FM Pool Construction - Simple and classy

If you are looking for a pool builder that combines master-level craftsmanship with honest and…read morereasonable pricing, then FM Pool Construction is the way to go. I've dealt with many contractors over the years, and I can honestly say this was the most hassle-free and rewarding contracted project I've ever managed. After 22 years my pool needed to be replastered and all the equipment replaced. From the start it was clear FM paid close attention to every detail and made sure I was well informed and had all my questions answered before making final decisions. At every step and stage of the restoration I was given the pros and cons and advice when I needed it. It was reassuring to have a discussion on previous and emerging trends in styles, colors, and equipment. It helps that FM has been around for a long time. They know what has and has not worked. From the precision of the tile alignment to the beauty of the stone and glass pebbled surface, every part of our pool displays quality and craftsmanship. FM provided a fair, competitive price that didn't sacrifice quality. I know there are higher end ways to go but I now feel like I have a "luxury" pool for an incredible price. There were no hidden fees or surprises mid-build. The crew showed up when they said they would, kept the site as clean as possible, and kept me updated through every phase. It's rare to find a company that actually delivers on its promises, but I feel FM exceeded what they said they would do. If you want the job done right the first time without breaking the bank, give them a call. You won't regret it!

He said we were second in line and he'd have it to us no later than Thursday. Unfortunately, nothing came through. At this point, we decided to pass, as the lack communication was disappointing.

All their service technicians are very responsive and reliable. Geo did the first assessment. He answered all my questions and did a good job in the first pool cleaning. My regular technician is Erik, he also answered my questions and concerns. He is doing a great job in maintaining our pool. I would highly recommend their services. The monthly cost is reasonable.

Poolgenx has staffing issues, accounting issues n lacks in customer service. Their management team does not have the time to address issues or return a response to text messages. I have a very large pool that if not cleaned or treated properly will develop yellow algae. Because of Poolgenx staff issues their techs do not pay attention as they are brushing the walls of the pool to add additional chemicals if there is algae. Their rotation of personnel n lack of clients key control, have created a lot of issues. A recent tech never returned the key to my gate. It has taken PoolGenx over a month to provide a lock box for their lack of control. Currently my pool service is in limbo because the current tech does not know who will be assigned to my pool. As to accounting issues, I've had PoolGenx tell me that I was past due on my account about four times. They are set up on auto pay but even then PoolGenx argued that they never received payment. Thank goodness for B of A because they quickly called PoolGenx to confirm payment had been received n they had deposited the check. Finally, when hiring a pool service I have to make sure their staff are good with dogs. I have 2 Boston Terriers n they are very friendly n loving. One pool service company tech used the pool pole that is used to brush the pool to hit one my dogs. I have cameras throughout my property so I can monitor everything, so when I saw that I immediately fired the company. The cameras also confirm how much time techs spent cleaning my pool and how much chemicals are used. It's a shame you cannot trust some service companies to provide the service you are paying for.

I bought my home in the summer of 2024 and during the inspection was told, very matter‑of‑factly,…read morethat I had maybe one--possibly two--good summers left before the pool would need resurfacing. Spoiler alert: that prediction was spot‑on. The black algae that had been lurking in the decades‑old plaster started popping through like an uninvited guest who really doesn't take a hint, no matter how hard I tried to fight it. After a summer packed with great pool parties (worth it), I decided winter was the perfect time to handle the pool glow‑up. So I did the responsible homeowner thing: I got quotes. Five companies later, I had prices ranging from $8,500 to $20,000 and a surprising number of "optional upgrades." One vendor even offered to put a turquoise tortoise--yes, an actual mosaic tortoise--at the bottom of my pool for an extra $3-4K. Did I want it? Absolutely not. Do I adore the phrase "turquoise tortoise"? Absolutely yes. In the end, I chose Waterscape, mostly because the pricing made sense, and the communication was quick and easy via text. My only real goal was simple: resurface the pool, update the tile, and keep the whole thing under $10K. Mission accomplished. They sent over a DocuSign, gave me a one‑week December timeline, and the whole thing ran like a well‑oiled (and extremely punctual) machine: Monday, 9am-12pm: Full demolition of the old plaster Wednesday, 9am-1pm: Tile installation Saturday, 9am-12pm: New plaster poured And just like that: Brand‑new pool! After that, I stuck to the four‑week maintenance plan--daily brushing, treating the water, and absolutely zero heating of the pool or spa. Now that the curing period is done, the hot tub is officially back in action. Overall? Five stars. Smooth process, clear communication, no turquoise tortoises forced upon me, and a pool that's finally as ready for summer 2025 as I am.

I've contemplated for many years about putting a pool in our home but always talked myself out of…read moreit because of the cost, long build process, tedious inspection process, etc. My wife finally convinced me to interview some pool companies and get a couple of estimates. Zuniga pools was referred to us by our realtor and we gave them a call. The reason we ultimately decided to use Zuniga was because their price was reasonable, their build plan was extremely easy to visualize, and they're a one-stop shop with no sub-contractors. They even have an in-house engineer that made the planning and initial approval process go beyond smooth. Other than some common upgrade recommendations that ended up being really great ideas and I'm glad we upgraded, there was never a time where I felt we were being up-charged or pressured for something. We knew the entire price before we signed the contract and there were no surprises on costs. From the first meeting with Rick, Sara's timely updates, and Jr's hand holding throughout the entire process, we passed final inspection today with no issues. Every step of the way was seamless, timely, and professional. I can't say there were any surprises and ultimately was completed ahead of schedule. They were extremely accommodating, patient, and easily accessible during the entire process. If I ever have to install another pool, there's no question that I would use them again in a heartbeat.
