Stopped by the 78 Pub and This Guy's Pizza For a free pizza promotion they offered to members of a pizza club I belong to. Got to meet Keith in person finally! I brought some of my roommates and we ordered a selection of pizzas. I had been here a few weeks ago with my Lord of the Wings coupon so I already knew I was in for a good meal. It was the first time for my group so I was excited to introduce them. We got an order of the pretzel sticks to start and they were great. I was busy yapping with Keith at the bar when they arrived so no picture of that lol Our pizzas arrived and we dove in. We got the Italian Sausage Margarita, All About That Pig and a black olive pineapple pizza. My group mates really liked the pizza. The pig pizza had an awesome Carolina Gold BBQ sauce on it (my favorite style), the sausage went fantastic on a margarita, new flavor combo unlocked! And the roommate that got the black olive pineapple pizza inhaled it and said that This Guy's Pizza is Two Thumbs Up all the way for her. I really love the texture of their crust, it's a delicate kind of crispy and yields to a pleasant softness. Given that we live about 12 minutes up Route 6 from them, I know it's only a matter of time before we're back there again! read more

Came here as a part of the RI Food Fights burger competition. The burger was standard, but nothing to write home about. It was cooked well, and the bun was enjoyable. The fries were decent and the serving size was good. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was very friendly. Food came fast. Their pizza menu seemed to have some interesting and unique options, so I'm glad to learn that this place existed! Just not going to become my go-to burger spot. read more

First time at The 79 Pub/This Guy's Pizza. I came because I had the Lord of the Wings passes for the month of January. Really impressed by the menu a lot of types of pizza, a lot of really unique options. They have two beers that are specifically brewed for the restaurant one from the Dublin Brothers and the other from goose Island in Chicago. I tried both and it really enjoyed each beer, they were everything in IPA and a pills that should be. I didn't have the pizza, which I know is crazy, but I ordered the creamy pasta wings in the spinach pie tacos because that sounds absolutely unhinged and it sure was in the best way. The wings were really good. And I am really picky on wings. They were hot, crispy, and super flavorful. I will definitely be back for the chicken wings specifically. My other favorite thing besides the wings was the off the menu PB&J margarita. The service was also excellent. Super attentive waitress and friendly bartender. The establishment is fairly large with a big bar. There are arcade games in the back. Everything was clean and they have a parking lot. I really enjoyed my visit to the 78 Pub/This Guy's Pizza and I'm excited to come back to try more menu items. read more

Walked up to the large pub space and was immediately struck by how loud it was. Like you could her the music outside loud. It turned out to be Karaoke night and the volume of the music went down when people were singing. Service was friendly and our drink orders were filled quickly. We both ordered chicken sandwiches, and they were good, but nothing to make a special trip for. The pizza menu is very extendive with lots of topping choices so I'd like to go back to try it. read more

Return visit to This Guy's Pizza & it did not disappoint! We ordered an extra-large half & half pizza - The Rayven on one side (minus the drizzle) & Meat Loaded on the other. Both were delicious! Perfectly cooked crust, generous toppings & great flavor across the board. Every slice was hot & fresh - exactly what you want from a great neighborhood pizza spot! We also ordered the steak sandwich with mushrooms & onions. The steak was tender, the mushrooms & onions were cooked just right, melty cheese held everything together. The atmosphere really added to the experience. There was a soccer game on the TVs, with a fun, energetic group of fans on the other side of the restaurant that made it feel lively & welcoming without being overwhelming. There is also a game room in the back, which is a great touch & makes this place feel like more than just a quick pizza stop. It is somewhere you can hang out & enjoy yourself! Was dying for a quick eggplant sandwich so we decided to try somewhere new to us at least! Well the eggplant was simple like I asked with light sauce, but my husband got a real treat! Chicken parm mouthful is what he ordered and it's chicken parm wrapped in mozzarella sticks with cheese then wrapped in a tortilla perfectly grilled with big side of fries and their great red dipping sauce :) ahhhmmmazing is an understatement he said . Great owner ~ bartender and waitresses are all so welcoming to everyone. We always sit at the bar. It was very quiet in here today, but the server, the waitress parked in their hostess combination. She was very friendly, kind, explained all the specials, etc. showed us, especially when they had just for the sandwich. Passport was able to order a sandwich separately so that we could share it and also gave us extra plates, etc. the food was really good. The chicken was juicy, but it wasn't hot and I like the crunchiness of it and the light battle was like a temp force was a very lightweight batter, which was good. I hate thick batters. other than that, things were wonderful. The rest was very clean organized put together very busy with takeout orders and I think catering. We will come back at another time. The server just came back we had thought french fries came with the sandwich, but on the passport it does not. It's a little bit extra. We didn't count for that today however she's come back. She's surprising us with their own homemade french fries they made in an air fryer. We're gonna have some and then we'll take the rest to go. This has been a fun day and experience with my friend so we will be leaving in just a minute and heading back home. read more

We enjoyed our visit with kids. The small, separate game room was a nice space for them to escape to and an added element for our time out. There was a good variety of options for food, including many kids meals that were priced great. We tried the Level Up and PB&J Burgers, the tacos and a few kids burgers & kids pizzas. Always had good service and food from here. Went tonight and it was SO different in that 1. I ordered a sandwich that came out WAY after everyone else's food (and only after asking about it) and the place wasnt even crowded. I was hungry so I ended up eating some of my wifes pizza. By the time my food came out I was full so I ended up taking the sandwich home. 2. My wifes cheese pizza was less than stellar in that it wasn't hot and it only had cheese not much more than halfway up the slice. read more

True Score: 3.5 Stars A pizzeria with a bar and several TV's to watch a game. Weirdly it closes pretty early, so we would never choose this spot if there was a night game and we wanted to hang out later than 9pm. Decent menu with a decent selection besides pizza. We had wings, not bad, could have been cooked more. We got a pizza, it was cooked well done as we asked. It is Greek style pizza, not Italian. We did not have a sandwich but other patrons did, they looked good. The draft beer is cold and prices are affordable. The guys working here are very polite and the establishment is very clean. Just okay pizza. It's a little on the greasy side and a bit doughy. I got a medium pepperoni pizza for $14 which is a very good price. The sauce lacked flavor but the pepperoni made up. Very reasonable prices for the pizza and other menu items. Might be the cheapest pizza in the state that isn't total crap. read more

Decent square pizza. I got an X-Large cheese. Sauce and cheese ratio was good. Edges a little carmelized. Probably better is you dine in. By the time we got home the cheese had hardened a little. We also got chicken tenders. I asked that they make them buffalo style and toss with mild sauce but they didn't. I didn't realize until I got home but it was fine. They were good anyway and they did include buffalo sauce and blue cheese on side. The dough boy crisps were decent but I asked for cinnamon and powdered sugar and just got cinnamon sugar. Overall order wasn't exactly right but food was good and staff very nice. read more

This establishment is in close proximity to where I work. I typically get take out but the inside is pretty nice. The bar is expansive and well equipped with anything you could ask for. On a few occasions I've ordered the Frenchman calzone which is delicious. I order the small size which is pretty big in my opinion. My daughter gets the chicken parm calzone which she loved as well. The fries are excellent!! Seasoning is perfect as is the slight crunch on the outside, and nice and soft on the inside. This place is great as are the people who work there. I'm going to order something different next time but, damn, that Frenchmen is soooo good!!! read more

So we decided to stay in on the rainy Friday evening.. so that I could finish my paper for the final of my grad class. And so why not order some pizza and wings by way of delivery! We got buffalo tenders and buff-a-Q wings. I prefer the wings over the tenders! The wings were tender, juicy, with a slice crisp covered in delicious sauce! One of my favorite pizzas here is the Pepper Ranch Chicken! I add spinach for a hint of fresh greens to pair with the tomatoes, onions, bacon, sliced chicken, and pepper ranch dressing. And since I got delivery and am home, I don't feel bashful adding a little extra Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper. Consistently great food. read more

We were looking for a pizza to take back home with us after visiting some family in Johnston. They recommended This Guy's which honestly we never heard of till yesterday so we decided to give it a go. We kept it very simple just a plain large cheese pizza to go. I figured they couldn't possible mess up something as simple as that. The price was just slightly over $12, the guy behind the counter was very nice and even the man in the back making the pizza's struck up a little conversation and had a few laughs. Pizza was fantastic, very flavorful sauce and plenty of cheese. Service was quick and friendly. We were told it would be about 45 minutes for the pizza, we arrived 20 minutes later, had a talk with the people there and we had our pizza in under 30. When we go to visit my brother's family again in Johnston, and want to take something back home, we will certainly stop here and try some of the other items on the menu. read more

I used to love this place - their creativity was off the charts and everything was so flavorful from wings to pizza. But it's really gone downhill. Things seem more carelessly slapped together and I've gotten raging stomach aches after ordering my favorite pizza (RG+P) twice. Turns out the first time was not a fluke. Absolutely our favorite pizza place - and they have so much more than pizza!! This week we were there, sat in the dining room and had great service. I enjoyed some day drinking with a moscato lemonade and ate delicious apps and food. All while charging my phone and enjoying the free WiFi. Last week we got takeout and shared amazing pizzas with friends. They do deliver but we are outside over the coverage area (which frankly sucks because we would order more often). I came into This Guy's Pizza with some friends last night for 90's trivia and I was impressed with the size and set up of the restaurant. Usually when I think of a pizza place it's a location where I call up to order pizza to eat in the comfort of my own home but that's not how This Guy's is! The place was packed due to trivia (I was glad we reserved a table) and I was also surprised to see a full bar! The restaurant has a large selection of appetizers, pizzas, sandwiches and calzones. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and a coke. The wrap was delicious but the coke was a bit flat. One of my friend's ordered a basic pizza which looked delicious and the other ordered a small order of wings which came with more than plenty to share! The only downside to my experience was that our food took a while to come and came out at various times. I am assuming this has to do with the fact that they are filling delivery orders at the same time as restaurant orders. It was just strange that some people at our table had food 15-20 min earlier than the rest of us. I definitely plan on returning to This Guy's for trivia and trying the pizza next time! My husband and I ordered a bulk order of 20 pizzas for a basketball league. We ordered 10 XL pepperonis and 10 XL Cheese. We were so appreciative of the customer service we received because they were willing to have the pizzas ready at 10:15am even though they didn't open till 11:00. All of the kids loved the pizzas! This is my go to pizza joint. They often change up their menu adding new speciality pizzas. My favourite right now is the Level Up pizza. The employees here are always kind and delivery is never more than 45 minutes. The french fries are super tasty and never come soggy like most delivery fries do. read more
