It is the worst place to grab a beer do not come if you are not from the area! I came in with my relative and they did not serve us! I ask for a reason and they did not gave us one ! Please if you want to get a quick beer or a any drink do not come here! they are not a friendly place to come ! The red head bartender was rude and not friendly at all. I don't know how they get business with those nasty bartenders being the first thing you see. After throwing a menu my way I waited a good 15 minutes while she smiled at all the white People and served them even though I had been waiting there first I watched people walk up and me and the bartender continued to make eye contact so she would know I was ready. I like the wings it's the only reason I would ever go there it was definitely not for the trash bartenders or trash service. Might as well close the place down. I think I have to give it a rating but they deserve NO stars. Won't be back to that racist ass bar with those trash ass people :) read more

Despite what Uber eats says, this kitchen closes at 1 on wed-Saturday, and 12 sun-Tuesday. Regardless, this place is amazing when it come to food and service, unmatched. I usually love this place but this past Saturday was a different vibe. I went with my girlfriend to have some drinks and food. We met there around 530pm. I had to locate a server because no one came to help us. We were able to order 2 beers then some queso. We were just about to order some food and the server told me we had to pay $7 to stay since they were showing the fight. I said we are not here for the fight we just want to eat and have some drinks. The server told me it doesn't matter since we were there sitting we had to pay. Needless to say we cashed out. Absolutely ridiculous! We were not there for the fight. We went today to watch the A&M game and the UT game. Our visit was great! We did not see or experience anything that was mentioned on the bad reviews.. The guy that was our server in the A&M section was awesome!!! Food was really good, bathrooms were clean, drinks were cold and we could easily see the TV's all over the bar. Disclaimer: this review is not about the food. I have come to Third Base to watch the SF Giants and the Dallas Mavs game many times. It's definitely a sports bar...lots of tvs, beautiful servers and always packed! In the past, the service has not been that awesome since it is so busy there are times where they forget your beer or it's hard to track somebody down to order anything. Where to begin.....this place isn't swanky, it isn't fancy, it isn't even that clean. But the beers are cold (kinda) and the wings are hot. Don't expect much else. Molly and Maddy are by far the best bartenders in the place. Their friendly attitudes are the only reason we stop in here anymore. They definitely know how to treat their regulars and make them feel like king of the castle. If you happen to come in on a night they are both working, you are in for a treat. They definitely compliment each other's styles like sugar and spice. Do anything you can to sit in their section. Also be sure to ask for a twist of lime in your beer. Maddy has a very unique way of doing it. So 4 stars for the dynamic duo, 3 stars for the beers and wings, and 1/4 star for everything else. read more

Wow. This place is disgusting. Walked through the front door and immediately there was a foul odor. My boyfriend and I decided to sit outside, we waiting 25 min before our server came to get out drink order. The server came out 4 Times to assist the table next to us, and avoided any eye contact with us. After the 5th time my boyfriend finally got up and went to get the servers attention, finally the server came over to us and took our order. No apology for the wait. I came into town and was looking for a good spot to grab a burger and some drinks. The food is above average bar food; not the best, but additional it's not bottom of the barrel. The bar atmosphere is good, always a decent size crowd, the live music was great as well. I've been back a couple more times just to verify it was consistent. The bartenders are nice and even remembered my drink. Only request is my girlfriend and I like to shoot pool there. They don't have a change machine, being I've worked in the industry I hate to bug the bartenders for quarters so I try and bring my own. Great place, little fun spot to stop at during the week. I haven't had a chance to stop by on the weekend but I will continue to come here often. read more

When I'm killing of brain cells, my liver, and my troubles, I prefer something with a bit of panache (maybe some ganache, too.) . Give me a fantastic margarita (like Z Tejas' Frusion) or give me a fantastic wine list (like the underrated Pizzeria Corvina next door). That's why Third Base isn't exactly my Happy Hour cup o tea. However, when there is a game that needs to be watched or a Dell Happy Hour to be attended, this place seems to do the trick. The formula is so easy, even a caveman could do it. Show sports, sell alcohol, make food, and administer with reasonably friendly service. Third Base is what it is, and it does what it sets out to do. The televisions show sports while people work on becoming intoxicated and eating food. This earns my coveted "you could do worse" rating. read more

I keep coming back here. It is close to where I live and it is really not that bad. I've learned to lower my expectations for some sort of spectacular service. I like going here because it is inexpensive, the people watching, and the millions (exaggeration) of TVs present. I've had some of everything on the menu. Fried pickles, sliders, tacos, fries, etc along with margaritas and other adult beverages. The food, to me is good. I'm not one of those people who analyzes every flavor of every bite....those people annoy the ish out of me (in case you care). I will keep coming back here as I do enjoy it. Tryin new places, we stopped here for MNF. A little expensive given the surroundings...not very lively. Flatbread was OK, wings were really great, though-I'd order those here anytime. Sports, Dart Boards, Brews, and Food... if those are the things you like, then you can come here for them. Most recently came here as an after work event. The place was moderately busy, and the food was "not bad." The wait and bar staff were very good at checking with you and keeping short conversations while you waited on your drink refills, food, etc. Personally, on this day I entered...it was warm in the place... this is Texas where 100 degrees is the average, walking into a place and you don't feel that "whoosh" of cool air... there is something wrong. Specifically concerning is that after sitting down for 30+ mins you don't feel the temperature change. Though it was cooler than being outside and I was not "uncomfortable" it would have been a better experience there had I been cooled off a few degrees. For the meal, I had the Turkey Panini and the the fried pickles. The best thing about the meal I will say is that the fried pickles were seasoned good, fried properly at a good temp to avoid saturating/burning/zapping the flavor from it, and had a good amount of spice to counter the tartness of the tasty pickle. I will most definitely order them when I return. As to the other items, I enjoyed the fact that they had a true Steel-tipped dart board (sorry I am bias and don't play "soft tip") area that was isolated to itself and not merely added as an attraction. Some places prefer to just throw the boards up on the wall as a decoration and novelty for the random player. As a dart player you learn to appreciate the ability to play darts without having to worry if some over indulging person will wander into the ballistic path of your sharpened dart and thus cause them an injury. Please understand I am NOT a snoot on darts, I just appreciate the opportunity to safely play a good game with friends without the need to worry about injuring someone. Plus, there are those random moments when a deflected dart can go astray.. the walled area here prevents that.. so thank you. Overall, I like the location, the feel, and the fun that the place can provide. I believe that the AC thing was just a "one off" and is probably fixed by now. I will go back and continue to give them a chance for improvement in my opinion by ordering more items and getting a better feel. As busy as the place stays I am confident that it is not just the location that brings people in.. I am confident that they have many things to offer many types of people... with that I am sure they have something there for you. read more

Positives: + Better menu than your average sports bar + Tons of TVs, with a map provided on Sundays that details exactly which game will be on which TVs + Server was friendly and attentive although the place was packed (we were there on a Sunday afternoon during NFL season) + Several healthier options, ie: salads, a salmon entree, a vegetarian sandwich, and several veggie sides + Great beer special: $3 for a 22 oz. Coors Light + Unique menu items, ie: fried clams, grits, truffled shells and cheese + Salsa tastes very fresh + Restrooms are clean and have awesome Xlerator hand dryers and TVs (though the men's restroom has two TVs while the women's restroom has only one) + Ahi tuna in the tuna tacos was well-seasoned (although overall it was a bit dry) Negatives: - No veggie burger option - Salsa has a good flavor (though a bit spicy for me) but an odd pureéd consistency - Truffled shells and cheese was disappointing. It was lukewarm when it came out and the pasta was a bit overcooked. Couldn't taste any sort of truffle oil and the cheese sauce had a weird bumpy consistency. - Tuscan Chicken entree was lukewarm (but otherwise good) - Black beans that came with our tacos were bland and lukewarm - Rice was mediocre (looked and tasted like it was from a packet) - Waitress forgot our soup (but gladly took it off our bill) - Kitchen was not closed off from restaurant. I come here all the time, but today I was extremely disappointed with staff:( There was a glass that had fallen off the table next to us and shattered on the floor. A couple bartenders looked at it and shrugged. It took them 25 minutes to sweep the broken glass that was being walked over by customers trying to sit at the bar. Everyone was kinda wondering if and when anyone was going to clean up the glass. Anyways, the server who swept the glass, put the sharp, shank- looking, broken glass back up on the clean table and left it there. 3 customers sat at that table with a broken beer glass for 5 minutes before it was taken off the table. Just a very dangerous situation, and it makes me think of what might be going on in the kitchen... yikes. read more

Womp Womp. Not a good lunch spot. 3 women and their 3 babies decided to go here for lunch one day and our server acted as if we personally offended her with this decision. I do not believe in the theory that "the customer is always right", but I hate when servers always try to prove that the customer is always wrong. When my lunch date clarified that she ordered her burger medium, the server said "yea that is what I said." Sure enough, the 3 medium burgers came out suuuuuper well done. When we pointed this out, our server said "yea I mean I can't look inside the burgers to see how they are cooked." When she asked "how is everything tasting?" She literally walked away before we could answer. So food wasn't good. Service wasn't good. Will not return. read more

We shared the red mole sweet potato flautas. The mole wasnt mole.. it was just plain salsa..like pace picante... idk how they thought that was mole??? The flautas were ok.. fried and huge. . and an order was 3. we split them and were stuffed. 2 beers, 1 mex martini and 1 app, $24 I'll be bk during football season for the mimosas. read more

the service is terrible if you are a female coming by yourself i have been coming to third base every two days and i always tip $30 even if i only get one drink because i am a server and i understand how the server industry is but now that i have been coming every other day i have started to notice i do not get the same type of service as the men in there do they get served as soon as they sit down it takes the servers 20 minutes and counting for anyone to come and serve me, i decided today that i was not tipping, since nobody came and helped me for 26 minutes i had my phone out and had the clock running until one one served me.....it took them 26 minutes and 36 seconds for me to put my first order in this is outrageous and i am never coming here again i should've timed them from the jump,and like i said i understand the service industry but the fact there is only 4 other people in there (not including me) and its took them almost 27 minutes until i was served just shows me that i do not need to tip $30 every time i come and also that there is no reason for me to come back here, i only come here because it's 2 minutes from my house now i will have to find a different place just because of the service. read more

Live close by and was so hoping this would be a great sports bar. Went there to watch the Steelers game and even though the place was filled with more Steelers fans there was no Audio in our game. The food was ok. Had better. Also the lighting in there blares at some of the tv screen and at your eyes. The back patio had the game on with audio but too much sunlight hitting the screen you couldn't even see it. This place is so much potential but I really don't think management is that invested to make it a great sports bar. Anyway.... Where to start with this sad version of a sportsbar... Let me make a list. 1. Seat yourself, get 4 menus for a party of 9. No napkins, no silverware. 2. Waitress unsure of what beers are on tap. 3. Table next to us sits unbussed for entirety of hour and a half visit....trash can set by the table 3 feet from me by employee. 4. Half the food came out first. Wings and sliders came out 10 minutes later and cold?!? 5. Desserts ordered, took 30 minutes.....they were comped. 6. Blue cheese dressing dropped on floor by waitress splashed all over my sport coat. 7. Asked for one check....they came split. Place was dead for Monday Night football....I can see why. This place is sufficient when watching a game of your team that is not in area. I would say the food is average, the service is average, and the prices are average. Came here again after a multi-year hiatus, after previously receiving awful service and deplorable hospitality by management, to be met with typical 6th street drunken behavior. My husband, sister, in-laws and friend joined us here for the OU/UT game, only to be distracted by a belligerently drunk LSU fan. When I say belligerently drunk, I mean attracted the attention of ALL inside patrons with her unending curdled screams, and inability to to remain upright without losing her balance and grabbing onto a nearby patron. I brought this behavior to the attention of a nearby male manager sporting a beard, who pacified me, with assurances that they were keeping an eye on her, promises that she'd already been cut off and they were certain she arrived with someone AKA had a ride home. She was completely distracting throughout our game and acted like a contestant on The Price Is Right. Negligent behavior on behalf of the bartenders. read more

Disappointed in this place tonight. Ordered take out with delivery and was missing part of our order.
