I've been to Applebees a lot in my life especially the one located in Lancaster, OH and it is good everytime. My food is always cooked just right and delicious, my mixed drinks are always good like the bartender knows what they are doing and our server was is always very attentive and helpful. I went last night for dinner and everything was great. Highly recommend this location and restaurant. The fun part about Applebees is they have seasonal mixed drinks so we got the Valentine's Day ones they have right now and they were delicious. First thing the A/C wasn't working right. Ok I understand. We came in waited 7 minutes before someone greeted us. Then told wait time was 10. We saw a booth open right with other people. He went over wiped it down. We still waited 10 minutes later he went back over wiped it down. He then seated us. The cushion seat had a spring sticking up and our hands stuck to the table. Waitress came by got our orders. She was busy but I waited over 10 minutes for another drink unsweet tea. She brought out sweet. Motion around anybody want a sweet tea. With concerns I agreed to go with a friend who is a regular. Haven't found them better than fair in decades, anywhere. This one failed to even live up to that in food prep. The ambience is well known, sports barish, fast casual, hangout, family friendly. Our server was excellent and the one somewhat redeeming feature in a lackluster experience. I didn't get a picture of my friend's medium steak that was very well... However, I ordered mine medium-rare. You see the pictures... They even show a picture in the menu of how the meat should look... way overdone with dry mashed potatoes and almost no mushrooms in the mushroom onion bed..... if this is how concerned they are for the customers and more expensive food they order, I still don't understand why they remain popular. read more

Me and my family were there to get dinner, food was great and server was so amazing besides the fact that my father's dish had avocado on it, and he is allergic to avocado. This has happened multiple times in previous experiences, even instances where the cooks clearly put avocado on the food and scooped it off. So if you're allergic to anything make sure you double check your food before eating it. read more

I have not been to Applebees in years. Decided to try this location as I was craving something different. I can remember when Applebees was first built in my hometown, it was the hip place to be! Over the years it lost its luster and kinda went downhill. Walking into this restaurant reminded me of the glory days of my hometown Applebees! Everything was clean, up to date, the staff presented themselves well, and the food was great! I had the prime rib dipper, it was a nice sandwich served with a side of their French onion soup to dip it in. We also had a side of wings as an appetizer. Both were exactly how o remembered them! The boneless wings had a great honey bbq sauce, crispy coating and moist chicken. The fries were crisp and had great flavor. This store has restored my faith in Applebees! read more

Went back to Applebees today after writing them off a few years ago On the positive side it was a little better However, though the oriental salad was better, the bread sticks were unrecognizable as bread and they charged extra for extra dressing Lastly, the soft drink was completely soda water with little syrup added. If they are squeezing pennies this hard they probably will be out of business soon. But there is little or no competition in Lancaster so maybe they will be ok. A local that eats here often. Always have great experiences when coming here. Staff service is excellent and food is just as good. Front of the house Yna was great. She had a great personality and great customer service skills. Dana was our waitress and she was excellent. Even though they had her all over the place she was friendly and efficient. I typically get the bourbon chicken and shrimp and it's always great. The spinach and artichoke dip is amazing. Lastly, the Chocolate lava cake is to die for. I've been coming to this Applebee's for nearly 20 years. I always receive exceptional service from the wait staff. Rarely do I order alcoholic beverages, yet they always keep my raspberry iced tea filled. I drink a lot when I eat, so I really appreciate the wait staff and their attentiveness. Frequently I order the Fiesta Lime Chicken and its always perfect every time I order it! When I order my steaks they cook them to order and they turn out just as I ordered. Their curb side service is great and they do well filling large group orders during the lunch hour for offices throughout the area. They are great at accepting their gift cards which I normally purchase at grocery stores. I hope after all these years others will come back a few times a year, as I do, to this chain restaurant, yet part of the Lancaster, OH experience! read more

The free chips and salsa at the bar with a drink order are now $3.99. Really? For $1.50 worth of food? Ridiculous. The Perfect Margarita that we have always gotten were horrible. They tasted mostly like sweet and sour mix. I got the southwest chicken bowl. The chicken was tender and it had a good flavor. Only good thing about the meal. My husband got the sirloin steak. He said it was pretty much inedible. He couldn't even cut it with the knife. He said it was the worst steak he had gotten in years. The restaurant was not crowded at all. Best Applebee's ever. Super busy, so we ate at the bar. That was pretty smart. The bartender was really busy but it didn't mean she was stressed. She was quick and still attentive to our needs. Why review an Applebee's when they are all the same? Well this one had a very nice and attentive server named Paul who was just the bees knees. He seemed new, or was learning a new menu at least, and yet he was very pleasant as well as accommodating. He seemed genuinely interested in providing us with a good experience. On the food side, the salad I had was exceptionally fresh. The dressings were tasty and my kids ate all of their food too. A small miracle that is.
