Stopping at the Kudar for a couple days. We love it there.
John S.

Still riding to Jackson on the motorcycle and still staying at the Kudar. No frills but fairly priced. Good people, good place, happy to be at our home in Jackson.

Least expensive across from one of the more expensive places.

I want to be fair, you pay for what you get. This was one of the least expensive places to stay in Jackson, WY. It is a mom and pop motel/cabin property. I stayed in a motel room. Dated furniture, industrial strength carpet (probably a good idea), inner spring bed comfortable enough, small shower and toilet and sink. NOT ADA compliant. I felt safe enough until I saw two of Jackson's finest detain a handcuffed guest. EMS showed up afterwards. Saw the individual back on property later. Sketchiness rating went up after that for me. I had no issues, but I'm not sure I would want to stay again. At least not in the motel section. The cabins be okay.

Cabin #12 first room, twin bed.

We stayed here a night before heading into Yellowstone. Good place for a good price, we stayed in one of the cabins. It's nice and rustic - all it's missing is a deer head :) The place has air conditioning, a fridge, a microwave, and a bath. The people are nice and helpful. There's a nice yard in the middle to play in, too.

Away from the hustle and bustle but within walking distance. Great spot along the creek. The inn has an old world, warm, grandma's home feel to it. Not bad but not my style. Old carpet and decor that needs a refresh. Service was excellent and couldn't have been nicer. They remember names and are so friendly and caring. Good breakfast to start your day with little snacks to take along with you on your adventure. Homemade cookies were yummy. Heated coffee cups were a nice touch.

The family who run it have been in the industry for 40 years and are passionate about every aspect of the Inn. The feeling when you enter the lobby and dining area is so welcoming and charming! Everyone was so friendly with outstanding service. We stayed in the Harlequin room which the owner told us that Cosmopolitan magazine declared in 2005 that the view from the balcony was the most romantic in the nation. I'd have to agree. We sat out there every night with a glass of wine. The trees rustled slightly in the soft wind, birds chirped happily and the soothing sound of the creek makes for a very enchanting place. Add the incredible view and you don't want to leave. The room was very large, nicely decorated with every amenitie we could ever think of. The owners are remodeling the rooms, so it could be even nicer when you book. The outside of the Inn is so charming and inviting. Book in advance so you have the opportunity to enjoy this truly unique and amazing place. It's a stay I will always remember!

The rooms are beautiful--modern, high-end, and perfectly appointed--but what truly sets this place apart is the service. The staff here provides a truly next-level experience. The staff is very friendly, but not necessarily truly competent. I found that when I asked the staff about different issues, they were very friendly and appeared to be helpful, but really no follow through or accurate information. They made an error on our bill and frankly did not believe us. I had to point out their error after they showed us a receipt for a dinner that was not ours. It goes without saying, they were more than a bit surprised that we were correct. It's so true, if you want to stay in the city, this is a great location. We too wanted to stay at The Four Seasons, but I luckily realized it was way too far away from any Sumner/Fall activity. We were here in October and there's really nothing to do at the Teton Village where The Four Seasons is during off-season. If you stay at the Hotel Jackson you're right in the middle of the town (that was obviously made just for visitors, but still lovely) and you can go look at all the shops and walk to the restaurants. The breakfast were very good at the Figs in-house restaurant. Figs is a Lebanese restaurant which is fine, but if one is staying for any length of time, one does not want to keep eating that same food. There's nothing on the menu like a salad with protein or hamburger that one can order. The bar is extremely small only five chairs. Very inadequate. I was told they plan on adding a restaurant, roof top bar, and more rooms - - sorely needed. They did provide yummy macaroons at night and once while we were staying there another treat. Glad we stayed there, enjoyed it.

After being in a highly chlorinated hot tub I wanted to rinse off and hydrate my skin with some lotion. None to be found in the men's locker room. I asked one of the massage therapist who happened to be walking by and she said "we don't put lotion in the locker rooms". My response- "you don't provide lotion in a spa locker room"? Her response "nope". She was very rude, snappy and short in her responses. The inside temp of the spa was 88 degrees. We felt like we were suffocating in very hot air. Unfortunately we ended up leaving before our appointments. We did not get a welcoming friendly vibe. Lack of interests in the customer needs. No thank you! I will take my time and money to another spa. In response to Amber- you are correct. We did receive a tour of your spa which was much appreciated and also expected. Your spa men's locker room also lacked correctly sized spa slides. All were size extra small. But after a very brief short tour there was no one left in sight to assist. Staying at the Alpine House is similar to staying in a personal log cabin with all the amenities which include a fireplace and balcony in most rooms. The beds were comfortable and clean, the water was hot and the wifi was fast. In addition, the property has a small fitness facility available with a few free weights and ready cooked hot breakfast every morning. A small perk is that there is water, coffee, tea, cider, etc. 24/7 in the lobby. There is also a small workspace with a couch and fireplace for those needing a break from their roommates. The staff are very friendly, helpful and are ready to offer help when needed. Check in and check out are very quick and efficient. They are well trained and have a good knowledge of the area, offering suggestions to eateries and other local attractions. One of the best features to this property is their proximity to the town. Only three short blocks, one can be in the town square by foot in minutes. Staying in Jackson Hole during one of the coldest months (February) can prove challenging while navigating through the snow/ice covered roads and having a proper hot shower. However, The Alpine House shielded us from these issues with the short stroll to town and the consistent hot water flow from the showers.
