I asked if arsenic, iron, heavy metals are removed from the unit, the 850 OD XP, a four tank system. He said yes, for sure. A neighbor recently had a system put in and before doing so, did get arsenic and iron in his sample. Afterwards he also got the same nominal number. He was not happy after the sales presentation. He asked for documentation from Kinetico and was told there was no such information. The items he asked for to be removed from the water required a different additional system. $5,000 for the softener. No price yet on the additional items since the system is already installed. Beware. Sales pitch means nothing. Who Do You Believe?

Our home warranty sent a plumber out, who I'll review separately, to diagnose and fix a basement…read morebathroom that stopped drawing. They said it was a mainline issue and we would have to find someone else. Based on Yelp reviews we called the Plumbing Doctor and had an appointment the next day. As it turns out the basement doesn't go to the mainline but goes through an ejector tank & pump up to the mainline. It took Dave about 3 minutes to diagnose the problem as a failed pump. He basically cleared the schedule the next day, had the pump replaced and we're back in business. Communicated through the whole process. Even though dealing with sewage in our basement the job was done spotlessly with a very thorough clean up. Pricing seems very reasonable though we didn't shop around. I'll give this locally owned small business a call every time and just skip my home warranty in the future. Much less headache for a reasonable price.

UPDATE JUNE 27TH:…read more Sir, you know very well that's not all you did, you guys demanded payment without even assessing my sink first. I HIGHLY doubt you do that when you visit your white client's homes. I was also very welcoming and friendly to both of you. If you guys don't want to work with non-white customers, just add a sign to your business that clearly states "WHITES ONLY". ------------------------------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW: I don't even know how to address this, but here it goes: Do you guys demand payment upfront before even assessing the clogs from ALL your clients? When I opened the door, both technicians looked at me up and down and asked first if it was an apartment and told me they couldn't work here, to which I asked "why tho?" And the sir replied "because you have to let property management know, who's gonna pay?" as if thinking we weren't paying? I mean that's exactly why we called you, because WE WANTED TO PAY TO FIX OUR PROBLEM. Then after telling them that we of course were paying (hello?), before even assessing the clog, payment was demanded, and they didn't start until payment was confirmed. The other guy wouldn't even acknowledge me or respond to me when I made him a direct question. I'm not calling it racism, but it very well felt like I was being racially profiled. Yes, they fixed the problem and I'm very thankful for that, but the experience was very awkward. If you guys tell me that's your MO with ALL your clients and you ask for the payment first before even starting, I'll consider editing rating and review.

Not only was the best price, but they have proven to me over the years that they are not just about $$. They have built some good ethos with me. This is my third time dealing with pure. The first time was a couple years ago when I asked them to come out and evaluate our water softener. We have well water, and when we purchased the house, we knew nothing about the water softener. The owner came out and told us we did not need a new water softener, and he spent about an hour showing us how to maintain and use the water softener. It's always a bonus when you're looking for a new water softener and the owner tells you...' as much as I'd like to sell you a new water softener, you don't need it'. The second time was two years later when I had them come out and service everything, changed the filters and all that stuff. This was a less than enjoyable experience. When the technician was done, my reverse osmosis spout would not turn off. It was doing fine before he arrived. I asked him about it, and he got defensive in a little bit short with me. He did replace the spout and didn't charge me for it. I called the business and told the owner the guy was a bit rude and short with me. Also, I felt I was being overcharged. The owner looked at the bill and said everything was on target and he said he never had an issue with that technician. Maybe he was just having a bad day. But the nice thing was, The owner did offer to reduce the service charge. I told him that if I was not overcharged, then no, I did not need a discount. But he offered, and that was important. So with the history, and the price I decided to use them and so far I'm very happy. After a few weeks, the sales person came out and checked the whole system and brought a few bags of complementary salt.

We scheduled a water…read morefilter replacement, and I was informed over the phone that the service fee was $140, plus the cost of the filter. Based on our prior experiences, we assumed they had increased the service fee from $99 to $140. Previously, we paid a total of $169 ($99 service fee + $70 for the filter), which included a courtesy system check as part of the $99 service call. Now, they've billed me $430--absolutely shocking and a complete rip-off. To make things worse, the filter costs less than $40 on Amazon. The new management was deceptive and not transparent during the call when we made the appointment. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I will no longer be using this company--scam - stay away from these people! There are other companies can come and help for lower price if you decide to change water filter or you can do it yourself. Will cost only less than $40 or the max $50.
