No and never again. I keep to my usual breakfast fare of eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and toast. The others had the sausage biscuits and gravy with their dishes. Two didn't like their food and the other was meh. The scrambled eggs are something I've never seen before. It was like paper sliced up into confetti. Just odd. Service was slow and should be called nearly nonexistent. I'm still waiting for simple requests I made that never made it to my table. They even got the order wrong on. If you go there just order what I ordered. You can't mess that up, most of the time. read more

Hey... Good morning, came to Hocking Hills on a retreat with 2 more couples. On our last day we wanted to eat out get breakfast. As we entered greeted nice showed us to table. Took our drinks fairly quick. Waited a few minutes to take our order. That's where it took the turn for the beginning of the worst. All of our meals missed a lot. After everyone got their meals we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for 2 French toast 1 sausage. The eggs on 1 person were fried hard not over easy. 2 French toast were soggy & inedible. The food on another had hair to which had hair inexcusable no apologies just said "I'll take the 1 bacon & 1 egg off". The price was overrated in just going on to what I had. I had a ham & cheese omelet toast & hashbrown were extra. My omelet & toast were ONLY $10. 99, the potatoes were $3.99. So $15 to eat that & that's real expensive just had water if I had anything else to drink it'll be almost $25 added tip. The 2 stars were for the person who took us to table & took our drink order. The waitress could get some customer service teaching... I've gotta stop right here because the owners won't do anything about this. Heard about this place on social media, decided to check it out. Tried the breakfast bar, standard food fare, eggs, sausage, bacon, smoked sausage. Bar unit was producing too much steam which made the food soggy. Service was great, enjoyed the conversation with several of the staff. Plenty of seating although the tables were a bit wobbly. Overall it didn't live up to the hype, but I'd give it another shot? read more

Under new management. Had breakfast there twice. The cheese omelet and the cinnamon pancake were both delicious. Grandson said the homemade chicken and noodles was very good. The service was great and the prices are very reasonable. Don't pass this one up! read more

I've been going here for years under 3 different owners and aways was satisfied with the food and price. It is now under new management and we thought we would eat there for lunch. My wife ordered a turkey burger, coleslaw which they were out of so she ordered a salad. The lettuce was old and welted which she refused to eat. The turkey burger meat looked like the size of a sausage patty. My chicken sandwich wasn't bad but not the best. The French fries were good and so were the chips. really not worth the money. Tried the buffet. Food was wonderful. It definitely could have been bad with how busy they were. Almost every table was filled, had a 10 minute wait before we could sit. We walked in, it wasn't busy which should have been a clue. Three ladies gathered by the register yet no one greeted us and then finally took us to a booth. I didn't think it was possible to mess up a simple order BUT they managed jt. Toasted burned , the egg on my plate would have fit in a tablespoon-- also looked. It looked nothing like a real egg.... Sausage was a tiny link and was DRY and hard (like something that came out of a litter box) We showed the waitress who agreed but could only give a discount. I am a local and I haven't been here in years because I don't hear good things about it but today I decided to give it a try. I'm a chef and I'm willing to try anything despite peoples opinions. I went to Bob Evans a couple of weeks ago and it was a nightmare. Well nothing was different here. On the intake the girl that greeted me was very nice and took my drink order. She then came back and asked if I was ready to order. I told her I was ready to order an appetizer. She took that order she took that order and then she came back a few minutes later to take my lunch order. I never received the appetizer. I received it at the same time as my meal. She asked if there was anything I needed for vinegar. I never received it. I sat here in my table for over 20 minutes with no one coming to check on me. No one refilling drinks nothing at all. We stayed in Lancaster for a family vacation and on the way out we decided to stop at Hocking Hills Diner. Conveniently located off the interstate. Lots of parking and welcoming storefront. The food was great and could accommodate our large family with no issues. The diner had a very cute small town feel and had farmhouse decor that felt very warm and welcoming. Issue we had was a poor waitress, had to ask for napkin/straws/refill on drinks she had zero customer service skills, after waiting 10 minutes we had to flag down another waitress to get our bill so we could pay and leave. It took a very long time for us to get our food, and when we did, the eggs were runny and the potatoes were cold. We were told that there was some new staff in the kitchen, and there was probably going to be an adjustment period. Nonetheless, it wasn't the best experience. I visited the diner today and was very disappointed. It took 30 minutes to get our food. They were not busy at all. The sausage and bacon were very greasy. The sausage gravy was good. My daughter said her omelet was not good and my granddaughter was not happy with her black & blue burger. However the price of my meal was pretty good. read more

Visited Hocking Hills Diner on a Wednesday for lunch. Decor was nice and very clean. Ordered the tenderloin sandwich and coleslaw combo. I had pictured the sandwich you get at county fairs but it was sliced into thirds and placed in a sub bun with tiny Roma tomatoes which I couldn't keep between the bun. Taste was just average, nothing special. Cole slaw was not seasoned and wasn't good. Service was good but to be fair they were far from busy. They also have an up charge for using a credit card which just didn't set right considering value received. read more

Yuck. I picked up a carryout order of beer battered cod, fries and Cole slaw. I had to wait 10 minutes even though I called 15 minutes ahead of pickup. The slaw was a cup of water thin dressing with a few flakes of cabbage floating in it. The fish was puffed up breading, tough and chewy with skinny pieces of fish in there somewhere... Skip the Friday Fish dinner. And get your coleslaw from KFC. They know how to make coleslaw. read more

I had always seen this restaurant advertised on the freeway signs but decided to check it out for breakfast. I was taken aback at first as it appeared to be attached to a large warehouse, but it is so cozy inside with floor to ceiling hard wood. They serve standard diner food and specialty coffee drinks. I ordered a De Orleans which I never had before and it was so good!!! My mother and I ordered a standard egg, toast, bacon, and potato breakfast while the others in our group ordered the Louisiana Bowl special. Despite mine and my mother's meal being cold, it was very good. The others in our group did not care for the Louisiana Bowl very much. Our server was working so hard and was very accommodating. They were a little busy, so I chalk up the cold food to that. It was reasonably priced. I would give this diner another try. read more

We just ordered some basic breakfast food and a cheeseburger. Everything came out quick, hot and yummy. I did see them putting up a sign for a special of the day that was a soup flight.
