I loved this tasting room tucked away and friendly service. Great Sauvignon Blanc on a warm summer evening.

Beautiful setting for a winery, not far from Eugene and Junction City. The tasting room was nicely…read moredecorated and laid out well. Outside seating was very nice. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about their wines. A bit steep for $12 per tasting, with a small pour for each taste. (Waived with the purchase of 2 bottles of wine or club membership sign up). I was impressed with their Pinot Noirs and ended up buying a couple bottles. But I was far less impressed with the Riesling (off dry) and the Pinot Noir Rosé. The Pinot Gris 2018 was crisp and had a nice mouthfeel to it but again, not overly impressed by it. Plenty of people around us were having bottles of the Whites and the Pinot Noir Rosé, so I guess it is just my taste that is different than others. The reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars, is the fact that you are not allowed to bring any outside food at all. And with a small winery, picnics are what gives them charm (to me). Definitely worth checking them out, just prepare to spend more money than some of the wineries around them.

I have visited probably 100 winery tasting rooms over the past 60 years and have about 2000 bottles…read moreof wine in my cellar and have NEVER been refused tasting at a winery until 2022 & 2023 in three visits to Five Fourteen Vineyards. While I didn't have an advance reservation, each time, there were still empty tables, but twice they said they had insufficient staff and the last time, at 4PM, 2 hours before closing, said it was just too hot!!! They seem to run this as a hobby rather than a serious business. Their wine may be good, but I have never been able to taste it, so I can't recommend visiting unless you request a reservation, which is ONLY done via email, at least 24 hours in advance.
