Cool Breeze had some very high bars to live up to, and they knocked it out of the park. We had called them out for an estimate to replace our furnace and A/C with a new furnace and heat pump, and they were following some other companies that did a fantastic job both with the assessment and the solutions they offered. Anthony from Cool Breeze came in and immediately went the extra mile, not only checking out our existing units but also taking the time to go up into our attic (very hard to get to) and down into our crawl space to make sure that any new equipment we bought wouldn't be compromised by bad insulation or ducting. We were immediately impressed with the effort and with the clarity of the info he provided, and he also had a very easygoing manner that made us feel comfortable/unpressured in considering the options Cool Breeze presented. After Anthony's on-site assessment, we spoke with James at the main office, who took a ton of time providing us with very clear and sensible options. We had a bunch of follow-up questions, and he handled them all thoroughly, taking the time after hours to provide additional estimates and helping us make sure we were making the best possible choice. While we haven't made a final decision yet, we were very impressed with how Cool Breeze presented themselves and how knowledgeable they were. Waste of time and outrageously high priced. They canceled our first appointment 20 minutes before they were to be at my house. The 2nd appointment they came charged me $89.00 and did nothing but look at my mini split, and told me they didn't have any Freon with them. They were going to get back to me an estimate and after 10days I called them and a day later they came back and did a pressure test in my lines. They said it had a pen hole and would get back to with a repair price that bill was $311.00!! Again I had to call them to get an estaminet. The next day they said it would be $8,700 because I needed a whole new mini-split! I called four other companies and they all were $2,000 or more CHEAPER! read more

He drafted a quote that was not only better but lower in cost than them all. Once I accepted the bid, the installation was in one day. He was professional and courteous. He cleaned our furnace, changed our filters, and showed us how to replace the batteries in our thermostats. Nothing sucks more than having your AC quit in the middle of a 105 degree heatwave! I called Sierra Air first, but it was going to take them 5 days to come out and diagnose the issue. No can do. I called Cool Breeze and they squeezed me in the same day I called AND fixed the issue! Turns out my 22 year-old furnace had a filthy motor (apparently we are supposed to do an annual maintenance - lesson learned). And while we will save up for the full replacement that is bound to happen soon, Jacob fixed the motor within an hour. We had them out to give us a quote on a whole house humidifier. They came out and looked at our place and told us about their product and said they could do it. He wanted to have his guy come out and see where they would install the unit. Well that was the last time we heard from him. I then called the office and asked for him to call me and she said he would. Again, he never called. We were ready to do the job and now I'm glad we didn't as if this is the kind of service we would have received it might have turned into a nightmare. Quoted over $300 to install two smart thermostats. The thermostats were already purchased so quote was on the high side and then the night before service they called and said they misquoted and the install would be over $600 for a job that would take an hour at most. Dear Ricky, the job done on-site was not a 3-hour job. 1st job took 45mins and the 2nd job for the pan install was 10 mins at most. if your tech claims it took more than 10 mins then you should check up on his performance. also Sir your tech told me I would get an email for the pan installation quote. i didn't realize i had signed for the pan installation. but what's done is done now but I would like you to please post the invoice under my review so other businesses can see how your company charges. read more

I've been using Cool Breeze for 20+ years and have always had a good experience with them. I have a service contract for them to clean my AC unit twice a year. The scheduling process is easy and the service techs always show up on time and are knowledgeable and thorough. Last year I finally needed a new AC unit. Vincent Ferrer, who I call my AC guru, hooked me up with a great unit - It's quiet and cooler than my old one. Since moving to South Lake Tahoe in October it wasn't long before we were slammed with lots of snow & harsh weather. immediately our HVAC heater began failing. Turns out the unit was left in disrepair, unsafe, red flagged and because of neglect it had to be replaced. It was exuding Carbon Monoxide in our home. Written documentation & 2 companies certifying it red flagged, dangerous & inoperable for safety reasons. Nice previous owner to leave it in disrepair and unsafe to run. Not Cool Irresponsible for others well being. This nightmare quickly turned around after 6 weeks of repairs & testing. the HVAC constantly failing due to many safety issues especially making us sick, nauseous, not well because of the carbon monoxide in our home. Cool Breeze came to the rescue with a warning that it needed replacing due to carbon monoxide poisoning and unrepairable due to lack of neglect and maintenance. Red Flagged UNSAFE. He was able to locate a beautiful, reliable, cost efficient HVAC heater brand new system within 2 days! The best friendliest customer service manager and installer showed up today early to install our new heater HVAC. I would've loved to leave a great review, however, we had two appointments with them for a service call for the summer and both times they cancelled. Our first appointment was scheduled for June 5, 2023 - they called and said the technician hurt his back. I'm always suspicious when a business calls to cancel on a Friday or a Monday (thinking 'long weekend?'), but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for today, June 13, 2023, from 10-noon. They texted yesterday and asked if it could be changed to 2pm-4pm (sure, no problem). Today comes and guess what? They wanted to reschedule because of weather. No rain here - just thunder. I went to cool breeze to have a refrigerator repaired inside of my food truck. Owner of the business said it was the compressor after 6 hours I went back to pick up trailer. They told me then that they had to "wire around my mother board. This being the busiest time of the year for me I said ok as long as it works he says yep works great. Notttt as soon as I got refrigerator home plugged everything in it stopped working. Upon further inspection I the whole inside had been butchered wires cut everywhere not to mention a hole drilled in the top of my refrigerator metal shavings everywhere. When I contacted owner he acted like it was no big deal he said i don't know it worked when you left here! Such a joke!! 3 weeks later still trying to get what he did fixed and come to find out his business license is suspended. Worst "repair man " ever!! read more

I've used this company twice now and both times they were slow to respond. I started having problems with my walk in cooler and they sent out a tech guy within a couple of days. They are never in a hurry to get to you. He said that the unit needed to be charged and looked for leaks but only found a "few hits" around some flanges. Their repair only lasted a month and when I called to have them come back out, they told me they would call me in 5 days because of the holiday. Since that was not acceptable I called a gentleman in Quincy who has been doing this for 20+ years and he came out immediately. He told us that it is common on an older unit for the sight glass to develop a small leak and the Cool breeze guy should have caught that. He replaced the sight glass, recharged the unit and I have had no problems since. Cool Breeze refused to guarantee or warranty their work. They have certainly lost my business and I've spread the news here in town to beware of their service. Their techs are younger kids that don't have the experience to do the job right the first time. read more

Fantastic Company! Highly Recomend! We have used them several times for regular air conditioning issues that were handled professionally and at a good cost. Then we had our industrial walk in freezer stop working at 7:00 a.m. on a Saturday. I called and actually talked to a person. We had a tech on site fixing the problem in less than an hour.
