Every time I visit I want to stay for hours. Great people, food, views, garden and they don't have a single bad wine. Today we stopped by and it was another delightful afternoon. The girl helping us mentioned that she had baked a pound cake and picked fresh peaches from the property garden. You have no idea how good this was specially paired with the best Riesling I have ever tasted. Love Walnut Ridge so much I became a wine club member on my first visit. read more

Not my first visit here, so figured I'd better give them a review. I remember coming here when they first opened the tasting room, no electricity, partially finished, fun. Now that it's all done and decorated, it's still fun. Today we celebrated a couple of birthdays on a fine Fall afternoon. Had estate Pinot noir and Pinot Gris along with the most of the small menu! First, the wine- you'll notice the list is Pinot noir heavy. That's because they know how to grow and make a delicious wine. If you're not sure which one to try, do a tasting to help you narrow it down. It's nice you have such a variety here; from a 20111 to 2015 vintage. I love them all. The Pinot Gris is just as amazing, so jump right in. We were all hungry today, so we ordered the cheese plate, vintners plate and and the deviled eggs, even though the vintners plate has eggs. This is a HINT, the deviled eggs are amazing. The bacon jam is delicious, but the deviled egg can hold its own. If you remotely like deviled eggs, GET THESE. The serving amount on the plates are a bit on the light side for the price, but still worthy. Cheese, chocolate, bread, fruit and a bit of jam. Salami, cheese, pear, and walnut. Absolutely loved this vineyard and tasting room. They have great views, with lots of outdoor seating. As we drove in we where greeted by a flock of turkeys crossing the drive. The owners where tending the tasting room and are very friendly. Generous tastings and great tasting wine. I am not a white wine person, but I particularly enjoyed the white wines, in fact, this was a theme at all the vineyards we visited. We gobbled down a charcuterie board and the deviled eggs are amazing!! They make a bacon jam and its placed on top. Walnut Creek is worth a stop to. read more

This place is amazing!! When you drive up your taken back by the view and how the tasting room and landscaping is so welcoming. Then you go inside. Beautiful! Friendly and g Rest wine to boot. There was a couple of 4 playing cribbage inside to a small family outside. The owner is very involved and makes sure his customers are taken care of. A must to see/visit and diene time. Lovely place and owners are wonderful. Wendy you have spoiled us with your Deviled eggs with bacon Jam!! Ummm sooo good. We enjoyed the vintners plate too. Jim does a great job running the tasting room. The outside area is beautiful and tranquil. Can't wait to enjoy a glass of wine outdoors by the fountain. So enjoyed our stop at Walnut Ridge. Just a beautiful setting, lovely landscape with tables scattered throughout. We sat on the covered patio. Our dogs were welcome there. Nice inside tasting area, but we took ours outside. Nice people. Nice wine. Made a perfect day. read more

Walnut Ridge has it all. Beautiful pastoral country views, a cozy tasting room, and wine that delivers on it's promise. It keeps things simple with two flight options, along with a la cart tastings, and a small, but changing food menu. The food pairings are obviously well thought out to compliment the wine. The tasting room is heaven for the true wine aficionados; but the owners are so down to earth, and happy to offer an introduction to what their wine is all about if you're new to the tasting routine. I recommend buying a bottle of wine, sitting on the patio and drinking in the experience of what a first class wine tasting room should be. read more

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. Although a bit busy for a small country wine tasting room, we were given personal attention by Jim, the owner. We always like to know more about the winery and their vision. Jim was happy to share his with us. Seems like it would be a great place to hang out with a glass on wine and visit with friends. I have read that there food is delicious and we would like to try some on our next visit. The REDs were great; our favorite being the 2012 Pinot Noir Walnut Ridge Emma. We would have liked to buy some to take home, but it is priced beyond our budget. We liked our experience and the winery so much that we recommended it to 2 other parties while at other wineries on our stay. The estate 2015 Pinot is good. That being said, be ready for over priced wine tasting, glass and bottle prices. $8 for 3 short samples. $14 for a glass of pinot and $48 for a bottle. Ouch! I guess it's the California effect. read more

Wine Club members " Hurry up and wait for the Harvest Party" was an event to remember. We attended with 4 friends and we all enjoyed the hospitality of the proprietors and their friends from Capitello winery from Eugene. We were welcomed with a glass of Champagne and appetizers. The servers were informative and friendly. Our main meal was a Shrimp boil. Shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, roasted vegetables, and Cajun potato salad. Kudos to Wendy the Chef! Outstanding! There are two tasting options: a $5 and a $10. Neither let you choose what you're tasting. The venue is beautiful but they don't allow you to bring your own food. They have a few snacks but nothing worth mentioning. The wine is good but spendy. A class can easily cost $16. For the drive and the effort, go somewhere cheaper that allows picnics. read more
