Came here yesterday with my boyfriend, service was friendly and vibes are very casual, minimal indoor seating but lots of outdoor seating. Felt kinda rushed to order, but obviously we were standing by the door looking at the menu. Had never been before, just got a cider and a marionberry lemon drop. My boyfriend likes ciders and they're nothing special, $7 for that and $10 for the marionberry lemon drop. I wasn't the biggest fan of the drink, kinda sour and sweet at the same time, ehh. Eugene may not be the biggest City in America but it does include some of the best and most amazing places to hang out. Thinking Tree is one of the finest among fine local places to relax, have a superior cocktail and connect. I truly love this intimate, quiet and super tasty distillery/lounge where I can enjoy a Moscow Mule, hand crafted gin & tonic or another of the remarkable top shelf cocktails. I definitely think this is a great spot to hit up with your friends for a social night, or to plan close up your favorites to bring home. The house Bloody Mary mix is perfectly heated and has a good amount of horseradish! The staff is friendly and the cocktails are beautiful! Nothing is ever too sweet. They have a small snack menu and occasionally have a food truck out front. They are also close to hop valley. Definitely recommend their products for gifts too! Came here for the first time on a Friday evening for a date night. We made it in time for happy hour (3-6 each day) which includes some nice discounts on drinks, and, best of all, a free serving of rosemary chipotle cocktail nuts! I got a tasting flight and we chowed down on the nuts while we waited for our food order from Da Nang, one of the food carts on site. The gin was my favorite to sip straight...herb-y and smooth without being too medicinal. The mocktail menu is solid, too, my partner got a nonalcoholic beverage which he enjoyed. Our food from Da Nang came quickly and was delicious and fresh as always. (We each got the rice with chicken.) I also ordered a gin and tonic with paloma grapefruit gin with my dinner. Super tasty! I love a bitter drink and this one delivered. I also appreciated that they use reusable glassware AND metal straws to cut down on waste. There is some indoor seating, and a good amount of outdoor seating, which I still prefer at this point. It's semi-covered so it blocks the wind, and some heat lamps and fire pits to give it a cozy vibe. A wonderful stop on a warm summer night. Thinking tree always has new and interesting drink options. We tried out their summer menu this week and it did not disappoint. I had the lavender drink which was similar to a whiskey sour but with lavender. Very tasty and beautiful, love a drink with egg white. My partner had the tiki drink which came in a very small glass and really packed a punch flavor wise. Not what I expected, but pretty tasty. Star 1: Love the small cozy space! There's a tree decked out with string lights, cattle skulls, bright pops of color throughout, and the coolest repurposed industrial bar-stools. Spring was in the air yesterday and it made me want to quit work early and get out of the house! So I took a book and headed to Thinking Tree. That was the right choice. I grabbed two cocktails and hung out on their patio for about two hours, reading and sipping my beverages. Thinking Tree sells premixed cocktails, and I've been intrigued, so I used this opportunity to try a glass before committing to a whole bottle. The first one I got was the gin gimlet. Light and sweet with some lime tartness, it was delicious and refreshing. The second was the Bee's Knees, which I believe is a collaboration with Glory Bee honey. This was a sweet, mellow cocktail that I really enjoyed. Pours of their premixed cocktails were $5/glass. They also have a daily happy hour. It's listed on their menu and website as 3-6pm (although the bartend thought it started at 4pm--double-check if you go) with reduced prices for signature and seasonal cocktails and taster flights, as well as complementary house-made nuts with the first round of drinks. I'm surprised I haven't written a review for Thinking Tree already! I've come a few times before, enjoyed their cocktails, had dinner from the food trucks on their lot, and purchased a bottle of the Paloma grapefruit gin, which was lovely. This place is a great part of the community and I think I'm going to take more advantage of visiting now that the weather's getting nicer! read more

Great place! Granted, I haven't tried out their full cocktail abilities, since I just got a $5 Moscow Mule on tap (with homemade ginger beer!). But the very existence of a refreshing $5 cocktail is already good reason to go. A friend said the grapefruit gin is delicious. Cocktails on the menu look creative but not too frilly and overcomplicated. And there are two food trucks in the parking lot--BBQ and Ramen--plus tons of shaded outdoor seating. Decided to visit the store front after making a purchase at the outdoor market. I thought their product was absolutely amazing. I was quite disappointed in the service I received upon patronizing their establishment. The bartender was extremely dismissive and proceeded to serve a customer that came in 10 minutes after we did before serving us. I would hate to think this was based off the difference in our ethnicities. However, that was the only difference between us and the patron served before us. We decided to leave rather than support an establishment with such biases. read more

We tried this spot out for a quick drink on our anniversary 4-7-2018 while deciding what to do for dinner. It's gorgeous inside, I love all the artwork and how there are so many styles and unique pieces. I felt like I was in a tasteful art history class again! The bartender was friendly, efficient, professional and overall fantastic. We each got one drink, mine was a rum cocktail with lime in it. It was good, not amazing but tasty. My husband got a strawberry basil cocktail and it was amazing! Best drink I've tried in years. The only issues is they have limited seating and while we were ordering all the tables filled up, but they do have a sign about it and it's totally fine. The Thinking Tree is an adorable distillery in the Whitaker district of Eugene. The interior sports a quaint steam-punk-esque theme with an amazing thinking tree as the center focal point of the tasting room. They do free tours of the operation. They also do tasting and delicious cocktails! When I went, they had a vodka, gin, and rum. I wasn't crazy about the rum, but I ended up buying bottles of the vodka and gin to take home to New Mexico!
