This is one of my favorite spots when I visit Eugene! We spend 10 days in Eugene recently and probably visited 4 times! It is an awesome wine store and a great wine bar. The menu is simple but I have never had a bad bite! The wines by the glass are always solid. You can also pick out any bottle in the adjacent store and drink it for just a $10 corkage. Becca, the owner, is super knowledgeable about all things wine, bubbles and vermouth, If you ask her to help you pick out a wine, she will find you gems. She helped us get the perfect wines to celebrate our daughters's law school graduation. read more

If someone pays $135 and gets the date wrong there should be a heartfelt attempt to reschedule. This owner said heck no, in a not caring way. Offered me a tasting but no food. Stay away from this woman and her restaurant. So many ways to make this work. read more

Angus and the crew are so great. love going here. definitely worth a visit. the wine tasting is fun but they specialize in getting you the exact wine for your taste buds. They have wine prices from low to high. SO lots of selection to choose from read more

Stopped to charge at the Tesla supercharger. Walked around the outdoor mall and stopped by this gem of a place. Met Z and a local usual, Terry. The wine was perfectly refreshing on this hot Oregon day and the bread and butter a perfect little snack before dinner. We had the New Zealand sauv blanc and Elk Grove Pinot noir. Excited to stop by again in the future whether it's a special trip down or another casual drop in on our way through town. Kudos to the wonderful staff even though we did not get the other two gentlemen's names. Warm smiles and good recommendations were given by all. read more

Terrible service... Went in to purchase and had some questions and was completely ignored by the gentlemen that works there. He was helping someone else so I patiently waited, not even a hello I'll be right with you then another customer came in and he helped her. read more

The Broadway is the best place to buy a nice bottle in the area. All of the staff is super knowledgeable and happy to introduce you to new bottles and from my experience they are hitting 100%. Staff have great personalities and are eager to teach about wines. We love to buy a bottle and pay the corking fee to drink in house ($10). Chease plate, salads and sandwiches are all great. read more

Well, understanding Oregon wine - especially my focus on Pinot Noir - can be daunting. Angus at BroadwayWine Merchants has been especially "the real-real" on clear and unambiguous discussion about Oregon vs World Pinot Noir love. I'm no novice when it comes to the rank/file/style of global PN production, but I can say w/ out equivocation that Angus can make a cogent pitch for a broad spectrum of O Pinots based on his ability to emote your expressed style preference. As a member of the Golden Gate Wine Society, I do hereby vouch for Angus' skill and veracity! read more

I found out about this place through a Yelp event. I had looked through their food menu and resolved to return to try it out. So I finally made it back and it was all fantastic! When you walk in, it actually feels more like a restaurant/cafe than a typical wine store. The menu was larger than I expected with many delicious sounding options (good descriptions). It was cold and rainy out, so the roasted garlic & tomato soup seemed like the perfect option. It came with some bread and did not disappoint at all! I also had their kale & quinoa salad ($12) which was mixed with all kinds of good healthy stuff and a creamy red-wine dressing. It was also excellent, and I would totally get it again. Not only that, they usually have a couple specials that rotate pretty often, and both the ones offered sounded so good and well-thought out. I'm excited to pop in again just to see what they have next. So next time you need to pick up a bottle of wine, bring your appetite as well, you won't be disappointed. read more

I'm remiss in not posting a review of this place sooner, luckily everybody else has already found it and agrees with me. It's a gem of variety & quality. I came here a couple of years ago for a yelp elite event and was impressed find my new favorite bottle shop. Although TBH I often buy my standard cheap wine at Trader Joe's, when I need a bottle of wine beyond the daily five dollar drinker this is the place to go. The staff are incredibly Knowledgeable and helpful in buying one of their affordable priced $10 bottles or One of those special occasion $60 bottles of champagne. Wherever you can come in here and try any number of their delightful options in person in there Barr! I'm still not really out and about Hello Covid yet, but as soon as I am- This is going to be my regular stop for happy hour. read more

I brought my friend here for her birthday. We had never been! The charcuterie platter was so delicious! We really enjoyed it! The server pared it with a beautiful rose for a hot day! It was delicious! The food was great the service was on point (or more than on point)! It was more than a delightful experience! Thank you! read more

Love the atmosphere, the wide variety of wine and the brunch is amazing!! I highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this neighborhood wine bar! I pass this spot every day and finally decided it was time to give it a try. While I didn't get to the food (which looked pretty enticing with charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and other finger foods) the wine was excellent! The staff were extremely helpful in helping us decide on a glass, and there was quite a selection of house wines and other specials to try. There is also a wine store within where you can buy a bottle to take home (mostly upper end on pricing, but there is also quite the $10 selection as well) or they will open it for you there for a $5 corking fee. It is a nice, intimate space with Sunday mimosas and brunches, a T.V with the game on, and a great place for conversation. There are also tables outside to sit and watch the Oakway passerby! They also have a wine club and always seems to have events going on. read more

Absolute trash. The guy with the gray hair is beyond rude, I sincerely hope others don't have to put up with his idiocy. Waited for nearly 10 minutes for anyone to really acknowledge us. The wine had 3 HAIRS IN THE GLASS. 10/10 WOULD NOT recommend if you want anything close to a nice time. read more

Had a very inappropriate experience here with a friend. We were enjoying a glass of house wine for $14, and decided to go on a walk to a store near by. We paid and didn't tip, HUGE mistake, the owner Angus followed us to the other store and asked us why we didn't tip. The wait staff was helpful, sure, but for the 2 hours we were there and the single glass of wine each didn't seem to deserve a tip. I felt ambushed at the opposing store and will not be going back, I'll tell all the people I know too. If you go, make sure there is a man's presence or you might be followed out. read more

Ai yai yai. First it was the Broadway Wine & Deli, then they added catering, then, a grocery store. But downtown Yewjean entered a freefall, and so they closed the grocery store, ended the deli, and now, sadly, the wine is gone as is the whole darn place. Boo. Don't get me started on the problems, perils, and politics of the DTE sitch. Suffice it to say, Broadway was one of the good ones. Back in the day, I could walk to work, fill my cup with organic joe for $0.75 at the Broadway, and pick up a tube of toothpaste at Tiffany's on the way home. I have to wonder when we ran Whole Foods out of town for fear of them "stealing customers" away from other, locally-owned businesses, did we really help things? Or, it is a classic case of cutting off our nose to spite our face? It doesn't matter, I suppose. We can cling to the hope of Voodoo, and a remodeled Centre Court building, and maybe, someday, we'll get the heart of the city back. When we do, I hope that the Broadway's a part of the renaissance. read more

I've not tried any of the food, it's probably decent. The wine selection. Top notch. They know what they are doing. They pack a lot into this little space, I could walk out with any bottle in there. The lady at the bar is great to talk to, and Angus is great. They will pick you out something good, and will pop it open and share it with you if you want. If I lived anywhere close, I would be a daily regular. I heart this place hard. read more

Such a great find! I no longer live on the West Coast, and places like this are one of the things I miss most. Broadway is a nice little wine shop where they also host monthly wine dinners and, I believe, Friday night wine tastings with appetizers and some food. They used to also serve meals (the french toast was so yummy!) and deli sandwiches, but they've downsized a little to ride out the recession. I just hope they bring some of the other things back in a few years! Anyway, they have a lot of interesting wines and the owner, Angus (co-owner, I think) is incredibly nice. He's very willing to give suggestions and recommendations for good/cheap wines. My parents are huge fans of this place, and we just held a dinner party there for my Dad's birthday. It went great! I can't believe how helpful everybody was, and the food was fantastic. I really have nothing but good things to say--stop by next time you're in downtown Eugene! read more

We stopped here last week after having dinner at Sabai with our friends. The girls wanted some wine, and we were up for a little brew. We got here around 7:30 and it was pretty busy. Most of the tables were taken and we were kinda standing around checking out the different wines they had on display. From what I noticed the bottles ran from $18 to $60+. The girls got a bottle and sipped it down while the 3 of us guys got a brew. We had Boneyard IPA. They had i believe 3 or 4 beers on tap. Kinda bummed me out....We sampled the cider which was supposed to be about 13% and it was bunk. A big hell no. The boneyard had a nice bite, with a clean after taste. The place looked really nice, I liked the set up. They had a cool bar with wine tops under a layer of glass, nice touch. I could see myself coming back more, but I would like a little bit more of a beer selection. I do understand its a wine shop, but a lil extra variety in the beer section couldn't hurt. None the less, we all enjoyed our drinks, it was fairly priced, and the gentleman working was very helpful and kind. For those of you who are bummed out about "The Broadway" that closed, this is the same joint, just a new location. read more

Shei Shei little spot in the downtown area. This snobby feeling wine bar/deli is delightful! The staff is actually nice, but sometimes the clientele shoot the evil eye to you because they feel you are invading their space as you shop for food. That is the one drawback, not much privacy to enjoy a good glass of vino and tasty morsels. They have a wonderful array of deli meats, cheeses and tasty tidbits. They carry a drink for everyone, from bottled waters, to juices, to microbrews and wine. During the Eugene Celebration parade, they have fresh pastries and coffee set up in the front, so you can grab the goods and find a spot to perch. read more

The Broadway has a nice little market, and the staff is comprised mostly of nice people who seem to be happy all the time, even if they can't pronounce the names of all the many cheeses. Surprisingly good (if predictably snooty) wine shop, and excellent food for a deli-type place. The soup, especially, is hard to beat (try the seafood bisque), and the small deli case packs a large selection of wonderfully inventive salads and entrees, with selections ranging from vegan pasta dishes to skewered dead animal. Good show for the most part: Stay clear of the risotto and "tandoori" (quotes added because I'd bet a paycheck there's no tandoori involved) dishes and you'll be golden. Downsides? The grocery selection is pretty slim at the Broadway, the produce tends to be rather forlorn-looking, and you have to check the pull dates and freshness on everything yourself - stock rotation is not a big strength, and I've gotten rotten stuff more than once. Prices are about what you might expect at a boutique-type place - it ain't Wal-Mart, thank God. And, if you want to nit-pick, the cook-type fella lacks people skills in a big way; he's brusque to customers and downright mean to his co-workers. Funny thing, though - I always smile and wave to him when I leave. The way I figure it, he's Eugene's answer to the Soup Nazi. read more

Spectacular customer service from staff that are knowledgeable but never patronizing, attentive but not pushy, and friendly but not cloying. I've thoroughly enjoyed all the recommendations I've received from Angus and his staff. Most importantly, the inviting atmosphere of the place offers a level of comfort that allows me to finally branch out and explore the world of wine without fear of judgment or condescension. read more

Friday night wine tasting is always very good and very popular. Arrive after 6 and you might have a hard time getting a table immediately, but there is plenty of room to stand and enjoy the tasting, and table turnover is frequent enough to get one with a short wait. The Broadway is the best deli in the downtown area, and they also feature an amazing selection of wines. Since I am not a wine person, I will tell you about the deli. They make the BEST sandwiches in the city, hands down. Edit: Early this year they removed their deli counter, much to my chagrin. They still make sandwiches in the back (thank the stars), but you can no longer parouse their selection of deli treats. They have moved them into a small section of their cooler, where you are forced to use their plastic containers, or not get any of their items. They lose 1 star for this poor judgment call. They took out the best feature of the place, and replaced it with yet more wine shelves. Bad call, Broadway!. They have regular wine tastings (every Friday from 5 to 8 pm), and although they have scaled back the grocery store aspect of the store, they still have a good selection of organic fruits and berries, cheeses, breads, and gourmet sweets. They also have a vast selection of teas, sodas, juices, and health drinks. They have a good selection of microbrews also. As I said, their main thing is wine. Most of the space is devoted to displaying that. A good place to go to grab a quick snack, or have lunch with a friend. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff too. :) Sadly this place went out of business. read more

First, The Broadway has an excellent wine selection, and the staff are quite knowledgable about wine (to be expected I suppose). I have been here twice, and am extremely disappointed with the service. The first time, we sat and were greeted quickly. We ordered food and a glass of wine. Everything was great until our wine, water and food were gone. We sat for 20 minutes with our empty food and wine vessels. I had to stand at the end of the bar for an additional 5 minutes to even get our bill. The second time we were there was unfortunately much the same. It appears to be an establishment that one must be a regular to receive good service. Overall, quite disappointed. Really too bad, as the owner is passionate about wine and his wine bar and is a very nice guy. read more
