Unique restaurant located at the gates of the Hocking Hills. The reclaimed materials - such as…read morereclaimed bricks and hand hewn beams - create an interesting atmosphere. Staff at the front desk were friendly, but had a hard time pulling themselves from their phones to seat us. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. The mini cornbread muffins were delicious. The steak and ribs were cooked perfectly, although I would have liked a little more seasoning on the ribeye. The baked beans were on the sweet side, but overall a good flavor. Our baked potatoes weren't done. They brought a second potato and it was still undercooked. We didn't eat it. Overall, we left feeling satisfied and had more than enough to eat. Bring your appetite and lots of cash because they'll have you pay the card processing fee and an additional "supplemental fee" for added fun. I would have taken a picture of the food, but we were too hungry for a photoshoot. Overall we would recommend it, just don't get the baked potato.

You can thank me for going through the suffering. My initial thought was the ribs, but I had to see how bad it all was, so I ordered the Meat Sampler. So, let's sample it. Ribs: They were the best of the meat. Yes, pull off the bone, but lacks in flavor or flavor compared to all that I've ever eaten. Scale of 1-10 (5). Smoked Turkey: Actually, this wasn't bad. It was actually moist, though I could not have eaten more than given to me as it wore on me. (6) Beef Brisket: It is true what you see in the pictures. I thought I was in the Sahara while trying to eat it. Drier than dry. No flavor and hating every bite. Their decent sauce didn't help. (1) Pulled Pork: Wood shavings comes to mind. So dry and tasteless. I'd rather eat the wood shavings. Sauce was no help. (1) Pulled chicken: Couldn't tell if it was the pork or not. It was so dry and tasteless. The pork and chicken taste the same and are the same dry texture, so you no sauce doesn't help. They forget the seasoning? (1) Smoked Sausage: Actually, it wasn't bad, however, as I ate it I recognized the flavor. I swear it is your general grocery store kielbasa. Pick the brand and apply fake smoke and you have it (3) The little cornbread cakes were okay, so I'd give'm (5). The pit baked beans were so darned sweet and you just get sick of it after several bites (3). The mac & cheese was like it came from the frozen section in the grocery store (2). The person who had the Carolina Smoked Pulled Pork was hoping there was something on their plate they could eat and sadly, no. They gave it a (1). All of those in the party did not like their meal with all of us agreeing the ribs were the best part about it. Ignore anyone rating this a 3 or higher. They either have never eaten bbq, were drunk, work there or know someone that does. There is no earthly or godly reason to rate this a three or higher. I want to save you from wasting money and being disappointed. If you never have eaten bbq then please do not eat here and think ill of bbq should you do. The food lacked flavor but seemed familiar. None of it was made on site. Could not have been. I've done bbq in crockpots, ovens, and other odd ways and they were far better than this. I wondered how badly could you screw this up, and then I think I got my answer. The one member asked for a container for us to toss later and he packed his food in the container. Then I saw it. Olde Dutch Restaurant in Logan -- so many people hyped this place up that we had to check it out…read more It's buffet style with all-you-can-eat salad bar, soups, hot dishes, and pies. Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).

Not realizing that outside was covered patio we first opted to sit inside but then we noticed the covered patio and requested to be seated outside and thanks to our lucky stars, the hostess obliged and we got seated outside in the covered patio to enjoy the perfect Memorial weekend weather. We ordered some drinks (not pictured) - I ordered an Espresso Martini while husband ordered a beer, friends ordered a couple of other drinks - a berry smash, a Sauvignon and more beer for the guys. The cocktails were amazing and delicious. We ordered a couple of shareables (Tirokafteri and Colcannon Cakes) as well which were both of course were so scrumptious that we forgot to click pics! So I made sure I clicked pics of as many mains/ entrees I could. A friend and I, ordered fried chicken sandwiches (his with fries, mine with chips, I also asked my brioche be subbed with Sourdough which both our waitress and chef were kind enough to comply), husband ordered a 58 burger, another friend ordered the Italian Chicken flatbread and another ordered a Portobello entree with a side of Caprese salad (added grilled Chicken). The fried chicken was ok, I've had better ones and unfortunately for me it gave me a bad tum as I spent the rest of the day feeling queasy. The husband said his burger was amazing, the flatbread, portobello and caprese were all absolutely delectable. Thankfully everyone enjoyed their lunch including kiddos who had Mac and cheese and a cheese pizza.
