Unfortunately this place continues to go downhill. The owners do not know how to run this place appropriately, staffing only one server at a time. One girl (pro shop worker) sits at the bar on her phone and will not help the server even pass out menus or get drinks. They cannot handle more than one or two tables at a time, and definitely not tables larger than 4 people. It's unfortunate because this used to be where everyone went for a nice meal. This was an interesting little find. To go to the restaurant at the country club you do not need to be members. It looked like just a little bar. The menu had good options. The bourbon sauce on the salmon was a little spicy and that was not noted on menu. The wild rice and everything was good. Enjoyed the wrap and the balsalmic dressing was great on the salad. Walked in on a quiet weeknight- 4-5 other tables occupied. Stood by the "Please wait to be seated" sign. Made eye contact with the wait staff - zero acknowledgment. Located at a golf/country club, we stopped here after a day of hiking because it was one of the only places with outside seating. We had my dog, and they didn't mind having him on the outside deck. Although the view was beautiful, we were extremely annoyed with the golfers coming through (I know, it's a golf club, I guess I just expected a little more class somewhere like this). It was what I believe was one of the last holes, so many of the "bro-ey" dudes (and girls) were cussing like crazy, belching, laughing about their bodily gasses, and just being down-right obnoxious. This happened right next to the restaurant, we were on the course. The food selection looked good, but they didn't have anything for vegetarians. I ended up ordering the fish platter, which was just deep fried. Our waitress was sweet, and it was definitely an experience. I don't have too much to say about this place honestly. I think we were all a little underwhelmed after eating dinner here, especially after we just got done with a 7 mile hike. We ended up ordering essentially the entire menu between three people and I'll say that the potato skins and Irish coffee were definitely my favorites. They however did redeem themselves with service. We sat at the bar, Rachel was our server. She told us it was her first time bartending and she was the sweetest woman. She was very attentive and wanted to make sure her first drinks were up to par. Loved her and would go back for her, not really the food. Pasta salad was poorly seasoned with watered down Italian dressing, our grilled chicken sandwiches (both of us got them) were way overcooked and really chewy. The buns were stale and falling apart. First off: the shopping cart style menu on Yelp is outdated. The large entrees are not on the menu since a change in the management. Always go to the country club/urban grille's website for a current menu. (We made reservations looking for fine dining but it turns out they specialize in handhelds now plus maybe one special entree per day according to our server). The special was a NY Strip with broccolini and roasted potatoes for $32 ish, and seemed steep. We opted for sandwiches. My wife ordered French onion soup to start, and a shaved beef Asiago mushroom melt with a side of pasta salad. The soup was excellent- top notch and the sandwich was unique and very good. The pasta salad mushy and bland. I started with the bang bang shrimp - excellent! (New for me but I liked it). I ordered a pimento burger and a side of crispy fries. The burger was excellent but the crispy fries were standard fries with seasoned salt. Some of the fries were not edible from too much seasoned salt on them. Our server, Reagan, took good care of us. Summary: Great starters and sandwiches, the sides were so-so. Outdoor seating worked well as the A/C was frigid inside. read more

It happens to be part of the golf course so we sat on the patio and watched some of the golfers. The patio could've used a little TLC. - a leaf blower would've made a big difference. Very cute place! The ambiance is relaxing with plants all around and a great view of the golf course. Service was amazing. The place was busy during lunch with only one server but she still took great care to make sure we had everything needed. Definitely get the fries! They are so crispy and delicious. We've been coming to Hocking Hills for 30 years.... How have we not known about Urban Grille? This place is amazing. Beautiful views inside and on the shaded patio. Extensive menu of entrees, salads, burgers and steak, salmon, shrimp many other delicious entree. Lobster fritters and bacon wrapped scallops were awesome! Granny Smith apple salad was fresh and crispy. The short rib stuffed ravioli with mushroom and white wine sauce was so good! Enough to share! Service was exceptional! Best red snapper! We were a little disappointed that the menu has changed significantly to bar/basket food however the special was red snapper over rice and side salad. It was terrific! The side salad is served in a perfectly chilled bowl and the rice was perfect. Our meal was delayed because our waitress forgot to put it in BUT she came over and apologized and explained that she messed up. That takes a big person to come to the table and do that. I'm sure many people would be upset but we were impressed with the way she handled herself. In a world where everyone is quick to blame others, we found it refreshing to have someone honestly admit a mistake. I wish I would've gotten her name. We were looking for something different in Logan because the norm is getting old. Knowing there isn't much to choose from we found this place. First thought was, being a restaurant at a golf course, it was going to be expensive. It ended up being no more expensive than if we would've gone up to Lancaster. We ordered the boneless chicken wings, Cobb salad, sirloin steak with broccoli, chicken tenders and fries, and grilled chicken in a bourbon sauce with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was good, but the steak was overcooked and dry and the broccoli was soggy. The service was very good and the restaurant had a decent atmosphere. It's a small place and could get super busy but it wasn't bad when we went. I was hoping I'd see Judge Smails but he wasn't around. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I believe the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday to the public, only open for club members. Will go on our short list for eating out. read more

In fact I had trouble deciding between a few different things that I wanted. I got the beef and asiago melt and beer battered onion rings. They were both delicious. The prices are reasonable it was $11. Of course the service was good because we were the only ones in there & the waitress was friendly and I thought the place was decorated very pretty even the bathroom. In Logan, Ohio there are few choices of restaurants if you want a decent sit-down meal. The Urban Grill is one of the two in the area. The atmosphere is nice enough. Service is usually very good and is actually the best part of the Urban Grille experience. The food, generally, is pretty good and is reasonable priced. The full bar provides ample beverage selection, albeit being a bit skimpy on the draft beer selections and bar prices are a little on the high side for the area. Chances are a couple of beers will cost more than your meal. The biggest problem with the Urban Grille is that they rarely update their web presence. At least 3 out of 5 times they will not have the special and/or menu item/s that brought you in. They may also be closed when the web listings claim they are open. Very dissapointed on this place. Our family of 4 stopped for lunch. We ordered a penne pasta with shrimp, the fish basket and two burgers. The penne pasta came with an alfredo sauce that tasted horribly. None of us in our family could eat it. The fish basket came with 5 pieces of fish that looked and tasted like fish sticks from a bag at the freezer section of a grocery store. Just terrible. The burgers were just ok.
