I believe I heard that the tasting room here had only recently been opened after being a bottling location for years. I brought my Sister-in-law here on a rainy Saturday night to finally check them out. It's a quaint and homie tasting room with a nice selection of wines to try. Since we were the only ones in at this time we struck up a conversation with Greg behind the bar. He revealed to us that they have big plans with this location, really trying to push it towards being a fun place to host parties and tasting events. He then took us on a small tour of their establishment, where they store all of the grapes, where they are left for fermentation, how they are eventually bottled, and their lab where they really get down to the science of this entire process. He explained that they get their grapes from the over 40 vineyards that they manage. We really appreciated the hospitality from Greg and the impromptu education session. I've been trying my best to get the word out on this location for I would love to see them more busy on a Saturday evening. On days when you would love a winery experience but don't want to drive the 40 minutes towards one, here is one right in the heart of the Whit area. read more

If you are a person of color I would not suggest visiting this particular wine cellar! My friends and I visited this wine cellar today and let me say the reception was beyond ICY! The woman at the tasting bar was down right rude, cold, disinterested and gave us a look like GET OUT! The only thing that made the visit salvageable was Shelly who actually saw and heard how rude this woman was to me and initiated a really friendly conversation with my sister. Shelley even gave us a full tour of the winery in the back and her little business loft which was quite cute and she was very congenial and polite and friendly. My sister and I have over 10 years of wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa California and have never had such a blatantly rude and cold reception. The woman at the bar never said hello, she never offered us a wine tasting, her answers to any of my questions about varietals were short and curt. Come to find out the woman at the bar was the owners wife, who as we exited the wine cellar, neither the wife or the husband spoke to us, didn't say goodbye, no thank you for stopping in, just nothing. It would be a nice pleasure to see Shelly again but not those two! BE FOREWARNED! read more

Amazing place!! Went there for a date night (on a Thursday) and the owner was so warm and welcoming! She showed us around the place and explained EVERYTHING! She was so sweet and allowed us to stay past closing to hang out and eat. Wonderful place! Would definitely recommend!! read more

My fiancé and I came here for the first time for drinks around 7pm on a Friday night. There was one other couple hanging out at a table outside and no one inside (ICYMI: not busy for a Friday night). Our wine-tender was very friendly and helped us taste a few drinks before ordering. I tried the Pinot Gris, Malbec, and Cucumber Cider. All of the drinks were delicious, but I went with the Cucumber Cider because of how unique it was. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves hard ciders, is weary of non-apple hard ciders (I know I am), and thinks that most hard ciders are way too sweet. This drink was perfectly delightful and super refreshing. My fiancé got a glass of the Malbec, which was smooth and earthy - we enjoyed it so much, we bought a bottle on our way out. The outdoor seating is romantic with picnic tables, string lights and gorgeous trees. There is a decent food truck called STFU and Nom, which has some amazing locally sourced proteins and veggies, as well as a gluten free menu. Overall, we had a wonderful Eugene summer night here, and would come back again! read more

That was actually my mom working the tasting room the day that your group came in. first i'd like to say we are truly sorry you had a bad experience. we try hard to be very welcoming and ensure people have a good time. we are a struggling family owned winery and trying to make the best of what we're working with. as you could probably tell it's pretty simple and we've not been able to throw a lot of money at it. so personality is all we really have, that and we make some pretty good wine. On your review, I understand not everybody is going to like us that's part of life. I would like to say though that to say we are racist is very hurtful and could not be further from the truth. instead I would offer that a couple other things happened here. my understanding is that you and a group of friends came in and wanted to do trivia night, that would be fun and is a great idea. it sort of caught her/my mom off guard that combined with her having had a late night with to much fun at the Michael Franti concert the night before and the fact that she has a very dear friend who is terminally sick was not really able to think quickly on her feet and recover. I have not mentioned this review to her yet and I know she will be mortified and would probably like the chance to offer an apology. I wanted you to know that we all take this very seriously and it truly saddens us to be seen this way and also to explain where our hearts are at. we do this because we like the process and we like people, it's a labor of love. Also to say that although we failed to give you the experience you wanted and the one we strive for sometimes people just have off days. again, my sincere apologies wish we had it to do over again.
