Hi! So there is a new owner, but I have been going to her for years now following her in different locations. She is the best! She makes sure to never makes my eyebrows to thin and always tells me what is best for me. I am very very particular about my eyebrows, but once I step into the chair I let her perform her magic. I go once every two weeks, bc of my thick hair, but it seems painless throughout the entire process, which makes it easier for me. You know you can never go wrong with Binal, who will take the time and effort to make sure you look good at the end of it! Mina has always been my favorite, but the other girls do a decent job (waxing half my leg) most of the time! I always tell them "Mina does it like this, and this and this" and they're so good about "complying" to my statements. So, for that, thank you! Don't get to go too often because I live in LA now, but when I'm in OC they ALWAYS take me, even last minute. Definitely get your money's worth and more, for great service. I've been going here for 2 years now and every time I came in this year I left very unsatisfied. I came in a week ago to get my eyebrows done and I have Asian eyebrows so one little mistake will make it look like I have no eyebrows. I came in because I was overdue on getting my eyebrows done and let me just add in that they actually looked really thick. I know eyebrows are supposed to be "sisters" & not "twins". But I don't know what she did to my eyebrows. They are no where near sisters and they are both going in completely different directions.... My cousin has been suggesting this place for the longest time! My crazy eyebrows really needed some care and attention - same with my upper lip. So I finally came in for the first time yesterday and now I'm obsessed with my eyebrows! I didn't think they can have a shape, but they do! My cousin heavily recommended Mina do my eyebrows. So, on the sign in sheet, I wrote what services I wanted done (eyebrows & upper lip) and that I wanted it done by Mina. She did SUCH a great job! I thought threading was going to hurt ( a lot) from my friends but Mina has the magic touch. It didn't hurt a bit! I was also told that red bumps appear after threading is done but it's the next day and no red bumps! I very much recommend this place. Mina took her time and made me feel very comfortable. 5 stars! It is hard to find a threading place that does an excellent job outside of the ones I've been to in Artesia. Sadly, I can't always drive all the way out there and sometimes my favorite people leave. The ladies are nice, however, it can be a little rough. I've been threading for over 10 years and have seen some pretty bad places. I have left with some redness and skin irritation after going here, but this isn't the worst place I've tried. They do ask about whether you've plucked (a no no), if you use castor oil to grow out your eyebrows (recommended), and they do clean them up (a bit thinner than I'd want). Overall, I'll keep it in my roster, but it likely won't be first choice. Also, if you like the incentive programs threading places have, this place is pretty awesome because it's all electronic. read more

I've been a fan of this place for a while now. Mina always does an amazing job on my brows. However, today I was incredibly disappointed with the result. I don't know the name of the lady that did my eyebrows today, but she did a HORRIBLE job. I didn't want to say anything because my boyfriend was there and it looked like she was new or something...She did a wacked up job. My eyebrows were ridiculously uneven and she was very rude while she was doing my brows, wacking my hands out of the way when I positioned it wrong...I will be coming back because I love the other workers here, but this girl...needless to say, I'm very disappointed. read more

I absolutely love thread a brow! I have been coming here for a little over two years, and will always continue coming here. Mina is an amazing business owner and everyone who works here truly cares about their clients. Facial services: So far, I have had an acne facial from Bijal. She is extremely thorough in extraction and my skin felt very refreshed and clean afterwards. She made sure to not to irritate the skin, and as my skin is very sensitive as well as acne prone and she did an amazing job!! I will not trust anyone else with facials from now on. I have had very bad facial experiences in the past and Bijal is amazing. Waxing services: Thread a brow also does waxing services (but not facial waxing) and they do a very thorough job in this as well!! Bikini line, and legs, I have yet to try every waxing service offered but Mina and Bijal both do a great job. Threading services: I always get my eyebrows threaded from here. I started going to Mina a couple years ago when another eyebrow place butchered my eyebrows (based on the great reviews) and Mina fixed my eyebrows! What: Eyebrow threading Takes: I'm really particular where I go to get the eyebrows done, especially since my favorite threading place is in Berkeley. Thread a brow is a solid second and my top choice in SoCal. An otherwise five star business: Pros: 1. Precision. Mina is very detailed and never fails to make sure your brow shape fits to your liking. I love that she goes for the more natural brow look-meaning natural brow arch and clean up. 2. Mini massage: it's great to relieve any tension you may have near your brows! The pressure on those spots feels amazing! 3. Toner at the end to close your pores! 4. Friendly service. Especially if you are a regular, she'll ask you about life. 5. Affordable: $8 for brows. Cash or card accepted. Cons: I usually don't have this issue with other threading places, but I always get a cut near my brow after a threading session here. I've already had several visits here, and it wasn't a one time occurrence. It's never a super deep one that involves scarring, but simply inconvenient, especially when it starts to sting with the application of the toner. Parking: street parking unless you score the limited spots right next to the threading place or park in the shared parking lot and hike up the hill. Bottom line: Go here for your threading fix! This coming Monday is my little sister's first day of high school, so I decided to take her to get threaded for her first time so she'd look a bit more polished :) I called the day before to ask if she takes appointments and if I could come in at 11am, as I had a chiropractor appointment to go to at 12. She said yes, and thanked me for calling. Very sweet. It's located where the Ricca Donna salon used to be.. the landowner seems to have split it into like 5 different units, and Thread A Brow is located in the front side facing St. College. I walked in (the door gets a little stuck, so pull hard!) and was greeted by the owner, Mina. She was so nice and helpful. My sister went first and got her eyebrows shaped and upper lip fuzz removed, then it was my turn. Mina was very meticulous and even let me take a break when the pain was too much (I don't have a very high pain threshold :/ ). The last time I went to someone to do my brows was 3 years ago, the day before my birthday.. and that lady basically butchered my brows .____. I have a history of using and abusing my brows starting from 7th grade, but have been trying be nicer to them for the last few years, lol. Mina gave me some advice about my shape and told me to let me grow in some hairs for a fuller more natural look. Also she recommended buying pure castor oil and applying it on my brows every night. It'll help them grow stronger and thicker, she said. I just ordered a bottle on Amazon, and can't wait to go back to see how she can help my brows next time! The total was $20 ($10/ea, not incl tip) for both of us to do our eyebrows and upper lip. I'm definitely going to make it a monthly trip down to Brea with my little sis for maintenance :) read more

Went again and she missed so many spots. I had to go home and clean up my brows so much. I shouldn't have to do that. Also, my hair grew back within a few days which tells me she really didn't get down really far as I should be able to go at least a week. 3 stars is for getting the shape right, and that is generous. Mina is really nice but I guess I just really expect my eyebrows to be perfect when I get them done, as that is the whole point of a brow salon. I will most likely not go back here unless I am really desperate. I have to say, brow salons are MUCH better in Los Angeles, specifically the Westside. read more

Okay, so I'm finally ready to write my review. I've been coming to Mina for almost a year when it was only her. &now bc she does such amazing work there's 2 other girls working here. I used to go to another eyebrow threading location by dt Fullerton but my girl Gita left abruptly & it was never the same after. I found Thread a Brow in Yelp...came in hesitant but Mina was so sweet & welcoming that I felt at ease. The best part is that aside from doing a great job every single time is that she's gentle & takes her time. No matter the amount of women (or men) waiting she TAKES HER TIME & gives you her full attention. I've had one of the other girls do my eyebrows too & she's also very sweet & efficient. The newest girl I do not know so much about & have never had my brows done by her - however, I don't believe Mina would hire anyone who she didn't filly trust. I just want to say that I'm very disappointed in this place.. I've been here 3 times already, and my eyebrows come out perfect. But sometimes they bleed as well. I went the other day and my eyebrows were on fire. The next morning, I have two long cuts under my eyebrow!! And another cut on the other side. The lady who did mine was absolutely nice and all. Thread a Brow is THE best threading salon I have been to! Bijal has literally "fixed" my eyebrows - she really cares about how you want your eyebrows to look and she creates exactly that! I don't trust just anyone with my eyebrows, having quite a few bad experiences my friend insisted I go to thread a brow. Always loving her brows I decided to get over my trust issue and try thread a brow! My first time seeing Bijal she recommended I buy castor to apply to areas with sparse amounts of hair since I wanted a sharper, more angled arch. As my eyebrows filled in, Bijal made my brows look flawless every time; my eyebrows are now what I consider perfection! I came to this place because of the reviews. The lady that did my eyebrows seemed nice. I'm not particular on how my eyebrows are threaded or how they look I just want it to look clean. I noticed that I have a few small cuts over my left eyebrow (5 to be exact) and she threaded my left upper lip with string that had saliva because it was wet and some saliva even stayed on my skin. I recently discovered this place after I was in dire need of a cleanse. Since I visit my parents living in San Gabriel area pretty frequently and I drive over from OC, I'm always passing by the Brea area. Thread a Brow is tiny and located on the first floor of a two story building right off of State College. It's really close to the Brea Mall and although I was able to find parking right next to the building, you may have to opt for street parking if it's full. It was fast, great service, and the girl that did my brows was awesome. Prices are also SUPER reasonable and a lot cheaper than other OC prices so I'll definitely be back. read more

I am SOOOOO chicken to try new places - but needed my eyebrow threaded and my "regular" person was not in for two days....OMG you know how it is - TWO days -may as well have been next Christmas! Well again, I wanted it done right now - you know, on my way to a dinner party and I have to look good and have great eyebrows! Anyway, there I was stuck on the freeway, desperate, and Siri "Yelp"ed eyebrow threading (current location) = Low and behold =Thread-A-Brow came up #1(woot-woot) - so sure enough, I set Thread-a-brow as my new destination! Upon arrival...everything looked pretty basic(not fancy) - two women working, two women getting "threaded" and two waiting (I am next up at this point). Panicking/praying that my eyebrows will look good, I observe, the two women in the chairs seem relaxed and their eyebrows are looking great! I am up! I settle in to the chair, explain how I like my brows and (drum roll).....My lady was AWESOME, FAST and TALENTED. The list could go on; but YAY thanks for your great PAINLESS experience. BTW- (so you know not crazy just traumatized) - a while back, I went to a salon to have my hair and eyebrows "done" - I like my eyebrows full - I explained this to the eyebrow lady, as I do everything single time....She confirmed YEP I understand. So, when the lady said, "Yay! All done" and she handed me the handheld mirror - I almost DIED - my eyebrows were clearly decedents of HILTLER - (2) full/small little dashes of hair above my eyes were all that were left of my full eyebrows.
