Mini fridge under tv in the left cabinet with glasses and ice bucket

Very cute rustic hotel! The staff here are super friendly and make it feel very welcoming. There is a grand staircase right when you walk in that takes you up to their second floor. It has a little seating area beneath a deer head with the rooms on each side. I love that the room keys are physical keeps. My room was nice and cozy. Everything looks pretty clean. I woke up with a sore throat that I thought was from the heater and I didn't use the humidifier that was provided in the closet, but it persisted for a couple days after I left so I figured I got a cold. Could be from anything/anyone but I was playing with that cute little bear since it was so soft and think it must be that cause how would you possibly clean it between guests. Seems kinda obvious but I'll know not to do that next time. Haha. There's the silver dollar restaurant/bar downstairs that's convenient and they have a Happy Hour. The location of this hotel is perfect since it's right downtown so everything is steps away. Only downside is that the elevator is in the far corner of the hotel and there's construction going on. We got lost looking for our room on the second floor after taking it because there were two doors we were supposed to go through but there was no signage indicating that. It would've been much quicker to go up the stairs but I didn't want to carry all my luggage up.

I'm not quite sure how to review this place. It's a wonderful hotel, very clean and a sight to behold. It's a historic hotel, there's lots of interesting pictures on the walls and lots of history to be read and absorbed there. The staff was awesome! The front desk staff was very helpful both before our arrival and after. We stayed in room 211, which overlooks Broadway, the main street in town. The windows are soundproof. Or very tight at least. The air conditioning unit is not. We had to wear earplugs every night in order to get some sleep with all the noise wafting up from the street until all hours of the morning. It's probably best if you ask for a room that is not above Broadway. On the plus side, my wife was able to watch the Independence Day parade right from our window. She loved that. The housekeeping staff was absolutely marvelous! Our room was always spotless, and they provided me with a fan because it got warm in our room, which I very much appreciated. The AC unit was VERY loud! The bed was a big disappointment. It was sunken in the middle. We would try to sleep on the edges, and in the middle of the night we would find ourselves bunched up in the middle due to inertia and the big slope. This mattress clearly should've been replaced years ago. The sign on the bathtub with the directions for the water temperature was exactly backwards. Why? Someone should be paying more attention. The Wort charges a premium price for a room with several issues. Again, the staff is amazing! But you may find a better value and better rest elsewhere.

Interesting place lots of charm and character. Plenty to look at while you walk down the hallway to your room specially the carved doors. Comfortable bed, clean linens and towels. Very friendly staff at the reception. Restaurant is limited as they are under renovation so don't expect much but they have a full bar and decent sandwiches. It's close to everything and just an overall cute old hotel.

I love The Wort Hotel. We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and it is full of class and charm. Our bedroom with a king bed had a nice view of the Main Street and we had everything we needed in the room, a comfortable bed with extra pillows, a mini fridge, coffee maker, robes and even slippers! The lemongrass sage soap is the absolute best! The housekeeping service is incredibly efficient and professional. I flipped the sign on the door to from DO NOT DISTURB to OUT EXPLORING JACKSON and there was a knock on the door in less than a minute to clean our room. They were putting up the foyer Christmas tree when we checked in and garland with red bows to add to the holiday ambience, and had two huge fireplaces burning day and night. I sat on the comfortable leather couch in front of the one upstairs with my laptop multiple times during our stay. Besides the cozy hospitality of the hotel, the next best thing is their dining room downstairs and frequent live music from amazing bluegrass, Americana, and Country bands. Both Friday and Saturday night the Hanging Chains played in the Silver Dollar Saloon. They were a very talented band and the dance floor was full of couples dancing the entire night. People from all over come just to listen to the live music that plays from 7-11, sometimes later. Also, the hot tub downstairs in a private area is clean, modern, and very inviting. We will be back to stay at the Wort Hotel!

worn out toilet seat at $600+ night hotel
Reed O.

Very historic hotel in the heart of the town. However this is an underwhelming hotel for $600+ a night. It compares to many $150 hotels I have stayed in even post pandemic. My issue also include a broken faucet not fixed when requested, carpet is dirty, toilet seat worn out (30+ yrs old?, the AC unit bangs when it turns off & the bathroom fan is about 100Decibals. Basically a very overpriced hotel in a great location. I wish I would have stayed at Spring Hill suite for $150 less a night, new & miles added... oh well

I'm not normally for the old school hotel... I find they usually lack amenities, but The Wort is the exact opposite. In the heart of downtown is this charming, romantic gem. I've stayed in ALOT of hotels... probably around 200 nights a year and this is right in the top three. First, it's on the National Historic Register... walk inside and you'll feel really cozy and at peace. Sounds corny I know, but it's true, just look at my pictures. Rooms are old school ranch, western... and it couldn't be a better fit. Each rooms has all the amenities... plus some you don't expect... When I woke up in the morning I was like, wow, I wish I had a humidifier... so I look in the closet and there is a humidifier... Umbrella check, Keurig check, fridge check... They also have a great restaurant you'll want to visit. I'm coming back... ASAP... check it out, you won't be disappointed. FIVE STARS!!!!

Shoshone Suite

One of our favorite hotels we've stayed at. We stayed in the Shoshone Suite and the decor is so on brand and room is large and beautiful. We were also made to feel right at home - from the front desk staff to the housekeepers to the bartenders downstairs! Everyone has been amazing. Wonderful, quaint hotel, and very well maintained. We left for breakfast, returned at 9am and room was already cleaned. And when we first checked in and went to dinner, room was tidied up when we returned. Impeccable housekeeping. We hope to come back!

The place to stay in Jackson as you can easily walk everywhere in town. You get a real metal key to your room door like the old days. The king bed room was very spacious. Turn down bed service each night accompanied by Silver dollar chocolates. Only negative was noisy AC unit in room. The staff can book any activity for you - trout fishing, white water rafting, hiking, etc. The hotel has two restaurants, the Silver Dollar Grill (avoid) and the Silver Dollar Bar good for drinks, hamburger and live country/western music. Best places to eat - Go to Persaphone for breakfast, Local for happy hour and Snake River Grill for dinner. You will find tourists and locals at each of these places.

Wild west rest!

Yee Haw!! This here hotel was the perfect watering hole where my posse and I could get some great rest as only a cowboy and his girl can! From the beautiful lobby to the awesome pictures everywhere, this historic hotel made me feel like i was in the old west complete with all modern day conveniences! From The large wooden door that needed an actual key to the taxidermy that peppered the foyer, the building exuded all a western movie could offer! The bed was high and comfy and the bath rooms were great! The warmth the staff demonstrated from check in to the restaurant was solid! Although it seemed a steep price, pardner, this western staple was well worth it!

Nice boutique hotel. Love the common areas and fireplace seating on two floors. It's very quaint and traditional. Great ambiance. Upon arrival we were invited to a wine and cheese reception and got to meet the general mgr. Very nice greeting for our arrival. The rooms are nicely appointed although ours was a bit small. The bathroom is tiny. Our second room for our adult kids was a better choice with two queens and a much larger bathroom. The hotel is PERFECTLY located in the heart of town making it easy to walk anywhere in Jackson. They have a great bar with live entertainment that is hopping at night but didn't get to dine in the hotel as we had other plans so I can't review that.

The staff is very friendly, but not necessarily truly competent. I found that when I asked the staff about different issues, they were very friendly and appeared to be helpful, but really no follow through or accurate information. They made an error on our bill and frankly did not believe us. I had to point out their error after they showed us a receipt for a dinner that was not ours. It goes without saying, they were more than a bit surprised that we were correct. It's so true, if you want to stay in the city, this is a great location. We too wanted to stay at The Four Seasons, but I luckily realized it was way too far away from any Sumner/Fall activity. We were here in October and there's really nothing to do at the Teton Village where The Four Seasons is during off-season. If you stay at the Hotel Jackson you're right in the middle of the town (that was obviously made just for visitors, but still lovely) and you can go look at all the shops and walk to the restaurants. The breakfast were very good at the Figs in-house restaurant. Figs is a Lebanese restaurant which is fine, but if one is staying for any length of time, one does not want to keep eating that same food. There's nothing on the menu like a salad with protein or hamburger that one can order. The bar is extremely small only five chairs. Very inadequate. I was told they plan on adding a restaurant, roof top bar, and more rooms - - sorely needed. They did provide yummy macaroons at night and once while we were staying there another treat. Glad we stayed there, enjoyed it.
