AAA sent me here after my car died. I was told that I would receive 10 percent off my work done up to 50 dollars, and my car would have priority service and be looked at within an hour of arrival. I did have to call myself twice after failing to receive updates on my car. It ended up having to stay the night. I was assured it was being looked at and that they were making sure it was only the alternator that was giving me trouble. There was a slight lack of communication that originally soured my experience, but after hearing this, the owner (Nate) gave me a call and cleared up some miscommunication that occured. I appreciate him reaching out to me. These are good people doing good work. I ended up paying more than I expected, but quality parts and service have me content that my car was taken care of right. I tried to use the yelp check in offer, but you cannot combine discounts. I would just advise to ask questions and follow up on your service to smooth out the process. read more

Orr Automotive is the best auto shop around. I have searched for good mechanics and finding them was a miracle. They recently fixed my husbands car and the Honda Civic needed lots of work. It needed a tune up, oil change, brake oil change, radiator flush, new tires and alignment and they were able to do all this work in one day , as long as you bring the car to the shop at 8:00 a.m. to give them plenty of time to fix it they work miracles unless the car needs more work than what you thought , you might have to leave the car there but they are good. They were able to find the electrical problems in my PT Loser (cruiser). I ended up getting rid of that car and getting a much better car. Its not due for service yet it will be soon and I will be there at 8 :00 a.m. so the mechanics have plenty of time to work on it. Don't go other shops, Orr Automotive will always take care of your car don't make the same mistake I did the first time and go to other shops for example Connie and Dicks Autoshop. They are no good they didn't do anything for my PT CRUISER and I still had a bill to pay no good at all. Go to Orr Automotive they will actually do the work to find the problem with your car, they found mine on the Pt Cruiser and I was so happy they did. Went here for the first time yesterday.. Called the shop asking for a quote for an oil change and tire rotation. John answered, gave me a good price, and was nice enough to squeeze me in within a half hour. Was out of there quick and everyone was super nice. I had great experiences here back when it was under the old management. Since then, things haven't been as good. My last time there they messed up something on my car, and at first they weren't going to fix it. Eventually the manager did figure out that they'd caused the problem and they fixed it on the house, but it was basically the nightmare scenario when you go to a mechanic: they return your car with something broken, won't admit it's their fault, and you worry that you're going to have to shell out more money. I'm glad they came around, but it took a few days of pressing them before they looked into the issue and realized they'd caused the problem, and I wish it had happened without me having to really push them. read more

Highly recommend going to Chris & John at Orr Automotive. We went there for a pre-purchase inspection and they provided exceptional service, were very friendly and answered all our questions. The inspection took less than an hour and they were very honest with us afterwards. They were thorough with the inspection and we felt we were in safe hands. I was quoted close to $1,000 for an air conditioner repair which I thought was too expensive. So I went to another mechanic shop and paid $150 for the repair. Apparently the car only needed one part to be replaced instead of the several parts I was told at Orr Automotive. read more

I've been to Orr three times now. I don't know much about cars but my Aunt and her sister and my other Aunt have all gone to Orr for like 10 years so I took my 15 year old car there. They were honest, only fixed the stuff that needed to be fixed and got the work done on time. I really like that they will apply the diagnosis fee toward any repairs you make. The manager took time to answer all my questions and the mechanics seemed friendly and informed. They have Wi-Fi, phone chargers, and fully stocked K-Cup coffee. I recommend this place to anyone and I truly think you will be glad you went to Orr. read more

I would like to retract what I had said in a previous review I had written. I was not happy that my main rear seal leaked on my newly re-manufactured engine after only nine months and 13,000 miles. Originally told it was out of waranty by the person answering the phone. When Nate found out he called me and wanted to know what he could do to make me happy and resolve the situation. He said he would stand behind his work. It ended up it was the valve cover not the rear main seal, but he fixed the problem at no charge to me. That speaks volumns. read more

I discovered Jim Orr Automotive over 15 years ago and like them so well that I bought 100 mile towing with AAA when we moved to Lake Arrowhead so I could always get my cars to Jim whenever they needed repair. Skilled, honest, reasonable, knowledgeable and fair. If he sounds like a boy scout, well he is an Eagle Scout advisor and he lives that creed. I trust him totally with my cars AND he always has a smile on his face when he greets you to boot. read more

The reason for a five star is beside I used to go to Orr when i bought my first car 12 years ago and I just stopped coming simply I didn't love close. Well I bought a 2005 Nissan Altima and they are notorious for timing chain issues but that car had so many problems but the Nate and John went above and beyond themselves to fix my car when it sounded terrible. They were very honest from the get to even when I flipped on how much stuff was wrong with the car and no they didn't take me to the bank. They showed me everything that is wrong with it and even explained what happens. Long story short, I got all genuine Nissan parts and the best was the shuttle service which took me from there home and from there to work and both times each driver was a pleasure to speak with. I will never go to another mechanic as long as I live in inland empire or California. If you hate waiting for service, that isn't a bad thing. They have netflicks on all day and free wifi. If there was a sixth star I would give Jim Orr that too. He has saved me so much money over the years. One time I was having trouble with my Honda Accord engine and had a quote from someone else for $3000. I took it to him and he said he didn't do that kind of work, but talked to his engine guy and they told him that there was a recall on the engine and to take it to the dealer. Saved me $3000. Then another time I had a tail light not working. Dealer wanted $300 for the module. He spliced the wire for less than $60 and got it working for at least three more years until I sold the car. His labor is always less than others. Its not his fault my cars need maintenance, but the advice and recommendations he gives on what to do are the best. You can believe him. Honesty and great attitude. He is not after your money. He just seems to like working on cars and you pay him to do what he loves. read more
