on price from 2.50 to 3.50 or so each for the single treats which looked more like gourmet human cookies and pasty. The treats are all non MSG and no GMO. The staff told me what was in everything when i asked and they have this cool stuff that is "fake chocolate". It looks like chocolate but is really a ground up Carob seeds that actually tastes very similar to chocolate. (I didnt know what it was either before visiting the store website plus a Google search) The nice lady at the counter was very patient and informative. I told staff it was my first time in the store and they walked me thru everything which i highly appreciate and recommend. I can be shy around ppl i dont know, especially in retail and small stores so please, if you are like me and really want the full scoop then definitely let them know. They treated me great! My things were put in a nice box and placed in a nice paper shopping bag with handles and logo and off i went! Later that evening my two boys (dogs) went ape over the treats. They absolutely loved them and with no hesitation. I will definitely have to go back soon. This time i have a better idea of what to buy and what i can split in half so that i may be able to save a little . I bought one of everything yesterday so my tab got a little expensive but i could definitely make it very manageable in the future now that i have a good idea of the selection and size of treats! A mixed-bag experience at Three Dog Bakery for us. We went in for our little man's second birthday, early on Saturday afternoon. The service 2/5: 4/5 girls were a smidge impolite--with a sprinkle of pretentiousness. "Like ew... just no." This isn't coastal South Carolina. Two stars are being awarded solely upon the effort of a young lady that was rather attentive and sweet to the three of us. Bravo. The bakery/accessories 3/5: They have some great, pet-friendly cakes and treats, however plan on waiting 3-5 hours MINIMUM for your specialty order. We didn't have that type of time, so we elected for a cupcake that read "Birthday Boy" and a cookie. The prices are a bit crazy for some things that I know are, for sure, are cheaper at places like Hollywood Feed. This bakery reminds me of woofpup bakery in austin. It is a nice little story with so many treats, leashes, and accessories for dog owners. When we entered the store, the staff greeted us and our golden. They did the basics, asked if we have been before. The staff itself was very knowledgeable about the products, provided opinions, and recommendations for our Finn. Even better, they did want a picture of him which is pretty nice. Our Finn got a bone, large rawhide which he still is working on at the moment. It was a great 15$ investment, because most of the toys we get are torn up within a few days. In addition, they have alot of dog necessities, and even dog foods. This might be a one stop shop for our pup. Want a new location for dog stuff, you should check it out. read more

This place was AWESOME. I walked in a couple days before an event my company was going to have a booth at (Strut your Mutt). I needed something to attract people to my booth and I thought cute dog cookies would be perfect. The employees were so sweet and so helpful even though I pretty much wiped out their cookie supply . They had all different shapes and sayings like "adopted in Texas" "princess" "good boy" etc. The cookies were extremely popular with all the dogs at the event and the people, of course, thought they were adorable. read more

I came here on my puppy Watson's first birthday! We wanted to celebrate with some sweet treats for his big day. When I walked in-- I was really pleased to see a variety of dog products and food as well as treats! They carry clothes (made a mental note to pick up a Longhorn jersey for my babies), harnesses & leashes, toys and so much more. I went up to the counter, and like a real bakery, there were delicious dog treats inside! I picked up a mini-hamburger treat for Watson and a pup-cake for our other dog Ava so she wouldn't feel left out. This is a schmancy dog-bakery that also sells decent toys and other dog-related stuff. I'm originally from Boston, and we don't have places like this back there! But down here in Texas, it seems to be way more pet-friendly, and because of that, we have places like this. The treats they make here are awesome; they sell a big braided chew-thing - I don't even know what it was but it smelled awesome and my dog loved it. We ordered a cake on Tuesday for Thursday pick up. I got a call on Thursday around 11:30 that they sold out of the cake and I would get something else. Seriously? You couldn't hold one back - so the girl said she would have her manager call me. I then get a call from a very angry Trish - who is co-owner - about why she had to call me and come into the store on her day off. I said well I don't know why you are mad at me when I just preordered a cake and you sold it. She then said she would make it but could not guarantee it would be ready by my pick up time. I said that doesn't work we were taking it to a party. She said fine I will have it done but it will have cracks - again why am I being punished for this??? I understand she was upset she had to come in on her day off but again not my fault and no need to be hateful. i can not believe i have not written about this store already. This is my go to store for anything dog treats, cakes, food related basically. They have a points system , rack up points get a future discount. My pups love all the treats here and not once have they ever thrown up any cupcakes, bones from here. like you will find with store bought treats they contain things that may upset your dogs tummy. not the case here. my daughter even tasted the cake once and said it actually wasnt bad at all. tasted just like peanut butter. I have only had 1 customer service issue and not from the counter girls but from the actual manager. She saw a bandanna on my dogs neck and asked the cashier had she charged us for that. the cashier assured her that they actually didnt carry that in the store and that i came with it ON MY DOGS NECK. The manager actually walked to the section and tried to find the bandanna. Needless to say THEY DONT SELL THOSE THERE. I found that very very rude. But luckily I really dont see her anymore and that's the way i like to keep it. Other ladies are awesome! read more

Sadly, Beasley never got to come to Three Dog Bakery. He did enjoy the treats that I brought home for him. My last two visits here have been after Beasley went to Rainbow Bridge... the first time with my Best Friend when they were in town a few months ago and then to pick up her youngest's Cowboy's Jersey that they special ordered for us in Dixie's size. In my imagination, a dog bakery is more like a 1940's speakeasy. I thought I would get to knock on a door and a peephole would slide open with just a pair of eyes asking me for the secret code. Upon entrance one would find the baked dogs hung like bbq ducks in chinatown. Thus initially I felt disappointed and misled; three dog is not *that kind* of dog bakery at all. Or so they claim. But once over the initial shock, I found the most delightful selection of nomz for my Delilah. The baked goods looked like your grandmas secret thanksgiving cake recipe awesome. Seriously. I couldn't bring myself to buy something that nice for my pup, shes content with eating cat poo as an afternoon snack. IDK, I guess we're not a dessert family. But what I did pick up was random goodness, the crowning achievement being an all kinds of adorable stuffed monkey. I expect her to expose the stuffing within 4 days. Also, a training device with which I will teach her either to fetch beer from a closed fridge, or to pee outside. Also all sorts of baked goodies: venison jerky, dog oreos, peanut butter bizcitz, a grab bag, and a handful of rawhide chews including the hard to find pink variety. I have gone here for the past 7 years especially with the tradition of getting my sweet pup his birthday bone & cake with his name on it. Every time I'm here, the staff have all been so sweet, kind, and super helpful! Today i was shocking disappointed when employees Kaitlyn and Kimberly were rude and unhelpful to me. Complained about writing my dog's name on his birthday bone (even though they have done it for all of his 6 birthdays before). Then both employees were complaining about it to each other loud enough for me to hear. When I confronted them about complaining about my order, they were still argumentative and were not apologetic whatsoever. So disappointing how customer service changed here. They just don't care at all. Manager here should definitely have a chat with them about customer service. read more

I went to get a treat for my dogs birthday and in case you have a small dog if you ask what treats are the softest they will guide you on which bakery display has those. Most of them are like biscuits texture. But the whoopie pie and the tiny donuts are a good option for small breed dogs or toy breeds. My dogs loved the tiny donuts (2 for under $3). Even though the whoopie pie is bigger, it allowed my dogs more time to lick and really savor it. As everything else they guzzle down! Lol. They also have dog bone shaped birthday cakes for $19.99. Those are standard but you can call your order to get one customized. However, for last minute four legged birthday celebrations you are sure to find something here! read more

WOW. What an unbelievably STINGY store. I've been several times. I like their stuff. Although their prepackaged snacks are overpriced compared to online. Today, my dog went to the restroom in front of the store. Obviously, I don't want to leave a mess in front, so I went in asking for a waste bag or any kind of plastic bag. Instead, they told me I could purchase bags. When I asked if I could just have one of their plastic bags, they said I could also purchase. So by trying to do the right thing and not leave a mess in front of the store, they saw it as another opportunity to make money. I'm never returning again. This is a great place. The treats are fantastic... well, my dogs think they are. They are friendly, and kind and like to meet the dogs. I am really glad to have a top quality dog bakery so I can spoil my furkids. I edited to add the dog bones they sell (rawhide flavored dog bones) don't seem to be a good choice. I have a small cocker spaniel and I found a shard equivalent to a piece of sharp, pointed wood that came off the bone during chewing. Had I not seen it, it could be have been fatal if she'd swallowed it. It was sharp as a knife tip and rock hard. I would still buy the treats but won't be able to buy the bones anymore. read more

Somehow, the dogs knew that we were at a pup bakery before I could even register that we had even parked. There must have been the scent of freshly baked pupcakes in the air, because we were dragged across the parking lot and into the store by the dogs! The staff is friendly, the store is clean, and there is a large variety of treats to choose from.
