Appetizer extraordinaire
Jay P.

A seven star place stuck in a five star rating system. The view, the wine, the appetizers, the service, the entree, the weather...Well ok, the weather was great though and it all made for a very nice dinner with friends. The view was atop a hill overlooking the valley below with a backstop of the hills that make the valley a valley. The flowers were in bloom and the grape vines were green with the air full of birds riding the updrafts in the background, just a calming and beautiful view. The vino is primo, and matches up with the menu for any strategic approach to fine dinning. It is what they do after all. The best appetizer I have had in a long, long time. wordered the 5 selection platter and it was just plain amazing!!! So robust with flavours and sauces, spreads and breads to match the selections. The servers were very helpful and attentive while they helped us develop this strategy for dinner. They answered every question with good information and just seemed like nice hard working professionals. The fillet mignon was cooked to perfection for each person and about a foot thick (well maybe a bit of exaggeration). It cut with a butter knife (no exaggeration) and it was a generous portion. Accompanied by rich and flavourful mushroom and potato sides to complete the presentation. Just amazing!!! What an evening! Thanks Kings Estate

a platter of appetizers - A long wooden platter holds an assortment of meats, cheeses, crackers, and fruits, served on a white tablecloth with glassware and cutlery nearby.

fancy af we went here just for kicks and gigs and were treated like royalty. their charcuterie board was so fancy

Oysters - Oysters are presented on a salt bed with chopped green onions, yellow roe, and herbs, arranged on half shells in a rustic setting.

Has become one of our favorite dinner spots! Menu changes regularly, but always incredible. Be sure to make reservations

Cheese plate to start

We had an excellent meal at kings estate! I had a glass of their sparkling and it paired well with everything. My husband and I started with the homemade bread and the plate of five cheeses. The cheese chosen were exceptional including one of my favorites, humbolt fog blue cheese. There were also some nice fruits like blueberries and figs and a great jam! My husband and I both had the salmon and we shared the olives and kale as sides. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was served on a bed of delicious mushrooms and homemade pasta. The kale was also awesome with the pork belly! Maybe my favorite thing! Having a major sweet tooth and since Oregon is known for their berries, I had the blueberry pie. It is what Californians would call a tarte (it was small and round and not the traditional pie wedge) but still very fresh and good. Service was excellent and the view outside was spectacular. I'd recommend a reservation though to make sure you can take advantage of the great view.

The view changes every time we dine on the Terrace, more beautiful each time. And the red wine flight was superb. We really enjoyed the warm olives, the roasted hazelnut (need more salt) and the bread. It just took time to get as we waited for ever coarse. Nothing is convenient for the servers and that translate to your guests. With all the staff there it should not be such a struggle to dine. Our server seemed more into showing his tattoo on his forearm, than anticipate our needs. He left empty plates way to long for the buser to pick up. Almost like he was to good. We had to ask for more bread, water, salt, pepper, more dressing and the check. The entree salads were good, but it was just not a crisp dining experience as previous visits. We were driving from PDX to Medford; a leisurely trip, but we did not want to spend the day, other wineries to visit. If the server did not get it, just talk to your guests.

We love coming to King Estate! In Lane County, the atmosphere and views are unmatched! The restaurant at KIng Estate produces some of the finest food in Lane County. We've been coming here for years, and for the most part, our meals have been excellent. Our favorites have included - Domaine Wine (red or white), crab cakes, the roasted chicken, and the filet. Unfortunately, I can't give King Estate five stars... Until recently, we have really enjoyed the desserts and other offerings at King. But lately, some things have just been bad. For instance, if you order Tiramisu, it should not be a gelatinous blob on a plate - period. In addition, what happened to the quality of the Quiche Lorraine? It used to be one of our favorite brunch dishes... So, enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, wine, and most food offerings...just skip the desserts and the Quiche Lorraine, until they get things sorted out.

This is probably one of my favorite restuarants. I have good service everytime i visit and the food is absolutely top notch. Their wine and wine flights are delicious and the servers have excellent knowledge of their products. I always impressed with their menu and especially love the fact they use food from local farms. Their honey is harvested on site and they use fruits from their orchard. Im always impressed with the presentation of their food and was especially pleased with their golden raisin sourdough bread. Im always counting the days til i can go back. Its a great place and a good destination to eat at for any put of town visitors. I strongly recommend their brunch.

Tart de jour and brioche French toast.....WOW

The building, tour, and view are amazing. Also, they are very innovative and environmentally conscious. The wine is good, too.

Their event was made extra special by the staff, as they were all knowledgeable and well-versed in the food and wine pairings that were offered at this event. I was particularly impressed as to how they were keeping the bottles of white wine cold by using ice that they had frozen flowers in. It was a beautiful presentation. There was a brick oven pizza set up and the pizzas were delicious. I am not sure if they are there all the time or because this was a special event. The wines are on point with each presentation and the outside area is spectacular. The inside area can hold a lot of people, especially on rainy days and very nicely decorated with lots of large windows. I can hardly wait to go back there again when all of the roses around the outside patio area are in Bloom! I will be bringing my small senior dog next time I visit their winery as they are dog friendly.

We went on a Sunday and did not have reservations and our group of 4 were able to be seated right away. Two of us did the red flight and one did the white while our driver sipped a coke. We had the Mediterranean plate and I would not recommend it, however the pickled asparagus and onions were delicious. Rest felt like it was left over from many days before. Wine was tasty and interesting to try a Chardonnay from the region. My favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc. Coolest part was seeing all the other tables bringing in their own boards and snacks. What a beautiful place to taste or have a glass of wine with your own assortment of goodies. Staff did a nice job explaining the wines and what made them unique with grapes from the region. Truth be told the name of the winery is what sold us on checking it out.

This winery on the edge of West Eugene is lovely and spacious, a really good place for meetings (in…read morethis case, a book discussion group). Out front it looks like a drab warehouse, but when you go around back, the patio is nice, and the interior is beautiful. There's a variety of wine, and the winery owner offers free samples before you buy a glass (or bottle). Otherwise, there's a chocolate menu. I'd get drunk if I drank a glass of wine on an empty stomach, but the event organizer brought lots of snacks (and there was a sort of buffet table in the back corner for that). Lots of seating and tables.

No real food available beyond cheese and chocolate, and we were hungry. We finished our wine and decided to ride together to get a proper dinner after our tasting. I left my car in the lot by the winery.... We return later, about 6 p.m. to find the lot all locked up, my car inside. No phone number, no way to get it out. NO SIGNS ANYWHERE. I am from out of town, and after several minutes of angry panic, realized I had no choice. I had to get a hotel; and dinner; and an Uber; and breakfast; and another Uber. I both called the business (and left a very nice voicemail), and sent two messages on FB Instant Messenger. Neither was returned by 9 am next day - so I called u. Someone answered, and said yeah, the lot was now open, I could get my car. BUT, NO ONE CALLED ME BACK, and the IM just said "Yeah, we lock up our lot, sorry this happened to you, hope you'll be back." I WILL NOT EVER BE BACK. That was an inadequate apology at best. I missed work, had to pay out a ton of cash, and was overall WAY inconvenienced because YOU HAVE NO NOTICES TO THE PUBLIC THAT YOU DO THIS.
