I randomly found this spot on Yelp and saw they had good reviews. I'm usually very particular with my brows but going to my usually brow lady in NYC was just getting a bit much. So I decided to give this place a shot and I'm glad I did. I stopped by on a Thursday at 11 and there were a few clients at that time. I told her I just wanted to clean up and reshape a bit. The whole process was so quick - it took less than 5 minutes, which had me worried. But they came out great - maybe even better than my usual brow lady. Haven't been to get threading on my brows since pandemic. Yes that long. I would always go in the city during lunch hour but I'm so glad I found a new place that I'll be coming back to. The staff is so friendly ... almost like family, you could tell who are the regulars as the staff would catch-up with them during their threading sessions. Updated review : After nine months of waiting to give this place another chance, I finally went today. I received exceptional service that was quick and did not experience any cuts or bruises. I will return :) ---------------------- I was so excited to try threading for the first time today and was hopeful after reading so many outstanding reviews on yelp. I wish I had the name of the woman who threaded by brows today. I told her several times it was my first time and she never acknowledged it. It wasn't painful and she was quick. She gave me a mirror to look and I commented on three pieces of hair that were out of place. She somehow interpreted that as "I want more hair removed and my arch higher". I should have stopped her when she started working on the wrong part of my brow. On this round, I kept feeling pain. I walked away with uneven brows, a woman who talked over me every time I talked, and FIVE knicks into my skin. I had blood appear under both brows. There's a total of five cuts, and one that's long thin cut. It's been ten hours since I had the service and my brow area is highly sensitive and tingling. I'm hoping I don't have an infection. I don't have sensitive skin either. I've waxed and tweezed my eyebrows for over ten years with no issues. Highly disappointed. read more

I have a lot of hair loss that began about two years ago when I was suffering horribly from my anxiety constantly. The loss itself has stopped for about a year, and my hair has grown back plenty since then, but it's still pretty thin. I found Nitu's Threading Salon on an Insta video and saw they offered scalp/hair oiling, and since I'm picking back up on oiling on my hair wash days, I really wanted to check them out. And I am SO happy I did! My friend and I went for the regrowth oiling and she got her eyebrows threaded. I feel terrible because we didn't know to make an appointment, but despite this they were still so welcoming and kind and took us. Sweetie did my oiling and she was fantastic! She was so kind and considerate of my comfort as she steamed and massaged and worked on my scalp. I was so relaxed, it felt amazing. She was firm enough to be effective, but gentle enough that I didn't have any discomfort and my sensitive hair (I have very fine curly/wavy hair) didn't suffer. She let me know to leave it in overnight and wash out the next day so I can get the full benefits, and sent me off with a smile and a hug. This is the most homey salon I've ever been to, I love it. I left the oil in overnight (the oil smells amazing, by the way). As it was in my hair, I kept getting whiffs of it and it smelled so nice. I washed it out the next day and it was very easy to wash out (I did a double cleanse with gentle shampoo, an in-shower hair mask, and regular condition). My hair was so soft. I've been having some scalp flakiness lately, but that's 100% gone now! And my roots have much more volume than usual and I know it's too soon to see new hair growth, but the hair honestly does look fuller on my scalp, like you can barely see my scalp currently which you usually can easily. They're a bit further from my house so I can't go as frequently as I'd like to, but absolutely I'll be going at LEAST once a month for an oiling with Sweetie, and I'd love to try having my brows threaded and tinted with them next time. AMAZING HAIR OILING RESULTS! I've tried hair oiling at home and I always give up after a month without seeing results. I've been coming to Nitu's once a week for about three months and I've noticed a huge difference in my hair texture and thickness. I have been getting my eyebrows done here for some time now. I have never left there less than 100% satisfied. They are friendly, respectful and professional. - In addition to eyebrow threading, i started getting their Migraine head massages. For someone that suffers from chronic migraines and overall daily headaches, i was skeptical. But Swatu made me a believer! Today was my second treatment about 4 weeks after my first and the second of many more to come. The evening of my treatment i had a massive headache and i thought this isn't going to work. I followed the instructions she gave me "Relax when you get home and leave the oils in your hair for 24 hours" Still i had a headache. HOWEVER- after that initial headache that day I DID NOT HAVE A HEADACHE FOR 4 WEEKS!!! this is unheard of for me. I typically start my days with some sort of headache and end my days with one as well. so, for me to NOT HAVE ONE for 4 weeks made me feel like I was flying on cloud 9! i STONGLY recommend Nitu threading for all your eyebrow needs and ESPESCIALLY FOR THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM HEADACHES! Nutus always does an excellent job. In addition to getting my eyebrows threaded, I also got an eyelash lift and tint. What a HUGE difference. I have very long, but straight lashes. My sister and I visited this place for the first time to do a dry scalp treatment. They were very nice and accommodated a private room since we wear hijabs. They constantly made sure I was comfortable. They took the time to explain what they were doing at each step of my dry scalp hair oil treatment. It's also important to note the quality of the oils they use which are natural oils used in Indian culture hair care.
