The fries weren't seasoned, so I mixed ketchup and mayo to make them edible. The chocolate chip cookie didn't disappoint. The kids loved the Beetlejuice drink, especially the gummy worms. Sadly, we could've gotten better burgers for cheaper at Mickey D's. But, at the end of the day, my children and I got to make a memory. Our server was amazing, so that was another plus. We have been going to castaways since I was a kid, now a middle aged woman. We eat at a local business at least once a week to support our community. We had seven people in my family and three of us got there first, no one welcomed us just stared at us upon entering , we went to the back corner and tried to accommodate seven people at a six person table. When we were done the waitress came and was so rudely told us we cannot be moving stuff per Covid rules. Which was fine I understand the crazy times right now. However she didn't need to be so mean. I asked her what she would recommend for us and she said to squeeze in around the table(cause that's Covid safety). Then I said I didn't want to be cramped while trying to cut a steak so she marched to get her manager, I heard her manager so " oh no! They can't be doing this!" She came and scolded us about health department rules meanwhile as she is aggressively talking to us she has NO MASK ON! Which led me to believe this is more a control issue than her being concerned with the health department and her customers and employees Covid safety. She then said , after throwing another chair into our table and saying "you'll have to squeeze in", I said I think we will leave and she said" I don't know what you want me to do, I mean you can have more room outside and I said no we are leaving and she said I offered you an option and I said after five minutes of treating us badly. She said I don't know what you want me to do and I said well you can start with being nice. And we left and as we were walking by the bar the young rude waitress was cracking up laughing!! There was two tables in the whole place on a Friday night!! Do they not realize customers are how they make money?!! This is what you get trying to help local business?? But you can't argue with stupid, won't go back after decades of family memories!! Nice job ladies, you will be shut down in no time with you two ladies bad attitudes. read more
