It isn't easy learning all the new things to owning a house. And I don't even really own the house. My mom is still the owner, but after dad's passing 2 years ago, I became head of her household. Thank goodness for David and Barbara at 5 star plumbing! I had a major clog in my kitchen/laundry room that was backing up into my sinks and flooding my laundry room. I reached out to them via Yelp and had a response from Barbara in 10 minutes. I called her and she was very empathetic and was able to schedule David for the next morning. David called before he came so I was able to explain the exact problem as well as talk to him about issues we were having with a bathroom. He arrived on time and immediately assessed the situation and got to work. 3 hours later the clog was history and my bathroom was fixed. David was kind and professional and explained everything. When presented with my bill, I felt it was extremely reasonable for the work that had been done. 5 Star Plumbing hasn't completed my repair and I am already so impressed. A few of the other companies could not get us till over a week. It was an emergency water leak from inside the wall. The water was leaking in the garage, bathroom, bedroom closet. 5 Star Plumbing made calls to move the schedule around to get one of their top guys to swing by home within the hour! They responded to EVERY call quickly and effectively. They arrived on time, communicated directly with my tenants and warranty company. They are coming out tomorrow morning again to complete the repair. (With this being a home warranty issue, they couldn't get approval to move forward during their first visit) They updated me thoroughly with possible service needs to repair the leak. I had some bad l luck with a couple of plumbers so, I was looking for somebody new to unclog my bath tub. I saw the excellent Reviews 5Star Plumbing received so, I decided to give them a try. That was my lucky day! Dave called to find out whether he could come a little earlier than scheduled and that was great. He found that my two bathrooms, divided by a wall, had tubs back-to-back and drained into the same pipe so, dirty water backed up into BOTH tubs... He wasted no time to unclog that pipe and cleaned up after himself - which was totally unexpected. He also, gave me a Senior discount without me asking for it! David to the rescue again! A few weeks ago, on a Friday night our water heater went to appliance heaven. I contacted 5 Star on Saturday but was told they were booked until Tuesday. Fair enough. We'd camp at home for a couple of days. We received a call on Tuesday that it would be Wednesday since the starter went out in Davids van. On Wednesday David showed up first thing on the morning and started removing the old heater. When he took the insulation off the heater there was a huge rusted hole in the side of it and paint was bubbling up from rust under the surface. The back seam of the heater looked like a tin can after you put an M80 in it. Don't ask me how I know this. He put the new one in and it looks and works wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better job. Our water heater flooded the garage on a Sunday morning. Using Yelp we reached out to a few plumbers. 5-Star Plumbing responded within 15 minutes, and provided an honest estimate. Dave was at our home within an hour. He is quite experienced, and worked efficiently. He removed the old water heater, installed a new one, and hauled away all debris, all within about 4+ hours. Despite this review being well overdue, it shouldn't take away from how great 5 Star Plumbing Services is! On August 1st, 2022, I came home and found water pooling in my crawl space due to what I thought was a broken pipe. I immediately shut off my water and started searching for plumbers. I started sending messages in the hopes someone would respond the next day to let me know their availability as I was without water and needed the issue fixed as soon as possible. To my surprise, shortly after sending an inquiry to 5 Star Plumbing Services, I received a text message response in which they asked me for more details and let me know they would have someone call me first thing in the morning to see what time they could come by. The next morning David and Barbara (both extremely kind people) called me and were able to fit me in the schedule for that afternoon. David arrived as scheduled and quickly identified the problem. Thankfully, it was not a broken pipe, rather a pressure relief valve (PRV) that needed to be replaced. David explained to me the issue and was up front and honest about all pricing. He had the replacement part on his truck and was able to fix it at that time. I was so grateful to have found an affordable plumber with great customer service. Without the prompt response of 5 Star Plumbing Services and their willingness to help me out immediately, I would have been without water a lot longer. I'm in a two story house. Water began dripping onto my breakfast bar and a large bubble developed in the ceiling with drip coming through it. I called 5 Star and got voicemail, leaving me wondering if I should call someone else. However, Barbara called me back in less than 20 minutes and apologized for having been on the phone. She had a technician who would be back in the office within the next few minutes and she would send him out. Within approximately an hour the technician was at my house and working. It required cutting two holes in my ceiling to find the problem. The pipe leak was in one spot but had run down to where the water broke through. The cuts were done neatly and everything underneath was covered in plastic for protection. The problem was some type of connecting piece where the shower drain hooked into main drain. The technician explained everything, replaced the piece and provided the broken piece to me. He even tried to find someone who could replace the dry wall, but that place was too busy. I do have someone who can do it. I'm very satisfied with the company. I was afraid I would be waiting for days unable to use any water upstairs. The cost was extremely reasonable and everyone courteous and professional. They advertise that all employees are vaccinated against COVID-19, very important to me. read more
