The deck has a fantastic view of the lake and is a perfect spot for a quiet glass of wine.

Always a fantastic time up there. Amanda has helped me two separate times and remebered me the second time. She is extremely knowledgable and great at what she does. She helped my husband and I get a couple of bottles to take home after our tasting. Will be back again!

They sell my favorite Marachal Foch, and have the most amazing selection of varieties.

They were racist to the people of color in my group. They also serve crackers but no cheese. Give me a break!

The wines were a series of varieties, I actually got to try mead for the first time and I loved it.

I went on Sunday to pick up an order I placed. The Tasting Room in the main house is still closed for renovations so they were hosting on the event space. Michael whom I had met on my first visit was there as was a new manager, Bradley. There was time for some great conversation about a champagne tasting I had just been on Friday and that's how I learned that Brad was a certified sommelier who was in fact very familiar with the champagne I had been tasting. Different somms have different strengths so it was enjoyable to reflect on the champagne I have been able to taste with someone who was familiar with many of the houses, like Louis Roderer and Bereche et Fils, etc. I came to pick up several bottles of the 2018 Inscription, which was the inaugural vintage for what has now become a top award-winning wine in its category according to Wine Enthusiast. The 2022 Inscription Pinot Noir took top place out of 100 affordable wines reviewed by Wine Enthusiast. I had come across it in a Cannon Beach Tasting Room and everyone I share shared it with that night was over the moon -- abandoning their own pinots after they had tasted this one. Discovering it was King Estate, just 30 mins away, decided to purchase directly from the winery. (Though I took the last five bottles of the 2022 available, happy to report that Trader Joe's has the 2023 Inscription. I would run not walk to store up on those.) Michael poured me the Bradshaw, which I had not tasted previously. Then the Stone's Throw which I had enjoyed the most on my last visit. I decided to open a bottle of the 2018 to see how many I wanted to take home, and then decided to open a bottle of the 2022 I just purchased because I wanted to compare. I invited Tasting and response responses from both Michael and Bradley who were helpful. Ordered some truffle fries which were perfectly done, with shaved Parmesan garnish. The sun was shining and there were some beautiful photos to be taken with the gemlike ruby colors of the wines. One of the best solo afternoons I've enjoyed in the PNW in a long time. Highly recommend you visit.

The real surprise of the visit was the carrot soup--it was absolutely outstanding and a must-order item on the menu. As we looked around the tasting room, nearly everyone seemed to be enjoying the charcuterie board with their wine. While it looked great, I couldn't help but think they were missing out by not trying the soup! Whether you're a wine expert or simply enjoy discovering new wines, this winery offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff, a diverse tasting flight, and some truly delicious food. We'd definitely return.

But for me most of their styles aren't to my taste so I haven't tried many more than the stouts. Visiting their brewery is a unique experience, and if you appreciate beer, wine, food, or farm-to-table initiatives, this is a must-visit. It's located outside of Eugene, a worthwhile and beautiful drive through farms and wineries. The brewery is in a field overlooking more; amazing big skies and plants all around. The house has a number of tables with a small bar and big windows/doors that can open during the nice parts of the year. They also have a lot of outdoor seating, including a tent and warmers for the colder months. We were there on a weekday around lunchtime so it wasn't busy. Immediately the bartender was welcoming and quick to get us going, including talking us through the menu. We ordered pretty much the entire menu of food, that rotates as produce is available. The kitchen is a separate trailer building outside and it was fun to watch them get ready for later meals that day. We shared a bit of everything, which was fun. A memorable experience was the truffle farmer bringing one in he just found the size of a softball, which they then shaved over the fish dish. Their beers are wild fermented, then blended in a similar process to some wines. I enjoyed branching out with different fruited varieties, plus stouts and rare variants. Their tasting boards are beautifully done as well. The beer competition medals are proudly displayed with their merchandise, they also have a large selection of bottled beers to go. I bought a bottle of peppermint stout to share at home, which was wonderful and it was worth the effort. Prices are reasonable for the terroir of the food and beer, it's worth it to spend a little more than miss out. The bartender also took us on a tour, explained how they blended. It was a wonderful memory and Alesong will always be one of those special breweries for me.

I sure missed out on a lot. Their event was made extra special by the staff, as they were all knowledgeable and well-versed in the food and wine pairings that were offered at this event. I was particularly impressed as to how they were keeping the bottles of white wine cold by using ice that they had frozen flowers in. It was a beautiful presentation. There was a brick oven pizza set up and the pizzas were delicious. I am not sure if they are there all the time or because this was a special event. The wines are on point with each presentation and the outside area is spectacular. The inside area can hold a lot of people, especially on rainy days and very nicely decorated with lots of large windows. I can hardly wait to go back there again when all of the roses around the outside patio area are in Bloom! I will be bringing my small senior dog next time I visit their winery as they are dog friendly.
