Honestly this place was probably one of the worst places I've eaten at. We were hiking nearby and was starving so we headed here afterwards for food since we saw they had a menu with vegetarian and pescatarian options. When we got there, there was a long wait for our food - about 35-40 minutes. We went around 2:30pm so we hoped we would get our food quickly since the restaurant didn't seem busy at all. Since we were waiting for awhile, the server offered dinner rolls which we accepted. They were still frozen in the inside so we sent them back. When we finally got our food, the food was meh, I liked the fries except for a few weird tasting ones. There's great views but the food was terrible. Would not ever go again even if we were hiking nearby. As for service, our server was nice and attentive but the hosts at the front didn't notice us for about 2-3 minutes despite being nearby so that was a bit annoying.

This is my second time eating at Rock House for dinner. Both times have been great. I'm surprised about so many poor reviews. Now, my husband and I like good food but wouldn't consider ourselves foodies that everything has to be perfect to have a lovely dinner. First, the lodge is lovely and inviting after a day of hiking. The service at Rock House has always been attentive - no different tonight with our server Ashley. The restaurant was well staffed and the manager stopped by our table to check on us. The food - we tried the French Onion and Chicken Tortilla. Both were good. I see what people say about too much bread in the French onion, but the flavor was good and the cheese pull was great! My husband got the blackened shrimp ravioli and I got the salmon. Both were very tasty. The ravioli was a little old bay forward and the salmon was by foodie standards a little well done, but the flavors of the mango salsa, salmon with the lemony rice and seasoned green beans was divine. I would get this again. Many people around us were enjoying their meals as well. We will be back!.....adding a picture of my avocado toast with bacon the next morning. Delicious!

We're locals and happened to stumble upon Rock House Restaurant after realizing one of our favorite spots, Jimbo's, was closed that day. Usually, I only leave reviews when the food is exceptionally good or bad, but this time it's different. While both of our meals were delicious, it's the staff experience that prompted me to write this. When we walked up to the host stand, there was no greeting. The host silently grabbed two menus and started walking toward a table without a word or glance. My partner and I looked at each other, unsure if we were supposed to follow. Before we even reached the table, the host had already dropped off the menus and walked away, still without a single word or eye contact. It was awkward and unwelcoming. Thankfully, our server arrived within five minutes, smiling and friendly. We placed our order, and our food came out in about 15 minutes, everything was going well at that point. However, when I needed a refill, she was nowhere to be found. We even overheard other staff members wondering where she had gone. I finally got a refill just as I was finishing my meal. While we were dining, a family of six came in and asked to be moved outside after being seated inside, the woman mentioned she was cold. The host simply told them, "We need to seat you here," despite the restaurant being fairly empty, with maybe three tables occupied inside and a few outside. Eventually, she asked the server to be moved and a manager stepped in and helped move the family outside, but it was clear the host had no intention of accommodating. The food here is genuinely great, but it's disappointing to see how the untrained staff are negatively impacting the experience. A little more hospitality would go a long way. Food - 5/5 Staff - 1/5

    Looked good on the menu.

We stayed at the lodge. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The food was terrible. We had dinner at the restaurant twice, thought we would give them a second chance. Big mistake. Both times were bad. Do not recommend the food.

Wasn't a huge fan of Rock House Restaurant. Upon entering it looks like the lobby of any other hotel versus the rest of the hotel/lobby that has a really great feel to it. Prices are reasonable. Portions were good. However both my daughter and I both got really sick after eating there. Server was great and attentive.

Took an hour to get food. Food was cold. Expensive. The highlight of the visit was Seth the waiter. He was great.

Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).

We ordered two drinks, a Moscow mule and N/A beer; the cashew queso, the deconstructed chicken cordon bleu, and the brisket mac and cheese. Drinks were great. The queso was super thick and more like a black bean dip, so that didn't hit right. Dinner arrived and looked great, but the chicken was bland and really just felt like a chunk of meat to get through. The mac and cheese was OK, but be aware it is covered in a sweet BBQ sauce and is more of a braised brisket than smoked BBQ. Our server was great, and the atmosphere was great. But all of that above decent at best food came to a total of around $100 (just about $30 per entree) for a party of two. My wife and I go about once a year for a meal that expensive and it is not for the quality of food we spent at 58 West. I'd say 58W needs to either lower their prices or the consumer needs to lower their expectations and head somewhere else.

In the small unassuming town of Logan, OH, sits this lovely restaurant that is winery, brewery AND distillery! There was something for everyone. It helps that it was a gorgeous day, so we got to enjoy their giant outdoor space. We were seated so quickly, and their cauliflower crust flatbread was excellent. You will have to try to sweet potato fries with the delicious cream cheese dip. Pairs well with the maple beer.
