The burgers were amazing! We both enjoyed the fries, regular and sweet potato. I didn't have room for ice cream but it looked great.

I couldn't decide between a 4 or a 5, but as far as comfort food goes, this place is fantastic. The restaurant was empty outside of another table when we attended -- the Saturday after Thanksgiving -- and after we ate, we asked ourselves why it wasn't jam-packed. The only thing we could come up with is that they didn't serve alcohol. Per the waitress's recommendation, I got the Coop, a delicious fried chicken sandwich. Alex got the smoke show mac and the kids got pizza. Everyone was happy and we all had leftovers for lunch the next day! Perfect carb-rich meal after a day of hiking. read more

Great little place to eat in Hocking Hills! We were visiting the area and tried this place based on previous reviews. The food is phenomenal! The chef/owner has unique menu choices for both brunch and dinner and everything is freshly prepared. This was the first time I've had boneless chicken chunks that were tender and juicy, unlike most places where they are dry and rubbery. The slaw was super tasty. Hubby enjoyed the flavorful Bygone burger and onion rings. We loved the Lobster Benedict and French French toast for brunch. The coffee was the best too! read more

The absolutely worst food I have ever ate, the onion rings had plastic in one of the rings and others were hard. Burger had no taste or BBQ sauce added. Had a take it out west burger. Not good either. Good thing I noticed the hard piece of plastic in the onion ring before I bit into it, would have taken out a tooth !! read more

Where I come from it's not hard to find a decent New York style pizza but ohio is littered with this square bar style pizza that's not really that great. Good food & great service. We're staying out near Hocking Hills park and, after hiking in the morning, we needed to make a run into Logan for supplies. Our hunger got the best of us and decided to stop and get a quick bite before continuing our mission. Based on other reviews, we chose to stop at The Feed and it was perfect - nothing fancy, just good food @ good prices & good service. Great selection of updated American standards and they even had low-carb options that weren't just salads. Although the salads looked great, I went with the KETza, a "pizza" made with a ground beef "crust" and pizza toppings, delicious! read more

The server was great. I ordered the fish basket and the fish was awful. Mushy and the breading was crispy outside but underneath it was wet and mushy . The fish itself was pollock and it tasted ok but had areas that were hard. I have been here 3 times over the past year and it was the worst. I told the server it wasn't good and all she said was "I'm sorry ". Not going back. I'm glad others like the restaurant but just not for me. read more

The building itself isn't great but the food was pretty good. We ordered the loaded Bavarian pretzel for an appetizer and didn't care for it, the pretzel was tough and so was the pulled pork...more like it was made in a crockpot versus smoked. The Albino Bird sandwich was good, was told it would be spicy but didn't think it was at all had a pretty strong pickle flavor to the chicken which I didn't mind. The burger was great but definitely should have skipped on the extra patty because it was huge. Server recommended the feed sauce (I think it's what she called it) and it was great with the sweet potato fries. The cheese sauce (they make in house) was nothing special and was way too much on the tots, probably should serve on the side. Portions were good for the money but I do feel like it was a bit overpriced and the thin Alabama White Sauce made for messy plates and we didn't feel like we could take leftovers because it would get soggy. Server (Amanda) was nice and gave decent suggestions. Overall not wowed but might go back sometime to try something different. read more

we came here after a day of hiking the caves in hocking hills. it was a perfect meal and hit the spot. we got the pretzel phlight, a couple of the smashburgers, the little italy sandwich, and the chicken tendies. all were amazing and delicious! the sauces were really good as well - in house honey mustard (mild but it grew on me), garlic parm (delicious with pretzels and chicken, very garlicky), carolina gold (a better, tangier chick fil a sauce), and alabama white bbq (delicious sweet bbq that was great with chicken). our server was javen and they were wonderful - the food came super fast, they checked on us regularly and answered all our questions kindly. they called us 'honey' which i appreciated as a gender-neutral way to address someone instead of sir or ma'am. it didn't feel demeaning at all. the women's bathrooms are really really tight quarters and at 5'7" i could see directly over the stalls which was pretty awkward. otherwise it was awesome. if we are back in the area we will definitely come back to try some of their other food. read more

went to the feed on a Friday afternoon for some lunch with my family and it was a very different experience than we were expecting, considering the good reviews! There were only six of us but we had to sit at two separate tables and it felt very cramped. The menus all had things crossed off of them with a dry erase marker, so naturally it took a while to chose what we wanted to eat. I got a pizza, two people got burgers, one person got chicken tenders and one got a salad. Those all should take the same amount of time, and the cooks should be able to execute all of them appropriately. I watched my pizza sit in the window as well as the chicken tenders for at least ten minutes. The waitress assured us that the food would be right out. At this point we all were very hungry and just kind of annoyed, it was frustrating watching the food go cold! My pizza came out first, and then the chicken and burgers. The pizza and chicken were lukewarm at best. The chicken was slimy and inedible. Thankfully the burgers weren't too bad and the fries were hot and delicious! We waited ten more minutes after the food was delivered to the table for the salad to arrive, because apparently the cooks had lost the dressing? I have worked in kitchens for a long time and I have never lost part of a menu item, let alone taken THAT long to get orders up. This was a very bad experience and I feel terrible that I chose this place for my family to eat at. The server didn't seem to feel too bad, (I don't think it was her fault) but normally if something like this happens there is usually an apology or a discount to make things right. read more
