Jorge checked the vent from outside the house, explaining what he was seeing as he cleared out whatever he could find. Since that didn't fix the dryer issue, the dryer company sent out a (pretty lazy) service person, who took a brief look and said it was still the vent. Jorge offered to come back and take another look, even going down in the crawl space to disassemble and reassemble the dryer vent to see what else he could find. Nothing. It's actually the dryer that has a wonky sensor--thanks to Jorge's genial hard work, we now know this definitively. Thanks guys. Highly recommend this pleasant and professional service team, and will work with them again.

THey took advantage of installing when I wasn't there to not finish the job, hoping I wouldn't test it out till summer.

The AC had worked before but after doing something with the cover, the AC stopped working. Chris quickly found the problem (a fuse had blown out). Chris was very professional, gave me some ideas on a Honeywell thermostat (we're not BIG fans of the new NEST thermostat), showed me how to read the error codes on our furnace (watch the number of red light flashes and compare it to the brochure left with the furnace). It was easy, peasy, even someone like me who has no HVAC experience could do this. I can't thank Chris enough for his great personality, true professionalism, answered my questions, taught me a few things (learning something new is always good) and even loved on my 2 labs (turns out we both love animals). They then would not certify that my AC unit was working correctly. Within an hour of departure the unit stopped working. They sent same man back that evening, he got it to work then an hour later, no longer working. Next they sent someone else out who said it just had to be our breaker which I doubted. Still I updated new breaker and the AC unit stopped working again. I have asked to speak to manager. The operator takes my messages and I have never received a returned calls, two weeks later still no call. They were suppose to send out an emergency tech. No one has showed up. Called and couldn't get any response other than the woman who answer phone. What a joke. **Update** I am revising my score. I finally received a phone call this morning to discuss my situation and we agreed on the next steps. They were very apologetic but its sad it had to come to this to get a response.

Why mess around with the corporate guys who are incentivized to upsell? In my opinion everyone should get on his surveillance program where he comes out changes out your filters and assesses the HVAC system and so you at least have a heads up when you need repairs or change out the whole system. At least this way you can save up and plan ahead instead of waiting for a disaster to occur. Give him a call. I'm so glad I met him and he's there to be the go to guy to tackle any HVAC issues. Showed up for estimate exactly when he said he would. Having spent many years as a Field Engineer rescuing mission-critical computer systems, I know how vital good communication is to a frustrated end-user. For us, calling the customer within a half-hour was Job 1, and there is where Ernie shines. Never at any moment was I left wondering the why, how or what he was doing. His nearly 20 years experience was clearly evident as he quickly sized up what needed to be done, ordering all the parts and equipment. He was here at exactly 8:00 AM on the scheduled day. He kept me apprised of his progress every step of the way; politely answering all my nagging questions. He works quickly and efficiently. A sizable Investment, but Ernie's bright attitude and old-school work ethic was very reassuring. I'd decided to have him replace both AC and Heater, replacing it all at once; it is a lot of work; very physical; inside, outside - with a lot of time spent under the house. A truckload of special tools, electrical, wiring, plumbing, gas, telephone lines-and much more, but he made it all look easy. On observing all that he was able to accomplish, the price tag was never an issue. There was a problem with the crossover duct under the house (mine is a Manufactured Home), that he also replaced with a mouse proof, better insulated, replacement that along with the new install will make a marked improvement in heating and cooling efficiency. A major upgrade and renovation. I anticipate saving on my Electric Bill. Also, peeking over his shoulder, I learned a lot that I didn't know. I could see how much better quality was his work to what had been originally installed. Much better insulation and wiring, neater layout; "the whole nine yards." Upon seeing how deteriorated and rundown my old AC had gotten, I then wished it had broken 5 years ago. Also, that yearly maintenance is well worth the cost. Needless to say, I'm super-impressed! Surely, there are a lot of experienced and capable folks in this field, but nothing instills confidence, or is more gratifying, than a workman who shows respect (to those upon whom his livelihood depends), by being honest, direct and punctual. This is where many in the Service Industry fail, and is a major cause of complaints. Ernie doesn't work for a Company-as you will see, he works for you. He is very busy, but compensates by working fast. He doesn't mess around. I've been in the service industry for fifty years and E. Salazar is among the very best. A rare occurrence, that he exceeded my expectations. His pricing is competitive, not cheap, but you'll get what you paid for. A simple formula: honesty, integrity-say exactly what you will do, then do it!

Jordan, our technician, called before heading over. He was professional and courteous. Went through his inspection and notified us about a failing condenser fan motor and the cost of the repair. He quickly replaced the part and sent us a copy of our invoice plus a detailed report of his visit including pictures. Our experience was far from the peace of mind promised by the company's slogan, and the consequences of the oversights during our inspection have been costly, frustrating, and stressful. 1. Incomplete Attic Inspection Mr. Neumark failed to inspect the attic entirely because the entrance was located above the washer and dryer in the laundry room. Although the current homeowners gave full consent to move the units--an easy task requiring no more than shifting them five inches--Mr. Neumark refused. Our realtor ultimately moved them without issue, but only after we insisted that the attic be inspected. Even then, the inspector was visibly annoyed that we requested he complete the job. 2. Rodent Infestation Overlooked Despite noting droppings in the garage, Mr. Neumark inaccurately concluded they were old and that there was no active infestation. Within 24 hours of moving in, we discovered a live family of mice in the garage. Additionally, there were mouse droppings in the attic--completely omitted from his report--confirming an active and ongoing rodent problem that should not have been missed. 3. Bathtub Leak Ignored The secondary bathroom's bathtub leaked significantly the first time we used it, causing water damage to the floor. The inspector claimed he could not properly assess it for fear of damaging the facade. However, upon closer inspection, we found it was secured by only six easily removable screws. It took us less than a minute to confirm the leak ourselves. This lack of effort was inexcusable. 4. Structural Oversight A large, gaping hole--about the size of a football--was left unnoticed under the eaves near the back patio door. Nesting birds, feathers, and debris made it clear this had been an ongoing issue, yet it was not mentioned in the report. This type of structural vulnerability should have been immediately flagged by any qualified inspector. 5. Incorrect and Costly Radon Advice We were incorrectly advised that installing a vapor barrier in our crawl space would resolve elevated radon levels. Based on this recommendation, we paid $1,200 to a local pest control company--only to find out it did nothing to fix the issue. A professional radon specialist later explained that proper ventilation is required, which cost us nearly $5,000. This misinformation was both costly and dangerous. Conclusion The inspection felt rushed and careless. Critical issues that any competent home inspector should have identified were either ignored or misdiagnosed. The inspector appeared more interested in finishing quickly than in ensuring our home was safe and sound. We strongly caution others against using TEK Inspections. In our opinion, this company is not committed to its slogan or to providing the level of diligence and professionalism that homebuyers deserve.

Ty arrived on site at the appointed time and inspected the home systems thoroughly during the builder-limited 3 hour window. The inspection included IR inspection of appliances, drone inspection of the roof (since developer denied physical access), and physical inspection of crawl and attic spaces. Ty's report was available in less than 24 hours. The report included photos of every nook and cranny inspected, indications of proper and deficient findings, as well recommendations for deficient findings. Recommended.

They arrived on time and got right to work, bringing in their equipment carefully and putting corner guards in place throughout the house. One of the first things I noticed was the pleasant scent - it is very light and does not smell like chemicals. My usual preference is for no scent, but I found myself preferring this delicate scent. They were efficient and quick (but not too quick!), and the carpets looked very clean when they were through. The price is one of the most reasonable I have found in Reno and includes a military discount (thank you, Zach, for your patriotism!). Fresh Start is fairly new to our area, but not new to the business of cleaning flooring. We look forward to trying their tile cleaning service next. One of the worst companies we have had work on our commercial equipment in the 12 years we have been in business. Payed them over $6,000. Two of the three coolers they worked on 6 months ago are down again with the same problems they "fixed." One of which they came back to fix a warranty issue and charged me for labor once again. Labor means one tech will come do the work and the other will stand there, do nothing, but you're paying for both. Now same unit is down. This story goes on and on with this company spanning back two years. Nothing gets fixed the right way and they won't guarantee their work. I hate leaving bad reviews because it's tough to run a business but these guys shouldn't be in business for the way they treat people. Read the other reviews. It's a constant with them. Harlen, the service manager, was very very rude when I talked to him about our bill and fixing the problem. Terrible, terrible, terrible experience!!!! Stay away read more

Chris was very professional, gave me some ideas on a Honeywell thermostat (we're not BIG fans of the new NEST thermostat), showed me how to read the error codes on our furnace (watch the number of red light flashes and compare it to the brochure left with the furnace). It was easy, peasy, even someone like me who has no HVAC experience could do this. I can't thank Chris enough for his great personality, true professionalism, answered my questions, taught me a few things (learning something new is always good) and even loved on my 2 labs (turns out we both love animals). They then would not certify that my AC unit was working correctly. Within an hour of departure the unit stopped working. They sent same man back that evening, he got it to work then an hour later, no longer working. Next they sent someone else out who said it just had to be our breaker which I doubted. Still I updated new breaker and the AC unit stopped working again. I have asked to speak to manager. The operator takes my messages and I have never received a returned calls, two weeks later still no call. They were suppose to send out an emergency tech. No one has showed up. Called and couldn't get any response other than the woman who answer phone. What a joke. **Update** I am revising my score. I finally received a phone call this morning to discuss my situation and we agreed on the next steps. They were very apologetic but its sad it had to come to this to get a response.

Not something we wanted to hear since our son will be renting this home from us. The service tech was on time and gave us notice of his pending arrival. He was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. We found out about this company from our neighbors who have used them for years. We decided to give them a try after we found other companies were always booked out, especially for repairs. When your Air or Heat goes out you need it fast, not days away. They yearly service program but I don't like to be tied in because things can change and if I am unhappy I want to use someone else. Over-all, good experience.

Shoutout to Frank and Rodrigo, as well as the office administrator who originally fielded my call: they sent Frank out same-day to inspect our situation (which other places were quoting days to weeks out), and Frank was responsive and offered to even come early if I needed him to! He gained trust fast and offered to continue to answer questions over text if needed beyond the estimate appointment. He gave me details on what kinds of systems to look for, even if we didn't choose Ross for the service! Then, when we chose Ross, they scheduled the replacement FAST with us which was important not to have to wait weeks for our A/C to be working again. Rodrigo and team who came out to complete the replacement were fast, efficient and so friendly! They demonstrated care and kindness the entire time, truly above and beyond customer service. When we discovered the next day we needed our pilot light relit, we texted Frank who then sent Rodrigo same day to get that corrected - just incredible and top notch service from start to finish! Freon was leaking and since my unit was 24 yrs old and the Freon used for my model was no longer available. This is totally understandable and I knew this day was coming. I naturally got a quote for replacement for my AC unit as well as my furnace, because my furnace was needing to be replaced as well within the next year or two so I decided I was likely going to do both at once to save me a headache in a year or two. For the record, Ross H&A was not the company who did my maintenance. Ross Heating and Air was the last estimate I got and I could not have been more impressed with everything they presented. They made the decision easy. They were honest, fair, and local. About 10 days later everything was replaced and looked great. And to put a bow on this that eas done, when the city inspector came to inspect the work he even mentioned that Ross does great works. Make this company your go to for all things heating and air.

Was able to give me a booking window two weeks out and details on their maintenance program. $248 a year for their program which includes two maintenance visits per year--one in the spring for our A/C system and one in the fall for our furnace. Jordan, our technician, called before heading over. He was professional and courteous. Went through his inspection and notified us about a failing condenser fan motor and the cost of the repair. He quickly replaced the part and sent us a copy of our invoice plus a detailed report of his visit including pictures. I called first thing the next morning but was advised they were booked all day. However Craig, the owner found a way to work us in by 1100 am.
