It hurt worse than any Brazilian wax I have had. Obviously, that depends on pain tolerance. The girl who waxed me was not the owner (probably mid 20s). She told me to do all the normal positions and it seemed like she was doing a good job. I specifically asked if she got a spot (it occasionally gets missed) and before I even finished asking she interrupted and said yes. When I was done, and my knees were still open on the table (exposing me to the lobby), she opened the door yelled "done!" At me and left the room. There was still sugar stuck to me. When I got home I decided to check out the work. She missed MANY spots including the spot I asked about. Very unprofessional and rude. Will not be returning.

Ladies are super sweet and mastered the art of threading eyebrows without holding the thread in their mouths like the previous technique! They have holders hanging from their neck! They have policies put in place (see attached pic) and they are very diligent in sanitizing the place! They have you fill out a questionnaire before you get there and take your temperature when you arrive! Whooo hoo! I was so anxious about how this would go but I definitely needed my eyebrows done after 3 months of quarantine lol!

I've always paid to get them wax/threaded/tweezed. It's always been a struggle finding someone who can handle my full eyebrows without leaving me bald or giving me a weird shape. About five years ago I found someone local who was able to work with my full brows. She had a one-style-fits-all approach for brows that happened to work for my brows. But then I started noticing that depending on her mood, she would take too much hair off or overarch my eyebrows. Then our schedules were hard for me to schedule appointments. So eight months ago I was on the search for another brow artist. I found one through Yelp in NYC close to my job and stuck with her for 5 months hoping that she would be able to one day get the shape right. After 5 months of money down the drain, I searched for another local brow artist on Yelp and found Cynthia. I was praying to the brow gods to help me out. After months of inconsistent eyebrows and not feeling my best (I already mentioned I'm an eyebrow feign), in one session I felt like a brand new woman. I'm so happy I found Cynthia and a bonus is she's super close to my house. I've never written a review for either of my past two eyebrow ladies because I felt that although I liked my brows, something wasn't right about them. They were either too arched or too thin. I am beyond pleased with the outcome and she is worth every single penny. I've only been twice (one was a touchup) but I felt like I had to write a review. I'm totally coming back.

I knew that my lashes wouldn't be glamorous but I also didn't think that after the service the results would look as if I had slept on them. I had looked at other photos prior to booking and the results looked great for a lift. I understand my lashes aren't as long as the photographed ladies but at very least I expected to walk out of there hinting that I had something done. Only a couple of my lashes curled and the others kinda look the same. I'm hoping after 24hrs when I use mascara they'll be better but I'm also concerned that the few that actually lifted will drop and this will be the worst $100 spent. I did have great interactions with everyone in this place otherwise.

Making an appointment online was easy and they sent a call & text reminder the day before. Since I'm still new to the whole lash world, my lash technician, Joy, walked me through the curl shapes and lengths. Since I was going for a fuller but natural look, I went with her recommendations. Overall, they came out really well! It took a little less than 90 mins as expected but this is definitely longer than my first experience (at a different lash salon). I realize I also tried to redeem the free collagen lip mask (Yelp check-in offer) but they never gave it to me (I think they forgot). They did give me some post-lash care freebies (lash brushes and cleanser) to use after. You can probably find a place that does a similar job for cheaper, but overall I'm really happy with my lashes & Joy's customer service!
