Every once in a while, a restaurant you think you know well surprises you in a big way. This visit to Texas Roadhouse did exactly that. We were a pretty good sized group: seven adults and two kids, including my wife and me. One of the kids was celebrating his 13th birthday and had made a rather specific request: he wanted a birthday cake made out of Texas Roadhouse rolls. More on that masterpiece in a minute. Hannah was our server and she was OUTSTANDING. Managing a table our size while also handling other tables is no small task, but she was attentive, friendly and on top of things throughout the meal. I went with the Chicken Critter Salad, which has been my favorite here for years. My wife had the grilled shrimp with several vegetable sides. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. Now for our usual restaurant obstacle course: my wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I have a tree nut allergy and Alpha Gal, with a diabetes kicker just to keep things interesting. I was genuinely surprised to find that Texas Roadhouse has a gluten free menu. Even more important, Hannah took our dietary issues seriously, paid attention to the details and made sure we were comfortable with our choices. That makes a huge difference when eating out with multiple food restrictions. The atmosphere is exactly what you expect from Texas Roadhouse: busy, loud, crowded and energetic. This isn't the place for an intimate conversation or a serious business dinner, but it's absolutely appropriate for families, groups, kids and a casual date. And then there was the birthday cake. The staff actually took their famous rolls and built a two tier birthday cake out of them, using their cinnamon butter as the icing. Look at the picture. This wasn't somebody tossing a few rolls onto a plate and sticking a candle in them. They went all in. For a kid turning 13, they took a funny birthday request and turned it into something genuinely memorable. That kind of effort is what took this visit from a normal night at a familiar chain restaurant to an experience worth writing about. Great job by Hannah and the entire Lancaster Texas Roadhouse team. This one surprised me, in the best possible way. read more

Abby was the BEST server ever! From the moment she introduced herself, she was a bright light of sunshine. She met every need we had before we even had to ask! Her energy made our dinner so much fun, and she was really funny too. The food was fantastic, but Abby made our family night extra special. All-around amazing experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better server. Abby was awesome! read more

Our server was incredibly cheery, helpful, and prompt! The drinks and appetizers did take quite awhile to come out, but our entrees were ready quickly and everything else was fast. I am disappointed with how things have changed in recent years, there are now so many hanging advertisements that it feels like dining in Times Square! It makes the restaurant feel tacky and overshadows the atmosphere which was previously Texas themed and fun/family forward. All around I recommend this restaurant for a casual, affordable, family dinner! Ps, I do hope the health department scores keep improving! While it has come a great distance from its 6(!) priority violations just a few months ago, I'm still concerned to see a priority violation and mention of roaches in their most recent health department report. read more

We had an early dinner at Texas Roadhouse today. We drive to this location although we live minutes away from a closer one. We were promptly greeted and seated without any wait. After being seated our server came and introduced himself as Nick. I could sense immediately Nick was no novice. He was genuine, made eye contact, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He took our beverage order and returned with our drinks and took our entree orders. Anytime he was serving other diners in our section he stopped by the table to see if we needed anything . He didn't miss a thing! Nick brought our entrees to our table, not a food runner giving him another opportunity to provide excellent service for anything else we might need to keep service at a high level. My wife had a tossed salad, Chicken Tenders , and a perfectly baked potato. I ordered a tossed salad, medium rare New York Strip, and a fluffy baked potato. Both our entrees were executed expertly: crispy, juicy, and tender chicken tenders and a perfect med rare steak! Between the Rock Star service Nick delivered and perfectly prepared entrees Texas Roadhouse knocked this one out of the park with a grand slam! Nick was the common, consistent piece of the puzzle bringing it all home. Thank you Texas Roadhouse AND Nick for an outstanding dining experience!! read more

Shouldn't even be open, roaches, unwashed dishes and more with their most recent health inspection (1/20/2026). This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable, this is how people get sick. The place is filthy. read more

I was in Texas Road House yesterday and ordered 1/2 slab of ribs, baked potatoe and carrots. The ribs were overcooked, dry, and no sauce. The carrots were hard, and no seasoning. Rolls and baked potatoe were very good. I should have said something at the restaurant but I didn't. We have come often and never been dissappointed. My husband ordered a ribeye steak, salad and baked potato and was very satisfied with his meal. read more

This place is the best place for a great steak and mushroom gravy. My friend Sharma and I have gone there 3 times and you get the right steak cooked the way you want it. If you're going to Meijer's or Kohl's in Lancaster OHIO and it's 4 o'clock then stop in after shopping or before. Service is friendly and FAST . All hospitality is Texas style (friendly and get it right). I love the ambiance because I have been to a Texan Roadhouse and it's a definite contender! Yummy. I must put it on my schedule for next week! Heck you can go alone but the atmosphere makes you feel like you have 50 friends because of how OPEN it is. Don't have a picture but go to their website for more. It's on your way to Columbus, Ohio. Steak done right!! read more

Is a great place to dine and services always been good. Large menu, many choices or pick you own steak.

Likely my favorite place ever! Great food for the best prices. Awesome service every time. read more

Food and service was great good night with a couple of co- workers and drinks not hard to find either

This Texas Roadhouse seems to be a well run, well staffed location. My wife and I have visited dozens of times and never come away with a bad meal or unpleasant experience. On my last visit on a Wednesday we arrived close to 5:30 and had a very short wait. Ordered ribs that were fall off the bone. Only slight criticism was I'm not a fan of the sauce. Not sweet enough for me. I love their green beans because of the onion and bacon bits they use. Wait staff was great. A very consistent go to place. read more

Good food. Good service, only issue is they are always busy which is a good thing but it is very good and the vibe in their is solid

We were on the waitlist for Texas Roadhouse at 4:51, told us an hour. we went in at 5:55 and they told us 30 more minutes, and I said no we've been on there for an hour (mind you we're watching a bunch of people going in and getting seated) and y'all told us 6:06 she got an attitude and said "like I said another 30 minutes". So tried to call the manager and was on hold for 15 minutes had to go somewhere else. This one is a joke, Newark is far better! read more

Absolutely love this place and we are regulars. Never have an issue with the food or the staff. The decor is very well themed and the atmosphere is very fun and inviting. read more

Everything Was Great . From The Waiter, The Atmosphere, And Of Course aOur Meals.....Can't Wait To Go Back Again!

This is by far one of the of the worst managed places I have been. Came in with a group of five which include a child in a wheelchair. Was told it was a 10 minute wait, but 30 minutes later still no seating. When I asked about our table, I was told just 10 more minutes. Still 30 passes and no seating. Groups and groups came in after us and got seated. Hostess staff has no clue what they are doing and got rude when asked about our table. Pretty sorry place. Still waiting after an hour, I'm in the waiting area if management would like to discuss. read more

I thought it was amazing tbh, good cooked food and the service was amazing just as well as the service

Was there just today Mothers Day it was super busy of course and as the meals are normally great the 2 full rack ris were a bit charred to me read more

We frequently visit this restaurant and it never disappoints. Started with the blooming onion. Came out hot and crispy. The dipping sauce had a slight kick to it this time. I ordered a loaded baked potato, 10oz Ribeye and a side salad. The rolls came out fresh and moist and pairs nicely with the cinnamon sugar butter. Favorite part of the salad is the homemade croutons. My steak arrived, well done. I had ordered medium rare. So I sent my steak back and it took about 15 minutes to arrive so I was not able to eat with my family. The baked potato was delicious! read more

We love the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant. We always order the same thing, the 6oz Medium Rare Sirloin Steaks, Baked Potatoes with sour cream and butter, Salad with Ranch dressing and buttered rolls. I love the steaks here!!! Tony loves the Big Ass Bud Drafts they are like 32 oz or bigger!! I usually drink my soda. We are not a fan of the Honey Butter so we always ask for regular butter. I love their house salads!! I would not change anything about it. The steaks have a seasoning on them that seems to enhance their flavor immensely Can't wait to go back again!!!! read more

Back at this establishment for dine in service. Great experience! As always the food was great! The Rolls with honey butter were fresh and hot! The onion was crisp and delicious. I asked for extra dressing, but did not get it. The ribeye was cooked exactly the way I wanted and very flavorful! I'm my opinion, you can't go wrong here! read more

We have never had a bad meal here. Always have fun and get great service. Best rolls ever!

My friend and I had a great experience here for lunch on Friday. I am surprised they don't serve lunch Sunday-Thursday. Anyway, service was excellent and choices were ample. I had the sirloin fried steak with two sides. I picked sweet potatoe and green beans. Portion was huge and tasted delicious! I took half of everything home to hubby and he enjoyed it as well. The meal cost $9.99! Such a great deal. Rolls were delicious and of course "free" shelled peanuts at each table! read more

Great food and service! Love the rolls! Reminds me of southern hospitality I've grown up with in Oklahoma.

Food was good , waitress was very nice . But the musty smell was very prominent . It could be all that old interior wood .... The place hasn't been remodeled in all the years it's been there. Seriously showing wear and tear . read more

I am usually a fan of steakhouses... oddly enough, I like the chains. Although, historically I have been disppointed with Texas, this visit proved different. We had a party of 5, and everyone was happy with their order. We had the sirloin, steakhouse filet salad, grilled bbq chicken and ribeye, and grilled pork chops. The only complaint that I personally have is that they don't have a full meal to accomodate vegetarians, just a combination of sides. I know, 'what vegetarian eats at a steakhouse?'... my very accomidating husband, that's who. I definately won't chose to skip this place next time I need a meal in this area read more

Texas Roadhouse - USDA choice 8 ounce sirloin - Steakhouses Near Me - Lancaster, Ohio

For the first time last night at 6:00 PM, I ate at roadhouse and was disappointed with the food! The snake bite appetizers have changed. They deflate when you touch them and list the spicy kick. The cheese on the tater skins was like a single piece of rubber you could lift right off and worst of all, my Fort Worth Robert was bland. Not hand rubbed with seasoning, I had to add salt and pepper. As a result, it was also tough and chewy! Roadhouse is very busy because you can always get a good steak there, but if this is the future, they will go down fast. Seasoning before cooking breaks down fast and tenderizes the steak. Not doing so, like last night, gives you a dry chewy tough piece of leather! Extremely disappointed for the first time! read more

we placed a carry out order on the telephone and the worker repeated the order and gave us a total and told us it would be ready in 30 minutes. we drove 30 minutes to pick it up and when we got to the pick up booth, we were told that no order was there and no record was in their system. we were given the option to reorder and wait again but we did not. not even a we're sorry about that or anything. we won't be back read more

This place was PACKED! We had a 45 min wait to be seated. I admit I'm a little bothered by the peanut shells. I know they are part of the atmosphere but when we got to our table my seat had a large pile of shells right in front of my chair. I personally think they should at least sweep under the table or maybe just if it's a lot. I found it a little gross to hang out with the previous diner's peanut remnants. The food was good. Love the bread. Their Italian dressing was very different than most, but in a good way. Despite being super busy our service was fast and good. The drinks never went empty and the food came fast. read more

This is our go to for a good cheap steak and all the trimmings. You can certainly spend more than we usually do, but it's still not fancy steak. The other menu items (ribs, chops chicken) are quite good, although we usually stick with steaks. The fresh rolls, salads and baked potatoes with butter and sour cream are simply well prepared and always to the same good quality. The steaks always seem to come out perfectly as we order them. We are medium rare folks, and I have never had to send a steak back. My real reason for the review was to commend the quality of organization in these times of Corona virus carry out. I did an online order, paid in advance and asked for a specific time. When we got to the parking lot a gentleman checked on the name our order was in. We were on the list, so he used a walkie-talkie to let the server know we were there, and then directed us to a specific parking space (I believe we were A4.) and told us to wait there. It took about five minutes for our server (don't forget to tip!) to deliver our order to our car. All the employees were wearing appropriate masks, as were we. I would remind us all that, as uncomfortable as it is, masks need to cover your nose, too. Our order was perfect and still warm after the 15 minutes it took us to get home. It was an excellent, well organized experience that I highly recommend. read more

Amazing food and staff always worth the wait Food comes out hot and fresh never had to send anything back. read more

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant because of multiple reasons. First the bathrooms were filthy. Then my husband had a ribeye and it was so dry and cold. Our grandson had a steak and it was so dry he wouldn't eat it. My green beans had no flavor and my loaded sweet potato had only marshmallow's, no cinnamon or butter. The waitress forgot our drinks that we had asked for another refill. The blooming onion they didn't take the outer skin off of the onion. We were pulling the peel off. We spent almost $90 and we should have a better meal. read more

Food was delicious, cooked correctly, really nice portions, servers/barkeeps on their A game.

One of the best. Can rely on good service and consistently good food. At a reasonable price.

Service was horrible. Manager and her wait staff should be on the same page. Oh wait...they were. They Lied about getting service at the booths in the bar area. So after two drinks at the bar and not seated at a booth then witnessing them sit a couple at a booth we left. I live in Houston TX but was born and raised in Lancaster OH. Was visiting with family and my sister and I decided to come here. Being that I've been to Texas Road House in Htown, why not. Little did I know that they don't care for people of color. Really sad. read more

Let me start this off by saying I've never had a bad experience at Texas Roadhouse Lancaster until this weekend. We were sat by a little girl that looked like she hated her job.
