I found Lincoln Heating and Air through Yelp when I needed AC maintenance and tankless water-heater maintenance. Their excellent reviews and easy Yelp communication made them stand out. I could ask questions, get pricing and availability, and schedule my appointment without hassle. Tai was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He completed the AC maintenance, answered my questions, and explained what to look out for in the future. The office team also followed up promptly and let me know they offer tankless water-heater descaling and flushing, with clear upfront pricing. After contacting three other companies that would not quote pricing without a dispatch or diagnostic fee, I appreciated Lincoln's transparency. Great service and great people--I'm very happy I found them! read more

Went a whole week and a half without hearing from them after the initial visit. Had to call them twice to get an update. 2nd time I was given false information. Was told he'd be out today to fix the furnace. Get a call from the tech today and he hadn't even ordered the part yet. I told him to forget it, I would call someone else. Update: The Operations Manager called me and apologized. Made everything right very quickly. Changing my rating to 4 stars. read more

I was able to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. It was for my air conditioner that was still operable, and was in need of a tuneup. The company assigned a wonderful technician by the name of Mario. Originally, the appointment was for a tuneup, but ended up being a diagnostic due to Mario finding multiple issues. It was ascertained that my unit was the original air conditioner that was installed when the house was built 35 years ago. A second appointment was scheduled for a thorough cleaning, which may temporary alleviate part of the problems. The cleaning and adjustments did result in the output air raising 5-7°, depending on where the vent was located in the house. Although the unit is still functional, Mario gave me the bad news that my air conditioner was on borrowed time and he could not tell me how much longer it would last. It was like a doctor telling the 108 year-old terminally ill patient how long he would live. We ended up discussing the future purchase of a new unit, and the company has financing options available. All in all, the technician has a difficult job in rendering bad news to the customer. Mario was highly professional and did not "sugarcoat" the potential of the worst case scenario. He should be commended for a job well done. read more

Worst company ever to do business with. They come out for a service and want to get $2000 out of us for things that weren't necessary. Had another company come out and it cost $119 to get our heater going. Stay away from these crooks. read more

They were quick to respond and had an appointment within a couple days. They came for general annual maintenance for our heater and AC and gave us good tips on how to preserve our units. Very polite and professional and will use again. Price was reasonable as well. read more

When my HVAC quit working during the hottest day so far, I expected to wait quite awhile to get it repaired. I looked on Yelp for reviews and Lincoln Heating and Air had the highest rating. I could immediately understand why when I called to make an appointment. The lady on the phone was so sweet and kind and made an appointment for only two days after I called. I really appreciated the fact they sent an email that included a picture of the technician so I felt at ease. Travler Giamona was the technician they sent out and he was amazing. He was up front and honest with what was wrong and clearly knew what he was doing. While it was still expensive, it was nowhere near as much as I planned for. While I hope I don't need them any time soon, I would definitely use them again. read more

After I left my tearful review, the owner contacted me and apologized for all the difficulties we had experienced. He continued to follow up on my service twice a week and sent qualified and skillful technicians to continue the diagnostics and repair. Everyone was polite and considerate of the difficult situation we were experiencing. We did get things fixed. The owner continued to follow up with me for 3 weeks after the repairs to ensure that our air condition was functioning well. I do have a new respect for this company, the owner, and my wonderful technician. read more

Toooo Expensive. The quote was double the amount of what I go my AC installed for. Now I know how they pay for those expensive billboard on the street all over Reno. Got an quote from licensed local company which was litterly half of the price from Lincoln and got it installed. I am very happy with my install. BE AWARE and shop around before hiring this company. read more

Set an install for a mini-split for my garage. Date was set and I requested for sales to call me to provide me a quote. Home was already set up for the install, new mini-split in the box waiting, 220V power ran by the home builder, everything ready to go for installation. No communication from this company at all. No calls, no emails. I called today to get the estimate and then was told that the date that I set up for the installtion was going to be used for a quote. Then I was told that they will not install a mini split that was not purchased through them. The lack of communication is a true issue here. I will never use this company, nor ever speak their name to others looking for a quality HVAC company. read more

I'm so glad we made the choice to call Lincoln Heating & Air! We had an issue with our heater, though it resolved when my husband reset the breaker. We called and even though it wasn't an emergency, they came out the next day. The lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. They gave us a 12-4 window. Alex called at about 12:30 and said he would be here at 12:50. He was right on time, was very friendly, and considerate of our home. We had called this morning to ask that they also service the air conditioner while he was here. He did both, and explained what he was doing and issues he found. We were very happy with Alex, and will be requesting him for our next service. read more

0 stars if I could. Honestly disappointed. Our AC broke so we called Lincoln Heating & Air, they had a tech come out, young blonde guy, he quoted us $3,500 for a fan motor. I was caught off guard and called someone else for a 2nd opinion, they came out same day, fixed it an hour, only was $1,000. I would avoid using Lincoln. Clearly commission is more important than integrity and honesty. read more

We called Lincoln on Saturday, June 13 because our air conditioner stopped blowing cool air. My husband just had surgery and was unable to troubleshoot the issue himself. The technician came out that same day, which we really appreciated, and the tech was very polite. He figured out the problem within 5 minutes, and was able to replace the bad capacitor. The only issue we have with the service was that he charged us $583 for a part that we later found on Amazon for $117.....it was the exact same part number and manufacturer. I understand a markup on parts.... we feel that double the price would have been fair, however 5 times the retail price is simply gouging. We will not use this company again. read more

I just got off the phone with Kenneth, the General Manager at Lincoln Heating and Air, regarding my previous negative review of a recent sales call. Kenneth took the time to explain the process their technicians are expected to follow, including documenting the repairs performed and thoroughly reviewing any recommendations with the customer. In my case, that procedure was not followed. I understand that no business is perfect and that mistakes can happen. What truly stands out is how a company responds when they do. Kenneth acknowledged the mistake, offered a sincere apology, and did so without making excuses. That level of accountability speaks volumes about the character and professionalism of the business. Thank you, Kenneth, for taking the time to call me personally and address my concerns. It is greatly appreciated. read more

It took 3 days to get on the schedule. They installed a capacitor that took 10 minutes ( the exact capacitor costs $15.31 on Amazon) they charged me $386 to install the capacitor. I feel like it's kinda rare to be super happy to do business with a company - but here we are. :) Their office staff was super nice and helpful, and their tech Philip was really above and beyond. An emergency call out to my rental property ending in $700. The charge $500 for install of a $25 battery operated thermostat.

3 stars because they got the job done but were very expensive. My blower motor died and needed to be replaced. The technician, Houston, arrived on time, was friendly, and quickly diagnosed the problem. He replaced the motor in a couple hours and also installed a new thermostat free of charge. Overall, I have no gripes with the technician or the work done. My heartburn is over the $1700 charge. It seemed like a lot so afterwards, I looked up the cost of the OEM blower motor and found it to run $300. That means the labor cost was roughly $1400 for a couple hours of work. There was no crawling under the house or up in the attic, everything was accessible in the garage at chest height... that seems really excessive. I did get 10% off for signing up for a furnace maintenance which helped a little. I called the following business day and inquired about the invoice and about the cost breakdown between parts and labor. I was told it wasn't available as they bill a flat fee for service. I asked what the fee was for replacing a blower motor and they said that they didn't have the info but could have the technician call me to discuss it. My bad for not asking more questions up front but I assumed the emailed invoice would provide a better breakdown. Yes, these guys get the job done but be aware they're very expensive. Some other folks I've spoken with since then have paid about half as much for the same work. I wasn't going to leave a review but they texted me twice after the service asking for one so here it is. read more

We had a great visit from David Quirk of Lincoln Heating & Air recently, for an estimate on a new heat pump and furnace. David provided the first of multiple estimates that we ended up getting over the course of a few days, and he set a very high bar, taking his time to inspect not just our existing furnace and A/C but also each of our vents around the house to make sure he was recommending a new matched system that would be adequate and not overkill (or underkill) for our house. The options he provided were among the lowest prices of all the estimates we got, for very solid-quality Rheem systems. In addition, being a local family-owned business with many years of service, Lincoln has a fantastic reputation and has great warranties behind their work. While we haven't made a final decision yet, we wanted to leave a review noting how great of job David did representing the company and how impressed we were overall with what Lincoln has to offer. read more

I absolutely will only be using this company from now on. Their customer service is on top of all other companies. Fast and reliable with trusted service. I heard Lincoln Heating and Air advertised on the radio with their slogan about "making every penny count," so I contacted them when my home started smelling like burnt wiring coming through the heating vents. At the time, I was at work, and my wife was the one home during the appointment. The technician who came out was unable to identify the source of the issue, even though the burning smell was still present. Instead of focusing on diagnosing the problem, he told my wife that he wasn't hired for his HVAC expertise, but for his ability to sell. He repeatedly tried to upsell services that didn't address the issue, including replacing flame sensors for an added cost, and even quoted $1,800 for a motor he claimed was going out. The sales pressure was persistent and frustrating, especially after my wife declined multiple times. What's most concerning is that I was later able to identify the issue myself after I got home something the technician completely missed while trying to sell unnecessary repairs. ($10 dollar part btw) For a company that advertises saving customers money, this experience felt like the exact opposite. I would not recommend using their services. read more

my 8 y/o heater and a/c split system stopped working, I called them and a Very Nice young man showed up, checked out the system and told me the control unit was bad, I asked how much they were and he told me a generic one was around $200 but the Company would have to send me an estimate before he could order it. They sent me an estimate for $2500 for the control board and another $500 for a new transformer! I got the part numbers and bought them on EBAY, $90 for the control board and $20 for the transformer. I replaced them myself in about 30 minutes and the unit still did not work. I did some research and found that the condenser pan has a float switch that was bad, $20, VERY simple to replace. This was the problem the whole time. I credit You tube for saving me a lot of $$. read more

All I got was a quote (that I paid for) which was near 3x the company i went with. They would not provide a parts cost and labor hour estimate and instead only came up an astronomical cost for what I later learned was a very quick job with an inexpensive part. I contacted them due to the yelp reviews looking good, but this was not at all my experience. I felt very frustrated and frankly offended with the process. I actually wonder where their high Yelp rating has come from. All I can say is at the very least get another quote so you do not fall victim. Update: Regarding the response from Lincoln. I asked for labor hours and parts quote to justify the huge estimate I received. They of course refused to provide this because it would have shown an hourly labor rate approaching 1000 dollars. I notified them that their quote was way out of line with another HVAC provider and there was no response from them. There was no misunderstanding on their part, just an extremely overinflated quote. read more

Lincoln performed a routine annual springtime service checkup on my Furnace/A-C system. The service appeared to be competent, but the price gouging was startling. They told me they charge $125 for such a service, but once completed they charged me double with the excuse that I had only asked for the A/C to be checked, and they checked the furnace as well which was a separate $125 charge. Obviously, the Furnace and A/C is an integrated system so there was no honest basis for the additional charge, and they failed to let me know that this was their business practice. Even the $125 was grossly excessive. I saw, too late, a company that offered this service for a $60 flat rate. I certainly will do my homework next year, and will not be using Lincoln. read more

I was trying to schedule an A/C Maintenance Service and getting nowere so since I live and work in Sparks I made a decision to keep it local and support a local business and called Lincoln Heating and Air on a Monday. I was able to schedule a service call the same week on Friday. The communications with Lincoln was fast and clear. The service tech, Dylan Baker, called and actually showed up early. His explanation of what was happening was clear and to the point. Dylan asked several times if I had any questions and gave me a complete verbal report of the condition of my system and was respectful the entire time. When the time comes to service my furnace I will be calling Lincoln. From one veteran to another veteran, Well Done Dylan. read more

I will certainly be using Lincoln Heating and Air for my HVAC needs from now on. I've used others in the area but I received the best service from Lincoln by far. I called for a check up for my AC.We had no issues other than noticing a rust color from a venting tube outside our home so this was more of a preemptive check up. I made an appointment for Friday, but they notified me they had an open spot on Thursday. They sent their tech Houston Coffman for the job. He was an excellent tech who was very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. He checked everything that needed to be checked and quickly diagnosed the issue. He didn't use pressure or scare tactics like other companies might do. Yes the HVAC does need to be replaced, but he didn't try to scare us into purchasing one immediately. He let me know it is a matter of time but didn't pressure me into making a brash decision. He even washed our AC unit outside. With a pretty cool tool btw. They're lucky to have him as an employee. I definitely recommend them. read more

They were very easy to work with. Initial outreach was through Yelp and from there we sent a couple messages then I gave them a call to finally schedule. Eric did a great job with my carpet cleaning, he was a very nice guy and even gave me a discount. Thank you!

Be warned! Shady tech unfortunately is a poor reflection I'm sure, of the company - Swapped out our thermostat for an older model. We had an issue where our main thermostat (located in the living room) would click on for heating but the heater would not actually go off and when we turned it off, the AC would kick on so we called Lincoln Heating to come check out the problem. It turns out the issue wasn't with the thermostat but with an accessory that communicates between the thermostat and furnace, which ended up costing us $1.5k. (Online the board sell for a couple hundred) Long story short, the problem is how shady our tech Phil was. To get to the furnace, he had to go through our master room and he had swapped out our thermostat in that room - even though he had no reason to touch that thermostat. Luckily, my husband noticed the subtle difference in the model because the setting options were different and ours had pro series printed on the bottom. We called the company and they didn't know why it was switched out either so the supervisor said he would order an equivalent model to our original one and replace it. But they also didn't seem to believe us. Fortunately, we had taken photos and a video of our home when we closed and it shows what the original thermostat looked like. read more

Do not use this company! They cost me a couple thousand dollars due to a miss diagnosis on my furnace a couple years ago, I was still using them for my AC units they installed, however I scheduled an appointment about 10 days in advance to have the AC units serviced, received multiple notices from them about the appointment on Wednesday between 8 to noon. I receive a call from them at 11:30 that they need to reschedule due that I did not confirm prior to the appointment and they would like to reschedule at a time that was more convenient to them. The longer I stayed with them the worse they got. A piss poor way to run a business! I forgot to add last fall when they serviced my furnace the tech implied he thought the filter bowl was leaking and would provide a quote to replace. Quote was for $600. I found the exact same filter bowl on Amazon for $38 it took me about 30-40 minutes to replace and bleed the air out of the fuel line. The reason it was leaking the gasket that was supposed to be under the lid was wadded in with the filter and not between the bowl and lid. Was this ignorance or sabotage. You decide! read more
