I was very impressed with the meal I got for lunch right after my tour of the nearby Jameson Distillery. I got the hot meal offering: cheesy chicken on hot mash. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was moist and cooked well, covered with Parmesan. The mash was hot and buttery. The meal came with choice of two salads. Wasn't too impressed with the couscous but I don't usually like it either so I can hold it against them. The brownie I ordered for dessert was moist and very chocolatey. Besides great food, the price was very reasonable. Lots of food and only €7.50. The staff were helpful and gave us a free coffee when whoever ordered it couldn't be found. This is a coffee review only. Stepped in, nice space and all that. Looks decidedly cool. On my relentless search for great coffee in Dublin I ordered a small flat white to go. The bloke that made it was pleasant. But 2.95€ for a small coffee is too much anywhere. Its not only Third Space that is guilty of this. 2.95€ is 3€ and a shot of espresso costs a cafe about .20c at most. Factor in the 200ml of milk, the paper cup and the work it took to make it. Is it worth 3€? I think not, no way Jose! The coffee was very good mind you, perfectly balanced milk coffee and a nice temperature. So long moan short is that the coffee is good but the price is not. This is the price of cool. Will come back to try the food which looks good. read more

This was our favorite breakfast spot in all of Ireland. They have a small menu but it covers all the bases. Their positions are filling and coffee was out of this world. They had a lot of locals and not many tourist which was nice for a change. When we go back to Ireland I'll defiantly be back here. read more

This place is so good we came back for breakfast 2 days in a row. The space is open and bright and an absolute pleasure to have breakfast at. The staff was super warm and pleasant and the food....oh man let's talk about the food. The pancakes were amaze and the irish breakfast? This is a relaxed cafe with some really nice menu choices for breakfast or lunch. Just ok not amazing pancakes and bacon a good fry or a nice ciabatta sandwich. The staff is extremely friendly and outgoing. The food is very good (I had full weekend Irish breakfast and a great muffin) and they do unlimited refills on filter coffee. It was busy but still no prob finding table. The problem was with their numbering system. You order from counter and then take your number to your seat and they deliver food to you. I received THREE wrong meals, and then when they brought the right one, it was missing eggs! This was very common and was happening all over the restaurant. People were laughing so I guess it happens all the time. Not sure what the point of the number system is if they don't know what meal goes with what number. read more

What a lovely place for breakfast! I came here a couple times during my visit to Dublin since it was right downstairs from where I was staying. The staff was very nice and helpful to us American visitors. I really enjoyed my mini Irish breakfast, and even though it was called "mini" it was very filling and I loved the suggestion the cashier made when I asked what she recommends and she told me to get the eggs "poached"...quite delicious, especially with the perfectly buttered toast that comes with the dish that you can dip in the yolk goodness. The tomatoes and pretty much everything is cooked to perfection and tastes fresh. You have to order your food at the counter first and take your utensils and a number before they bring your food out to you. The salmon and scrambled eggs was very good as well. That brown bread is magnificent when you smoother butter on it, but I did have a friend who got her toast a little to toasty and didn't enjoy it as much since it was too crunchy. I recommend both dishes that I tried and next time I would try some of their pastries, they looked big and tasty! read more

I would recommend Third Space to anyone visiting Dublin. The restaurant is located on the north side of the river, within a 5 minute walk to the city center. The atmosphere has a rustic feel and the space is larger than most of what we experienced in Dublin. Our party of 7 was seated immediately at a large farm style table in the back. You order at the front of the store and then your food and drinks are brought to your table. I had the veggie breakfast - it was delicious and filling. Other people in the group were equally happy with the mini Irish breakfast and the pancakes served with a fries egg on top. I got the drip coffee (with unlimited refills), and was happy with my choice. People in our party also enjoyed the lattes. The restaurant features a free clean bathroom, free tap water, and free wifi - all essentials when traveling Europe. This place is a great way to start your day in Dublin. read more

Popped in because my favourite cafe in the area was no longer serving breakfast and found to my delight that this is a proper cafe. I assumed it was a 'grab a cuppa and a bite to eat and run' kind of a place. The staff are a real selling point, they are helpful, smiley, generally sound and a bit of craic. A very meh experience. Decided upon Third Space for brunch today. Went with a couple of friends. We had the pancakes, full Irish and sandwiches. The pancakes were probably the biggest disappointment, they tasted like pancakes from a packet. They came with maple syrup, a fruit pot and two pieces of bacon. Would be really surprised if they were homemade! Everything else was fine, nothing special. I got the pastrami ciabatta, which was quite nice - it came accompanied with a really sad looking bit of lettuce. I cannot believe how many positive reviews this place got. We ordered the Irish breakfast based on Yelp recs, and it was decidedly average. The eggs were not runny in any way. The worst part is I paid top dollar for an "unlimited" cup of coffee. It didn't come until after the meal was served, after I asked several times. The mug came half filled, even though I ordered it black. Maybe it may be an Irish thing, but my expectation is the coffee comes first, not last. read more

I really like the ethos of this place. Let me say that first. Now, on to the food. It is always good, especially for €4.50 for a sandwich and then another euro for two side salads. Their daily specials are always tasty, too. There are usually notes to keep customers updated about specials, pricing, etc. I feel very informed and comfortable in my eating choices. Also, €5 for a mini Irish breakfast? Yes, please. So why only 4 stars despite the great food, friendly service and fair pricing? The lack of dairy free options for sad, lactose intolerant me. There are only a few things I can get off the menu and most days I don't care because everything else is so good (seriously, check out the space because it does reflect the ethos of this place) but sometimes it's a drag. read more

Really good reasonably priced spot set in a very nice space. Good food, good coffee, but for me the real plus of third space is the room. Huge windows allow the place to flood with natural light illuminating the nicely mismatched old floor against the bare concrete walls and usually some local art dotted around. GREAT lunch spot! Right near a whiskey distillery we went to. Really well priced and super delicious. I got the goat cheese wrap and veg and it was so yummy i could have eaten another one... The food is great, tea is great, a nice venue, and they are open on Sunday. Unfortunately the lattes are not good at all. I think its the milk they use, at least that seems to be the consensus amongst myself and a few others. Since it is a coffee shop making a terrible latte has a huge impact on my rating. read more

The coffee options and toasties looked really good, but I chose the porridge, which came with a side of jam-like fruit - very nice.
