I cannot recommend Ross Heating and Air Conditioning enough. We received 3 estimates from 3 different places, and not only did Ross promote a price that fit within what we were willing to pay, they demonstrated care and urgency as well as knowledge in replacing our furnace and HVAC system. Shoutout to Frank and Rodrigo, as well as the office administrator who originally fielded my call: they sent Frank out same-day to inspect our situation (which other places were quoting days to weeks out), and Frank was responsive and offered to even come early if I needed him to! He gained trust fast and offered to continue to answer questions over text if needed beyond the estimate appointment. He gave me details on what kinds of systems to look for, even if we didn't choose Ross for the service! Then, when we chose Ross, they scheduled the replacement FAST with us which was important not to have to wait weeks for our A/C to be working again. Rodrigo and team who came out to complete the replacement were fast, efficient and so friendly! They demonstrated care and kindness the entire time, truly above and beyond customer service. When we discovered the next day we needed our pilot light relit, we texted Frank who then sent Rodrigo same day to get that corrected - just incredible and top notch service from start to finish! I think I found Ross on Yelp when we were already booking estimates with two other "well-marketed" Heating and Air companies in the area...think about two that you see, hear, get mailers and see billboards all over the place...I am so appreciative for Ross and their entire team! After getting my AC serviced this Spring in preparation for summer I was given the news no home owner wants to hear. Your unit needs to be replaced. Freon was leaking and since my unit was 24 yrs old and the Freon used for my model was no longer available. This is totally understandable and I knew this day was coming. I naturally got a quote for replacement for my AC unit as well as my furnace, because my furnace was needing to be replaced as well within the next year or two so I decided I was likely going to do both at once to save me a headache in a year or two. For the record, Ross H&A was not the company who did my maintenance. Ross Heating and Air was the last estimate I got and I could not have been more impressed with everything they presented. They made the decision easy. They were honest, fair, and local. About 10 days later everything was replaced and looked great. And to put a bow on this that eas done, when the city inspector came to inspect the work he even mentioned that Ross does great works. Outstanding! From the moment I called and spoke with Kimberly setup the appointment with Frank everything worked out perfectly. I woke up to no heat this morning and after I checked my thermostat, furnace and my breaker I was immediately filled with dread! Did my ancient furnace finally poop out on me.. They charged me $500 to install a programmable thermostat in August including a diagonstic. Now that we have colder evenings, the heat doesn't work, and they want to charge me a service fee. "It was too hot out to test the heater" was their response. Balony. By the way, Nevada Energy offers free thermostats or programable for $109. Lesson learned. read more

I was able to reach a live person easily, book an appointment within a few days and receive a confirmation, so my experience started well. The service person showed up on time and was quickly able to go into the attic and look at the furnace. Inhad a damper box malfunction. The repair person quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired the unit on site, no extra parts or delays to finish. He was very thorough and I was happy to have a working furnace again (it was snowing outside at the time) for a very reasonable fee. Issue from previous visit continued. The eventual root cause was mentioned by technician on initial visit. Dustin came out and confirmed a part would be needed. No charge for follow up. When part arrived, he came out and replaced the part and confirmed issue was resolved. Based on age of unit, Dustin explained issues that may have lead to this repair being needed. He did a quick inspection, showing me areas of concern and explained why they could lead to this unit failing including the possibility of carbon monoxide leaking into our home. He further explained that repair wouldn't be a cost-effective option in that case and a new unit would be the best and safest route in the near future. We will be scheduling a follow up with Ross to come out to estimate cost to replace the unit. read more

Dustin was on time and worked on my 2 AC units which are close to 30 years old. Cleaned, maintained, and tested for the summer! He did suggest a compressor hard start kit to lengthen the life of the units - which will be VERY expensive when replaced. Tested the temperature coming through the ducts around the house. Great experience from start to finish. Scheduling was easy. A scheduler picked up right away and I didn't have to punch in a bunch of codes on a phone menu. Really wonderful company to work with. We recently converted from an oil furnace to a gas hvac unit and installed AC in our house. Our heater worked great through the winter, but we were unable to test the AC until outside temps reached mid-60s. When we finally had a warm enough day in the spring and turned on the AC... nothing happened. We called Ross and they had a technician out about 2 weeks later. Steven was our technician and quickly identified the issue, fixed the problem, and gave us great guidance on our unit, care, and other tips. 5 months ago I left a good review and stand by my review even today. Unfortunately just yesterday our air conditioning stopped cooling. We panicked with thinking Sept. usually a very hot month.
