Decided to branch out from the tradition locations while visiting Rogers, AR. A colleague and I were immediately concerned when we arrived at 6pm on a Tuesday and were immediately sat and one of only a handful of people in the place. The décor is not suited for the audience that is their core market (business travelers) it is more suited for date night, dark with very high and private booth seating. The food is moderately priced for the area and was equivalent in quality. Overall this is a neat place to eat if you are tired of the traditional locations while in Rogers. read more

I've also eaten dinner here about 4 times in the main dining room, and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quieter atmosphere, or for a special occasion. We had the swordfish and Alaskan cod dinner specials earlier this week, and both were excellent! The crab fondue is also very yummy, as is the arugula salad, with apples and goat cheese. I've also had one of the steak entrees, but I have been more consistently impressed with the seafood and pasta dishes at Theo's. The service has always been fabulous! If you're going to drop $150 on dinner for two someplace around Bentonville or Rogers, this is definitely a better bet than,say, a certain "high end" steak chain nearby with the initials "RC". read more

My husband and I have been here a few times already. We love the fun drinks that they offer and the food is delicious! They have a patio outside seating which is nice. Our favorite so far is the filet mignon with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. $36 for good quality steak. I rather come here vs a steak house now...and the oysters are fresh tasting and yummy! read more

The cocktails are fantastic, a terrific happy hour deal at $5 a pop. There was no skimping on the liquor either. I tried the hummus on a friends recomendation and found it to be flat and flavorless, but the slow roasted pork sholder more than made up for that. My entree of Seared Atlantic Cod was perfectly cooked and my dining companion gave the Pan Seared Sea Scallops very high marks. read more

Came here for a late night snack and night cap with my wife. Very nice inside, and we were seated at a very cozy booth that had candles and pillows. Very large drink menu, had a dessert, drinks, and hung out till very late. Server wasn't over excited for us to be there it seemed, but we had a great time. Great for happy hour or late night drinks, the food and service are nothing to write home about. Took FOREVER last week (and it wasn't particularly crowded) to get drinks, then order and wait and wait for food. Which was messed up. What a great spot! I got the special: ahi tuna with mushrooms and green beans. It was fantastic. The house red wine was also great. Service was friendly and warm. I think I found my spot here in town. Happy hour/ appetizer menu looked great too. Saw some people order the chorizo tacos and say how good it was. Overall, the experience was enjoyable. But there were a few less than stellar things. Had the calamari appetizer which was good, however half of the portion was fried green peppers (which was not noted on the menu). I actually hate peppers, and it seems like a cheap filler to me. I had the NY strip which was very good. The included sides were a waste. Porcini mushrooms were rubbery, no flavor. Brussels sprouts had potential but were actually charred/burned so there was a off putting taste. Cheddar grits were ok, a little bland as well. No bread served with the meal, which isn't a necessity, but again, kind of a cheap way out. They did bring us a complimentary dessert (creme brûlée trio) which was excellent. Service was good. Not too slow as others have mentioned. We would have stayed and had drinks, however we were the last table in the whole restaurant at 9:30 on a Saturday. We were told we could continue at the bar for drinks, but opted to find somewhere more lively. It was overall a good dinner, but wouldn't rush to go back. read more

The atmosphere is appealing, but the food lacking. I was severely disappointed in the 'fondue.' They are using queso in lieu of an appropriate cheese for fondue (Gruyere can't be that hard to find!!!)...furthermore, the portion was an absolute joke. Think condiment not appetizer. This was our Valentine's destination. We had such a great meal! We tried the duck quesadilla for the appetizer and ordered the angus portabella burgers. Very romantic candle-lit atmosphere, friendly and respectful staff, excellent food. Complimentary champagne and a long stemmed rose after dinner! Although our service was very good and parts of our meal were tasty, their menu falsely advertises the ingredients. I ordered the Risotto with "local wild mushrooms" and what I received was a tasteless risotto with cremini mushrooms locally bought at Walmart. When I asked the waitress why there were no wild mushrooms in my dish she mentioned that they didn't think the customers would notice. If you want to support businesses that have honest business practices, eat somewhere else. Who knows what other ingredients they are substituting. read more

The seafood menu is limited. I had the NY Strip and my wife had the Halibut which we both thought was amazing. Our Calamari at the beginning was mushy, but the sauce that comes with it was great. I wasn't impressed with the service as our server was a little short, but maybe she was just having a tough day. One thing she did do which annoys me is she dropped off the bill while we were still eating our dessert. Please just wait until we're done eating before you rush us out the door. If you're looking for a steak I would recommend it. If you're more in the mood for seafood you may want to venture elsewhere. read more

Being new to the area, I was searching for a great restaurant for my husband and I to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We spend a lot of nights eating at home, so eating out, especially at a nice restaurant, is a real treat for us and something we look forward to. After reading reviews for Theo's we decided to give it a try, and boy it did not disappoint. I left a comment when we made our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, but I honestly didn't expect anything from it. When we arrived, we were shown to what I would consider one of the nicest, most private booths. Then our waiter walked up to us with two (complimentary) glasses of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. After that it just kept getting better. Our waiter made great recommendations, the drinks were fantastic, and I think I had the best filet mignon I've ever had. We also started with the mussels which were superb, and the brussel sprouts were to die for. We were blown away, and to top it all off they also offered us complimentary dessert! They really went out of their way to make us feel special, and in a way that I wasn't expecting. I highly recommend Theo's no matter what kind of occasion, but we will definitely be coming back here. read more

My wife and I embarked on an impromptu night out without the kids. After driving around attempting to decide on a restaurant we found ourselves in front of Theo's. We have lived in NW Arkansas now going on 2 years and had yet to try this place out. At first glance the place is very nice; it's all downhill from there. We walked in and waited for 5 minutes at the host stand while the bartender and another hostess ignored us, finally a young man walked up from the back and offered to seat us in the lounge. I explained to him we preferred to sit in the dining area as we had not been out without the kids in quite some time. That's when the young hostess that ignored us to begin with walked up and interjected herself so as to explain to us that there was no seating available. (The place wasn't half full and there were plenty of open tables.) I asked her for the wait on a seat in dining area and she explained to me that everyone had only just arrived; how odd that the patrons all decided to show up at the exact same time, seems legit. She was very snooty with us and the only conclusion I can seem to come to was merely because we were a young couple. I could have purchased anything on their menu comfortably, We took our leave and ended up across the parking lot at Bonefish Grill which by the way is an excellent choice and the food was as spectacular as the service. Been going here for happy hour since it opened and I finally tried dinner. My wife and I were thrilled that we finally tried it! They changed the dining area to where to lounge was and it made the area much more inviting. I was kind of sad to see the lounge area smaller but the new dining area is way better. After years of reading Yelp reviews, I have finally completed the sign up process so I can give my own review of Theo's. I went here with my husband for our anniversary....I was more interested in ambiance than the food, but I had no idea there could be such a disparity. The ambiance was fine and typical of a nice restaurant, but the food was so mediocre that the price tag for the food was just pretty comical. Honestly, my chicken tasted like a rotisserie chicken from a bulk food store, which would have been fine if I had paid $3 for my portion. The vegetables with my dish tasted like banquet food. My husband's dish was also very mediocre and was a very strange way to serve pork. The waiter was helpful and made sure my food was dairy free and made sure I had a separate bread basket because of my dairy allergy, so thats why I'm giving 2 stars, and not 1. My dish was modified to be dairy free, but that shouldn't have changed much as far as the flavor goes. I have every dish modified that way so my standard for flavor is different and I usually love whatever I order..this was a major exception!! read more

I booked a reservation for Valentine's weekend for a special night for my wife and me. Based on the menu and the prices, I assumed the food would be worthy of the price tag. When we arrived, the atmosphere was nice and it promised to be a romantic setting for a great dinner. We both ordered steaks. My wife ordered the filet and I ordered the NY Strip. The table beside ours had to send their NY Strip back, which had me nervous, but I expected it to be a fluke. When our steaks, mashed potatoes, and confit mushrooms arrived, it looked good for the most part. The food was cold, mashed potatoes were so dry we had to send them back. Not to mention they had no flavor and belonged at a restaurant the caliber of Dixie Cafe smothered in white gravy, not paired next to a steak. The steaks had good flavor but were served barely warm, but we opted to eat them instead of waiting for it to be fixed. Overall, average food at a premium price. I seriously doubt we will go back. In one word: underwhelming. read more
