    Breakfast Burrito
    Sarah S.

A great breakfast/lunch/brunch spot with an expansive menu. There were so many different things that looked good on their menu. I went with the breakfast burrito (veggie) which was delicious. I got sweet potato fries instead of chips and salsa. The sweet potato fries were great. Our table also got the veggie patch which was essentially my veggie burrito without the tortilla. It was a nice portion. Also ordered was a jalapeño bacon burger that my husband devoured with curly fries and a regular burger. Angela, our server, was our very festive, helpful and on top of it. She made the visit very pleasant. The back patio was a nice spot in the afternoon. They had some great specials too.

Absolutely loved this place! We ended up coming here twice during our stay in Santa Barbara! Let me start out by saying the service here is so warm and homey if that makes sense! There is one to two waiters and one of them is the sweetest nana I've ever met! Plus she is so quick on her feet it makes me feel like I need to go to the gym!! The food is sooooo good. Your traditional breakfast diner! Everything about it is so cozy! The food comes out quick!

    Chiliquiles! SO GOOD!!!

I knew I was giving 5 stars before we even received our food. Angela made me feel like royalty. She was so sweet, funny, and attentive! I sat in the outside area. It was so peaceful! Coffee stayed topped off and food came out hot. We ordered the Chicken and waffles and chiliquiles. The chicken and waffles were good and crispy BUT the chiliquiles were incredible! The flavor in the steak paired with the salsa verde on the chiliquiles went so well together!

    Ham Benedict Classic

We arrived around 11:00AM on a Sunday and the wait was an hour. There are shops next door that you can browse while waiting. Counter, Indoor and outdoor dining. We were sat on the patio and it was actually cooler than inside. The man who did the seating has a great sense of humor. Our waitress Angela, was welcoming, friendly and she checked on us regularly. We ordered the deep fried strawberries. ham Benedict, and a side of bacon. The Benedict was delicious, especially the ham! Nice hollandaise flavor. The strawberries were a bit tart, but had chocolate chips and whipped cream to sweeten them up. Nice brunch place!

This place should be on a map with a sign that says "You'll be back, Promise". I wish I could have tried more things because our food was so delicious. We had the country fried steak and chilaquiles. The food came out pretty fast and HOT HOT hot. Someone in the kitchen cooks with the love of a full happy heart. The steak was cooked to perfection and the flavor AMAZING. We took the train up and will be back just to eat breakfast here.

    Nice clean place

Typical café. We got waffles, bacon, and eggs, potatoes, toast. Everything was very good. We got takeout and it was interesting that they added gratuity to our bill. Normally that is at our discretion but since they are so nice and friendly there, I did not really care. There is always a long line on the weekend but it's well worth it.

The special of the day: bone in fried chicken served with 2 eggs n biscuit n gravy with a side of pepper bacon.

Any time I'm in So Cal I make it a special trip to stop in Carpinteria at the worker bee cafe. I've been coming here for years with visiting every 2 years or so, but nothing changes and I love every bite. It's a homie vibe and the staff are always friendly and tentative. I recommend the chicken fried steak, hash browns, biscuit with over medium eggs and a side of jalapeno bacon. All I have to say is get ready for a nap after clearing your plate. Haha!

    Corned Beef Hash

We spent Memorial Day Weekend in Carpinteria and having brunch at The Worker Bee was the perfect way to end the long weekend before the drive back home. The wait list was posted outside the door but we got seated right away by the nicest gentleman who was the owner. He was apologetic for being frazzled which was not necessary at all! Just happy to see the place was busy and almost all tables and the bar area filled with hungry customers. He gave us our menus, explained each side and when I asked what he recommended - he happily shared that they make their own corned beef hash in house and that was all my husband needed to hear!!! He got the hash while I ordered the breakfast burrito and our son had the chicken tenders. The corned beef hash was excellent and the meat was tender!! No wonder he was raving about it! My breakfast burrito was delish and the salsa was perfect! We also ordered a side of the jalapeño bacon and that is highly recommended!! Our server was also very attentive without being so in your face which we appreciated. We hope to find ourselves back in Carpinteria someday soon and we will definitely be back at The Worker Bees!

Service was great, and we were there early before the Saturday night crowd, it was airy and calm, overall enjoyable.

The restaurant was busy, with tables pretty much full both inside and outside, but luckily we were able to get seated without a wait. I ordered the fish tacos, my son had the linguini pomodoro, and my wife ordered the cioppino. Everything was delicious. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, and the fish in the cioppino was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The broth was rich and savory--maybe a little on the salty side, but we still really enjoyed it. The service was another highlight. Everyone was kind, friendly, and welcoming, and you could tell the staff was working hard to make sure everyone had a good experience. I also really liked how diverse the menu is. There are plenty of choices for different tastes, whether you're in the mood for seafood, pasta, tacos, or something else. Overall, this was an awesome first experience and a great discovery during our trip to Carpinteria. It created such a relaxing atmosphere for lunch. It was my wife's and mother's first visit, and they both really enjoyed the ambiance. Honestly, the atmosphere made the food taste even better. We ordered the risotto with added chicken, along with mussels and a few other dishes. The risotto was creamy without feeling too heavy, and adding chicken made it much more satisfying. The only slight disappointment was the mussels. They were much smaller than expected -- probably not in season -- and there was barely any meat inside Still, the overall experience, atmosphere, and quality time with family made it a very enjoyable lunch. Definitely a nice spot for a relaxing lunch on a beautiful day
