    Showed up first thing in the morning and they really weren't prepared to have customers. There was nowhere to sit because they were still cleaning and mopping the floor. Their menu has fun names on it, but the coffee taste like nothing. I have a strange and unusual latte and let me tell you there is nothing strange and unusual about the taste of milk.Not a bit of cardamom in sight. Thankfully, I had canceled my meeting that morning, so nobody was meeting me there, which is a relief since there was no too have coffee and pastries.

    Thank you Sister Nikki for making sure I had a cake for my bday

    "Are you a good witch...or a bad witch..." Here you can be anything you want...but I'd like to think only "good witches" hang here. Step inside to a mystical & magical experience. Owner's Celina & Danielle, created a safe space for witches of all ages...But upstairs don't even think about it little witches...this is an "Adult Witch Only" space. See ya when you are 21:) The front lounge is a coffee bar with a pretty nice size room to sit, chat, cast spells or do a little work. The drinks here are simple but tasty and the bakery has gluten free and vegan options. During the day you are allowed to venture back to the restaurant area to enjoy your coffee as well. Once the bewitching hour begins the restaurant is open for dinner and the coffee bar is only in the front lounge. Get ready for one of their "specialty witches cocktails." The bartenders here are super friendly and shake a good drink! Both food/drink menus are cleverly named. Try one for fun! Only open for a few months and I am blown away by the details...There isn't one square inch that hasn't been carefully thought out and decorated to match the spirit of the theme here. This "white witch" could go on and on but I suggest you check it out yourself. Walk-ins are welcome but you may have to wait a bit. You can also sit at the bar or hang in the upstairs lounge (no reservation needed up here). If you want dinner then I would highly recommend making a resy since this place is "smokin hot!" I have been here now for coffee, cocktails at the downstairs bar, and the upstairs lounge for my bday. My favorite new hang... ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

    Cast your cares and problems away and enter the dimly-lit tavern, bar, bakery and cafe. Plan to stay awhile to take in the decor, music, vibe, food and cocktails. The hostess, mixologists, and servers were very friendly and helpful; shall I say "enchanting," best describes their charm and grace. The photos can give you a glimpse of the intricate decor, fancy lighting, art and furnishings. The light beams over the downstairs bar were shaped like a Witch's hat. The walls were painted black and purple with swirls of sparking paint resembling a star galaxy. My friend, Te-See made reservations for her birthday in the bar upstairs. It was very spacious, with plenty of tables. There were ten in our group. Some sat at a high-top table with bar stools and the others at a coffee table with a couch and chairs. Tempting hand-crafted cocktails were awaiting our arrival. Choose from martinis, to Full-Moon Sangria, Hex Breaker (rum), Serpent's Kiss (tequila), or the Final Spell (smokey drink)... to name a few. I went with the Shadow Work Sour (bourbon, lemon, rosemary syrup, egg white foam and activated charcoal), definitely worth a try. My friend had the Green Witch (vodka, cucumber, lime, elderflower and rosemay syrup). We also indulged in Deviled Dragon's Eggs $12, which were "heavenly" with a little mustard, dill and mayo. We shared the Persephone's Cheese Plate ($22) with three cheeses, sourdough toast, grapes and jam. Followed by Halfing Tater Wedges (seasoned with garlic aioli, vegan parmesan and parsley). You simply must experience this first-hand, step out of your comfort zone and routine for a fascinating evening to remember! We are returning next week for another chapter and experience. Sincerely, RoseMary {*;*}

    It's quite magical and gives it a woodsy feel like a fairytale book exploded into real life and the witches will be on the hunt for you! Looking to cast a spell, you walk into a coffee bar and pastry shop through the purple doors and an open seating area with natural lighting to fill the room. If you want to stir the cauldron head on back to the dinning area with hanging flowers and a bar that gives off an eclipse of the night sky. I ordered up front at the coffee bar, a hot tea with a strawberry gluten free and vegan brownie on the side. It's one of their popular items and was delicious. The tea had fresh flowers in it as well I got jasmine green tea. I met some fellow witches and they also grabbed some pastries and a cold brew or two. Baristas were friendly and service was fast. **street parking available or pay for parking in their lot.

    Came here for a lil pick me up with a couple of yelp friends! I got the cold brew coffee- it was smooth and delish! One friend got the strawberry chocolate brownie and a tea - she enjoyed it. And my other friend got another pastry and latte - also enjoyed it. The space is super large and very cute! Love the themes and the staff was super friendly. The bathroom was clean, as was the whole location. There is street parking, metered street parking, and they have a lot. During the day it's about 3 bucks for 2 hrs, and towards the evening I think it was 8 bucks per 2 hrs. Overall was great! Can't wait to be back for dinner or other foods!

    Omg super cute spot, LGBTQ friendly, gender fluid bathrooms, Super epic spot, with the KINDEST workers. Coffee shop, breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktail bar, pastries, they have it all... literally. The food here is spot on, everything is delicious, I haven't got a single thing I do not like here. You MUST MUST MUST just check this place out for the ambiance, it's so cute. Perfect for photoshoot, or Instagram pictures, content, that thing. Great girls night spot,

    Absolutely amazing place! I came into town to visit a friend and they took me here. Id seen pictures but they do not do this place justice. The entire place is a witchy theme with different sections. Beautiful decor and artwork all around. There were 2 large rooms, one was a cafe and the other was a restaurant and bar style. We only got stuff on the cafe side today and everything was amazing. The banana cake was so flavorful and sweet, the rosemary cookie was no lie one of the best and unique cookies I've ever had. We peeked at the menu for lunch and dinner and everything looked amazing. We can't wait to go back and try more and enjoy more of our time here.

    The vibes? Immaculate. The service? So friendly. The pastry? Delicious. Just popped in for a quick bite but can't wait to go back for a proper drink/meal sometime soon! So glad this space is back open & they do such a great job theming it out.

    Enter through the purple doors and step into an enchanted world where magical elixirs are poured, cauldrons create magnificent feasts, and spells are cast by candlelight. Danielle Ozymandias & Celina Surniak had a dream to create a whimsical bakery, café, bar, restaurant, & performance venue. With the aid of online crowdfunding and the help of 200 volunteers, their vision came to life. The Witch's Cottage is a fascinating abode of witchy delights. A place where hidden wonders are everywhere and fairytales come to life. My bestie and I made plans to meet here for dinner. However, she thought I made reservations and I thought she did. We showed up on a Friday night to discover that neither of us made a reservation. Thankfully, the darling hostess was able to fit us in and seated us at the best table in the house. I had a view of the entire room and was in awe of the beautiful interior. It was fabulous! I felt right at home. Our server Lexia was fantastic! She was so sweet and attentive. We all loved her! We ordered the Persephone's Cheese Plate & the special Deviled Dragon's Eggs. The cheeses were lovely especially when paired with the tomato jam & cherry jam. The special Deviled Dragon's Eggs were topped with vegan caviar & gold leaf. It was my first time trying vegan caviar, and I could get used to it. For Entrees we ordered: Bayou Witch Stew, Dwarven Cindered Grilled Chz, & The Green Man Salad. My salad was exceptionally good. I had some of the Grilled Cheese and it was tasty. Bestie #2 enjoyed the stew. For dessert we shared the Banana Cake, which was vegan and absolutely delicious! The cocktails were also expertly crafted. My friend had The Protection Spell - a Mezcal based margarita with smoked black foam. I had The Green Witch (Vodka, Cucumber, Lime, Elderflower, & Rosemary Syrup) & Serpent's Kiss (Serrano Tequila, Licor 43, Lime, & Combier). Each one was nicely balanced and so very tasty. Before we left, we checked out the bar upstairs. It's just as cool with a cozy vibe and welcoming atmosphere. My friends and I agreed that we had to come back and have drinks and appetizers here. Needless to say, I absolutely love this place. *Vegan, vegetarian, & gluten free options. *Metered street parking (free after 6 pm) or paid parking lot.

    The Witches Cottage in North Hollywood is an enchanting and magical addition to the LA witchy scene. Reimagining the space that used to be the Federal Bar, they've transformed it into a stunning fantasy-themed café and restaurant. The decor is easily the highlight--think cottage gothic aesthetics, rich oil paintings, and lush florals everywhere you look. The menu features pastries, quiches, and a variety of coffee options with clever, witch-inspired names. My friend and I shared a slice of the broccoli and cheese quiche, which unfortunately fell short; it was a bit dry and felt overpriced for such a small portion. I also tried The Wicked Witch drink, which was okay, but ultimately lacked a punch of flavor. The real selling point here is the incredible atmosphere. It's a visual dream and would be a fantastic backdrop for a themed event or a creative photoshoot. While the aesthetic is 10/10, the food and drinks still have some room for improvement to match the magic of the surroundings.

    omg... the witch's cottage is simply everything you could ever need! a cafe, restaurant, and bar all decked out with fantastical decor we happened to stumble by on open mic night, so we had to go upstairs, but i will be back to try more of their downstairs food offerings. this isn't your typical bar food... we agreed the deviled eggs were some of the best we've had, with the smokiest paprika and the visual of the colored eggs matched the vibes perfectly. i enjoyed the cauldron mac, which was nicely baked with breadcrumbs and had a rich cheesiness to it. can't wait to come back here!

    A few years ago, a friend and I had a great time at the Cauldron witch-themed bar near Knott's Berry Farm. I was really excited to find a similar themed bar closer to home in NoHo. There is a parking lot behind the place and some street parking, although the Arts District area can be crowded. The old building is very charming from the outside with bright purple doors. I had not read much about the place beforehand, but really enjoy themed locations so was mainly interested in the decor. Upon entry I was interested to find there is a cafe up front, a restaurant and a bar upstairs. Each is decorated in theme, but slightly different vibes. They really created an enchanting vibe there with many people dressed in theme (including me). I was interested in the restaurant but my friend had already ordered some food at the cafe so I decided to start with dessert and try the banana cake. It's a personal taste thing, but I don't like super cloying and sweet cakes. This cake slice was gorgeous but for me it had way too much frosting that was way too sweet. I could not taste much banana in it. My fault for starting with dessert when I was hungry. We tried to check with the restaurant to see if they had any openings. There was nobody at the front podium for quite some time so we asked the cafe staff if we can go back to ask. After asking, we headed back. There was another staff member there who said he thought it was full but they also had a bar with small bites. I stood at the threshold of the room (not a step inside) and took a few quick photos, making sure not to disturb diners. Next thing I know the hostess showed up and with a bit of attitude told me I was not allowed back there and could not walk around on my own. She repeated this twice. This is the first time I saw her during the visit and no other staff indicated this. I found the experience off putting. I would have given another star if this experience did not occur. There are ways to politely tell a paying customer they have to be accompanied by staff in the other rooms - but diplomacy was not her strength. And there was no signage indicating the process up front. After we were done with the cafe, I asked one of the more polite staff members if we can go to the bar. She brought us back to the hostess who walked us up there. I still would have been grumpy but the bar staff had great suggestions and were delightful. The bartender recommended an apple brandy drink that I would not have ordered, but enjoyed. My friend ordered a mocktail and there were a good amount of choices. The bar is so spacious with many comfy chairs and couches to lounge in. They were playing Hocus Pocus (probably on loop) which was funny. I did not end up eating there that night. I would be willing to try the restaurant and bar again, and hope by then the service issues are ironed out.

    Bakery, Restaurant and Entertainment, perfect way to describe The Witch's Cottage. I have been here several times prior to the new ownership. Nice ambience, good vibes and great location. Met some friends here to celebrate Te-See B birthday. Good times! This place is huge. On the 1st floor is the Cafe/Bakery with counter service of all the pasties and other goodies with several coffee and teas. There are several table, chairs and comfy couches. In the back is a full serve dining table service restaurant with a bar and a themed inspired menu. 2nd floor has a bar, comfy chairs and a stage for live entertainment. Small bites and cocktails are served here with an amazing decor designed like a forest.

Cons: food and drinks were bad, games were minimal, damaged, with pieces everywhere, staff was off putting Examples: - my friend ordered a hot chocolate and said it was the worst she's ever had. The water to powder ratio made it more like tea. She asked for more powder. They brought out a Swiss Miss packet, and made passive aggressive comments about how they were going above and beyond for her and they should charge her double (she's not a picky person so for her to complain you know it's bad) - we only found three games in the place but they were small plastic things like flick the ball into the hoop with all pieces out of the boxes and laying randomly under a tv tray behind a bar table - the food wasn't very good - the waiter didn't remember he needed my payment for the two hours I was there - the menu was basically non existent because their fryer was down and so they couldn't offer most items - it was dark and hard to see anything - the owner and her relative took over our hangout for around 30-40 min, asking us to bring in our "actor friends" and help them get more business.

They…read morehave a tiki marketplace several times a year, and this one was held on a Sunday afternoon from noon to 6pm. It takes place mostly in their rear patio area and parking lot, but a good number of vendors were also in an adjacent air conditioned event room. They have a very small parking lot, but it was occupied by vendors during this event. Do not park in the parking lots of the adjacent businesses, as we were warned when entering the Tonga Hut that cars get towed regularly. There's plenty of street parking in the nearby neighborhood. Entering from the rear, there is a good sized covered patio with around eight benches. We went inside to check it out and grab a drink. The interior is fairly small with four good sized booths, a lounge area with a large J-shaped couch with several small tables, and around ten seats at the bar. It is dimly lit with some basic tiki décor, and has an old-school feel. They had a fixed cocktail menu for this event which is understandable. We stood in line at the bar for about ten minutes, got our drinks and went out to the patio. The bartender was friendly, and didn't seem flustered by the high volume of patrons. I had the Horned Beast O' The Celtic Sea (Oceanus Hibernicus Irish Malt, Jamacian Rum, House Made Falernum & Orgeat, Peach, Citrus, Dash of Cherry Heering, $13). She had the Leprechaun Grog (Three Rums, Lime, Grapefruit, Honey, Spice, Soda, $14). Both drinks were good, were served in souvenir plastic cups, and were a bargain at $13 to $14. If you ordered a drink containing Oceanus whiskey, the bartender gave you a gold coin and you could exchange it with the Oceanus representative on the patio for a free T-shirt. Durango Tacos was setup near the rear entrance for food. We had four tacos (two carne asada and two veggie), and they were good and reasonably priced. This was the first tiki marketplace we have attended. There were around twenty vendors with a good assortment of art work, tiki mugs, tiki clothing, tiki décor, and other miscellaneous items. I purchased a few nice tiki shirts which were a steal at $20 and $25. The vendors and visitors were all very friendly and in a festive mood. We hung out for about ninety minutes and had a good time. We will return at some point to try their regular cocktail menu and see what it's like on a non-event night.

    Tonga hut is my favorite local tiki bar, but it is such a hit or miss when I go!…read more On a weekend, you could easily walk in with no problem or be hit with a one-hour wait. Sometimes they have servers, other times you order at the bar. The last time I went, there was a long line as only one bartender was making drinks, yikes! Despite that, the drinks are solid, reasonably priced, and strong! They have a variety of drinks and nightly specials. Each bartender also has their own "secret menu" specials that only they can make. The decor is very on theme, and they have a fire pit and heaters outside for when it is chilly.

We had two separate servers because one went home during the middle of our dinner and both were equally horrible. Not even exaggerating when I say we waited at least 15 minutes after we asked for the check and there were probably only 10 tables in the entire restaurant. And we had to call her back over to ask for a second time. SMH. The food although flavorful was so ridiculously priced it was not even funny. I got a "ribeye ". Was literally eight thin slices of steak, like 1" x 1" size for $42! No, I will not be coming back here for so many reasons. The view is great. Castaways is definitely not what it used to be in the way of quality but at least you get more and you get the view. But definitely not worth it going to this place. It was quite a frustrating evening. Also, if you do decide to go here, just bring a coat when it's a little bit cooler in the evenings cause it does get cold up here and getting the staff to manage the heaters correctly is a whole other frustration. Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it

Everyone is literally there to have a good time, doing their own thing. Like I want to say, this is a safe place (?) I don't think I've ever used those words to describe a bar before! There's an entire wall of board games for you to choose from. We played about 3 or 4 games? And each one had all the pieces, amazingly! This just goes to show you that the people that visit this establishment respect and care for the games, which is a reflection on the clientele itself. And of course, you're welcome to bring your own game as well. We got there a bit after opening so we were able to get one of the multi seater tables. When we left at 3PM, the place was packed! The bar seats were all taken and the outside seating was pretty filled too. So be sure to get here early if you're looking for a table. Got an order of the chicken tenders and sweet potato tots. The chicken tenders was alright. But the sweet potato tots were delicious! We also ordered drinks. The food didn't take long and the staff was friendly. Parking is strictly street parking. So don't go parking at the KFC lot next door. Honestly, this place is great! Check it out if you're looking for a spot to chill and hang out! Good people and good vibes all around!
