I actually go in on Taco Tuesday and order the big basket with 3 large Tacos and Tortilla chips. Their service is very good and the prices are reasonable. The young server is always smiling and friendly making the Ambience happy. It's Mexican decor on Tuesday. They have really improved the past year. read more

This place is awesome. So many things on the menu we wanted to try. We will have to go back soon to try other things. Everything we had was amazing. Our service was great. The cocktails were great. They had this sweet onion bisque that was one of the best soups I've ever had. Omg it was delicious. The burgers were very tasty as well. I honestly wish I could give this place 10 stars. My sister is a professor at Ohio University Lancaster and today we decided to have an impromptu lunch, so of course I had to check Yelp for restaurants in the area. This week's pregnancy hyper fixation food is burgers; lo and behold the reviews had impressive looking burgers. Our server was efficient, helpful and made really good suggestions. The ambience gives Cheers vibes and honestly, I wish it was my local neighborhood pub. I created my own burger with Gouda cheese, sautéed onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and a delicious garlic aïoli. My accompaniment of choice was tater tots. We were told that the meat is local and ground in the house daily. The ingredients were extremely fresh and the bun was perfectly buttery and toasted. I have nothing negative to report and can't wait to go back and try other menu items. read more

From out of town. Been here 2x. Last year and this year. There is a Round Barn close by at the fairgrounds that has a summer market that we went to, last year and this year. Last year, when we came here there were 6 of us and the hostess complained because she said they had no room and we had to wait. After about 20 mins they did accommodate us. But honestly I was put off by that. You are complaining about business in the middle of the day? That tainted that whole experience for me. This year we sat after about a 10 mins wait. This year this Pub was recommended to us by a vendor at the Round Barn. I thought it sounded familiar and it was the same place. Honestly I was disappointed I wanted it to be a different place. Anyway, our server was very nice. He got us drinks right away. We got various items for lunch I got 4 wings and a side salad. I asked for extra crispy wings and if that extra crispy then I am glad I asked cuz they were just regular. Cherry BBQ was OK. Salad was ok too. Nothing spectacular. I am told the bologna sandwich was good. And the rest of the food a burger and buffalo chicken sandwich was OK as well. So food is average. They did have a cider on tap and that is a plus. The Pub was very crowded. And this year there is construction outside making it hard to get to a bit. They have a parking lot across the street. I also noticed a patio but did not see it. It's seems like a decent neighborhood bar. The problem for me is that the first time I came here was a bad experience and I have held that. read more

Service was OK. Food was OK but for the amount of food you get and the price it's not worth eating there. Three people at our table got fries and it was just a handful of fries and their sides are not much either very little coleslaw. The fish was good, but one piece is not very much for me to eat there again. The servings are gonna have to increase for the price, you pay very high prices. read more

We live about a 1/2 hour away, and after reading reviews, we decided that we had to give this place a try, and we are SO glad we did. Amazing atmosphere, great service, good prices, and absolutely amazing food! We had a couple cocktails from their special drink menu, which were all fantastic. We had the Pollywog dip and the Disco Fries as appetizers, and they did not disappoint. The French Onion Burger is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had! My wife had the Bayou Burger, and it too was amazing. If you are in the area, definitely give this place a try, you will not regret it. read more

Visiting Ohio and a friend recommended this place. It might be a little unassuming on the outside but I really enjoyed the decor inside and the food. I got my traditional fried bologna and my friends got burgers. While the bun was a little over toasted I was delighted that the sando was served on a brioche. Really gave it an extra something. Great ranch and If you know me you know that I place a lot of value on a good ranch. This one was great. Other notable was that I did taste the burger and wanted to point out that the beef was very flavorful on its own. They dress their burgers uniquely and have some interesting options. Surprisingly crowed at 2pm when we came in for a late lunch. Got seated in the bar at a 2 seat high top. We both ordered burgers with no buns. Both were disappointing. We've visited Cherry Street Pub many times in the past and it's always been a good experience. There was a new item on the menu that I wanted to review and it's the Mongolian Beef and noodles. The flavor was outstanding with a sweet and salty taste. Decent portion of beef and broccoli. I thought the overall portion was small for the price point of $18 however. Also at reception desk, they seated the couple ahead of us and told us it would be 10 minute wait when we could clearly see four empty tables. Then when we were seated another couple behind us were greeted by their server before we were. I'm hoping it was a one off but if it continues we probably will stop going there. read more

Everything!! The hush puppy was total grease. Covering with cinnamon butter didn't help. I ordered the pasta mushroom dish and it was disgusting. Tasted OLD ....and I could tell by the mushroom in the dish, it was. Some of the Noodles were actually dry...so I could tell they had been sitting and reheated. Not that it was hot. Barely Luke warm. Scoped out CSP on Yelp before heading to Lancaster with the in-laws to browse around the Olde Shoe Factory. Reviews were honest & the menu seemed to have plenty of crowd pleasing options & since I was traveling with three picky Ohioans I convinced them to come here for lunch. We arrived around 1:30 on a Friday to a busy dining room but surprisingly no wait. The atmosphere here is excellent as the decor is wood panel with contrasting colors & upholstery everywhere. Great old pub vibes but lively as well. We were seated quickly with our drinks & an app on the table within 5-10 mins, Our party had two burgers, Thai chicken wrap, Southern sun salad (me), & polliwog dip for the app. The dip was okay but not anything special basically just melted cheese with some bbq sauce and minced pulled pork. Probably would opt for something else next time. The salad I had was the perfect portion & very balanced. Wife's wrap was pretty good (I had a bite). In-laws seemed pleased with their burgers as well. Our server was really good & very patient with my mother in law who had made a lot of alterations to her order. Our first time here, visiting area from out of town! We were so pleasantly surprise, the food was great! I had the best chicken tacos ever! perfectly seasoned and the added corn salsa a delight! It's really neat that the bar at Cherry Street Pub is quite old -- it was built in the early 1900s! This is just one example of the history that you'll find inside this restaurant. If you want to see more local Lancaster history, just gaze upon the objects on the walls: you'll see an assemblage of memorabilia, magazine covers, photographs, maps and other things decorating the restaurant. This pub is family-friendly, even though they don't have a kids menu, which is a bummer. But I brought my children, and I saw many other kids, as well. They also have high chairs. My kids got a cheeseburger and a plate of mac & cheese, and because the food portions are not kid-sized, the meals were huge for my kids. My children have tiny hummingbird stomachs and can only eat so much food in one sitting, so they left a lot of food on their plate. My mac-and-cheese orderer didn't care for the mac & cheese because it was a bit loose and soupy. I got the Quite-A-Gouda Burger, which was a double burger with gouda cheese, bacon, caramelized onions and lettuce. It was tasty but very big! One of those burgers where you need to have a jaw that unhinges, or use a knife and fork. We also got the Pub Club, which is turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, American cheese and mayo on toasted bread. Again, tasty but huge. Are you sensing a theme? If you enjoy huge portions, this is the place for you! Sandwiches are served with fries and a pickle, but we substituted the fries for tater tots. We were looking for a place half way between Athens and Columbus. Furthermore, it had to have a patio. So of the 3 options we were given to pick from (one person was nice enough to do the research and select the 3), this one won out. For me who voted for it - it was the menu that nailed it for me. I'm a salad person and there were several to pick from. So one person called ahead to try and make a reservation as there was supposed to be 6 of us. No reservations. No problem. We figured we'd go a little early and it would all work out. We agreed to meet here at 11:30 AM on a Wednesday in mid-September. I found a parking spot on the street as I totally missed to lot right across the street. Regardless, it was an easy walk and a safe neighborhood. I did, however, use my steering wheel lock as I have a Kia and we'd be here a couple hours. I was the first to arrive and we had our pick of tables on the patio. There was already a couple tables pushed together that would fit our group of 5 (1 called off sick). The waitress was excellent and attentive. She took my soda order and brought it out. One by one my group arrived and she greeted each and got their drinks. We finally put in our food order and continued to chat. Our orders came out in good time and they were all perfect. No mistakes. Almost everybody ate every bite - except for one person who got their leftovers to go. I got the SW style salad with grilled chicken - dressing on the side and hold the tortilla strips. Someone else got the same with tortilla strips and they were quite impressive looking. The salad had nice mixed greens and corn, cheese, red onion and tomato. Also a fair amount of chicken. I didn't really notice the onion until afterwards when the taste stayed with me a while. Regardless, it was very good and didn't need the dressing. The waitress mixed up all the bills except mine. She was super nice and got them all fixed - no big deal as we were not in a hurry. Our group is all retired women except me - so I left first as I was on the clock and needed to get home and back to work. I definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. It's a big pricey for me for lunch time meal but since I only go out occassionally with friends, it was well worth it for the meal and companionship! read more

Wow, well I'm blown away. If you're passing through Lancaster, this little pub is a must. The staff were very friendly and the environment I can't rave enough about. The vibrancy of the decor and furnishings can't be understated in this very fashion forward spot. Even the bathrooms are lovingly painted! As lovely as the decor is, the food is even better. I adored the crispness and peppery yet sweet taste of the fried pecan crusted chicken and waffles. The amount of fun and unusual dishes here makes it all the more fun and dining experience. The initials even being marked on the fantastic pimento "Polliwog" Dip being a nice touch! All that being said, the service was very quick and accurate and our waitress was accommodating!
