Charcuterie is available and there is typically a food truck as well if you get hungry. Sarver didn't do tastings the Memorial Day weekend my gal pal and I arrived for obvious reasons, but they close later than most vineyards in the area and had live music. This particular weekend was beautiful outside and there was quite a crowd gathered in the back patio along with live performers. Despite the busyness, the host was patient enough to offer us a few splashes while we decided what to get. This was the first place I'd ever heard of a white pinot noir (which btw, is NOT the same as a pinot blanc) and my gal pal fell in love with it. I went with a pinot noir rosé (which btw, is NOT just any rosé) which matched the weather and mood perfectly. All in all a relaxing, sip-worthy, educational experience! read more

Great winery spot! Came recommended by someone who grew up in the area. Good wine, although we only tried whites and rose, and they don't do tastings on busy days. Very tasty white wines, on the sweeter side but still doable. A really nice spot to sit and take in the view, and it seemed like even on a busy day people were coming and going and there was a good turnover on tables. The cheese could be ordered a la carte and was very tasty and reasonably priced. The fig jam was good. The pizza takes a while, and the margherita was fine, but very wet--no blotting on the mozzarella and thick pieces of tomato that were still juicy when the pizza came out, so very liquidy. I'd maybe try a non-tomato pizza next time. There was plenty of parking along the driveway and down the hill. read more

Loved that you can buy snacks, we had a basket of break and trust me the 'large' basket is large. there was only two of us and there was way too much bread. we had apples, proscutto, cheese, grapes and a few other items on our board. they had a pizza company food truck also there. they had wine tasting set up which I loved because it was an asortment of white and red. you cannot beat the views either, it's gorgoues (just see the photos)! we went on a saturday when they opened and by lunchtime it was starting to really fill up, there is not a ton of out door seating so i reccomend getting there early! read more

A small rustic winery with a great view. I love the casual and inviting atmosphere. The place offers an affordable wine-tasting experience. Service was lacking. I'm a novice when it comes to wine so I would appreciate it if the staff would tell me more about the wine rather than just pouring it. They don't do flights but you can do tasters for $2 each. I went with a full glass of 2018 Riesling. It was light, floral, and flavored with peach notes. However, I was more impressed with their 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon-smooth with notes of vanilla and a hint of smoke. To pair with the wines, there is a selection of charcuterie boards featuring local cheese, jam, hazelnuts, etc. to choose from. read more

Beautiful views from the patio and having a wood fire on a cold day made it possible to still be outdoors. Being able to do tastings for $2 helped us settle in on a glass of wine to enjoy. We've been here three or four times over the years. Our favorite is their Cabernet Sauvignon and their Pinot Noir is a good one. The people working at this vineyard are wonderful people. Knowledgeable and just fun to be with. The View can't be beat! Between the view of the vineyard ( sometimes with fully covered grapes), wild flowers ( including California Poppies) and the whole valley spreading out below with Fern Ridge Lake spread out in the near distance. We've enjoyed their charcuterie board. The fresh grapes they have are amazing! You get to choose from the wonder cheese and meat selections that are highlighted with different artisan crackers. Penelope their wood fired pizza truck serves an excellent New York style pizza. Friday evenings in summer there is live music! What can make a better chill out experience? read more

Beautiful location, it was so pleasant sitting outside on the patio with a nice glass of wine, enjoying the sunshine and the views. The service left much to be desired though - the woman serving us rattled off the wines' properties in a robotic disinterested voice, barely looking up from her project. She said that since they weren't doing flights, she'd "be happy to give a splash" before we committed to a wine. We each got a tiny sip of two wines before choosing, which ended up going on our bill at $2 a sip! She also charged us full price even though we'd ordered half pours. In the end she adjusted the bill, but it took three tries to get it right. We were the only ones in the place and ordered from the bar, so she could've given us her attention for the few scant minutes we were inside. read more

Service was horrible. We, the two of us stopped in about 12:30 last Friday afternoon. We were the only ones there inside. After two tastings we decided to sit at the sofa by a table. We noticed shortly after we were getting strange looks and whispers. And when I asked Aaron the male server, if we could have another wine taste, He rudely said no, and said only if you come up to the bar! We were the only two inside, and he would not service at the table, which was only a few short steps from the bar. I was flabbergasted, and he was adamant about it. We had a weekend where we decided to go to the wineries near our house. This one seems to be the closest, and so far my favorite. The scenery was beautiful driving in. The views are just amazing once you get to the top. The staff were all so helpful, and wonderful. The flights I would have to say hats off, because I liked a lot of what I tried. There was maybe one, or two that I turned my nose up at. But they were not terrible. I am just picky. We ended up liking several wines here. Pinot gris being my favorite. It was light, and crisp. The second one I really took a liking to was their Gewurztraminer. It is a white as well that is also refreshing, and crisp. Went down smooth. They have a great selection of cheese trays. I noticed a lot of people brought their dogs, and sat by the fire, and enjoyed the view. We went two days in a row that weekend. We have not had a chance to go back yet, but definitely plan on it. We have other friends that say this is one of their favorite wineries as well. read more

It was an enjoyable 30 min drive from Eugene through the hill country to get some lunch and see the beautiful hills, trees, farmland, and color this fertile area offers. You won't complain about the drive and is the appetizer to your luncheon journey. The wine was tasty, the staff friendly, and the food hit the spot which was a small selection of charcuterie and cheese options. We had some delicious blue cheese with fig jam on a baguette accompanied with salami, prosciutto, castelevetrano olives and pears. The incredible view was our dessert. This is my favorite "view winery " in Eugene. It's our "go to" place with friends and guests. This summer we particularly enjoyed their roses, both still and sparkling. Some of their reds can be hard to taste young, but all of them seem to improve greatly after a year or two in bottle. Covid-friendly outdoor seating. I don't know how it took me so long to write a review for my favorite winery in the Eugene area. My husband and I LOVE Sarver. The scenery is beautiful and they have a fun outdoor seating area where they often have live bands playing in the summer. The inside is nice too for days when it's rainy or cold. The wine is fantastic, especially their whites and rose (and that's coming from a red wine lover). They also have a great selection of cheese and charcuterie, and they designed their menu in a way that the cheese goes with almost every wine. You must come here. It's that good. read more

Once of my favorite places in Eugene! The winery is outside the city and overlooks beautiful rolling hills. The ambiance is fabulous. What is actually notable is the cheese plate and spread as I'm a cheese plate sucker...the goat cheese is fabulous and their wine...?? Of course it's fabulous as well. You'll feel welcomed the moment you step inside the cozy tasting room and with your first sip of wine, you'll realize you have found a hidden gem in the Willamette Valley. I can't wait to come back for the wine, views, hospitality, indoor/outdoor seating and all around feeling like you are hours outside of the city. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and their wines, cheeses and snacks were fairly priced. Parking is very convenient and I even saw a party bus leaving as we came in. I like the charm of this place and the wine was very well balanced (I tried three and went with the chardonnay which I normally am not a huge fan of but theirs is wonderful). Cheers! read more

One of our favorite wineries in the valley. Located in the Veneta area, super close to Eugene. The views are beautiful and so is the tasting room. The bar top is long and perfect for an informative tasting from the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Stuffed chairs and couches take up the rest of the tasting room facing out the beautiful glass doors and windows leading out to the patio. The patio looks over the vineyard and out to the mountains. It can get a bit windy out there (just saw the wind catch an umbrella and tip over a table breaking some wineglasses, thankfully empty). It appears to be dog friendly (but only seen small dogs there). They might have been out of our two favorite wines the last time we went (the Arneis and Cuvee), but the staff was able to lead us in the direction of similar tasting wine so we weren't disappointed. Great beer on tap for those not inclined to wine (watershed IPA as of late). Their food is incredible. Lots of fancy and unique cheeses to spread on the softest bread you've ever had, plus a cheese of the week for variety. The muenster/havarti mix cheese is our favorite so far. The olive tapenade is an absolute must! Our server was kind enough to let us know that we could buy it from Market of Choice ;) Not a fan of the whole olives (not enough vinegar). I had friends from the east coast come and visit and was super excited to show them a great time. When we got there, the place was a ghost town and I was so excited to pick out a great place to sit and enjoy the gorgeous view. We walked inside and there was a frantic waitress, I believe her name was Carla, and she pointed at us and said to her coworker "Can you take care of THIS." We got no welcome, no introduction to the wine or menu, even after letting them know it was everyone but myself's first time coming. I was so embarrassed. It was not only unprofessional but just really rude and SO AWKWARD. She continued to huff and puff at us like we were bothering her by being there. We ended up getting a bottle and a cheese board and leaving. It sucks because the wine and view are so great but that employee is going to lose them a LOT of business. She was just mean. We saw her later as we checked out and she had clearly calmed down and did not apologize or acknowledge her behavior. There was a clear vibe from other staff that she acted that way a lot. Another coworker apologized for it but stated they were short staffed even though at the end of all of that there were only three groups of people...and three staff. If I owned that place I would be pretty disappointed to have that behavior around. read more
